@John Komar Good evening from Germany, thank you for the video. I am surprised how easy it is to replace the lock on the passenger side. On my CLK 320 Cabrio, the lock on the passenger side opens automatically after about 10 seconds when I use the remote key to operate the central locking. You can then hear how the electric motor constantly tries to pull the nipple back down. Unfortunately, this has been happening permanently for 10 days, day and night. A friend of mine has changed something about it so that I can only open and close the passenger door from the inside. Can you tell me what is wrong with my lock? Does it help maybe if I just replace this part, what looks like a plug? Thank you very much for your help and best regards from Germany.
Well I haven't worked on one in quite a while but from what I recall it sounds like the exterior handle isn't engaged with the lever that unlocks the door. If you take the handle off and then looking at the exterior of the door and then stick your finger into the handle hole closest to the door opening and you will feel a metal lever(bottom right of hole). Using your finger you can pull or squeeze it to the outside of the door and the door will open. When you install the handle that is the lever you need to make sure the handle engages. If this lever is not engaged the door will not open using the handle and the inner handle is the only one to work.

THE DOOR HANDLE WILL MOVE IN AND OUT WHEN PULLING ON THE DOOR HANDLE, BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. HOW SHOULD I FIX THIS PROBLEM. AND IS THIS AN EASY THING TO DO YOURSELF ???
The door handle pulls on a lever releasing the door lock. Couple of things, take off the handle and you will notice this lever, you can use your finger to pull it toward you as you stand in from of the door. If the door opens then either the handle end is not engaged with the lever or it could be broken off(highly unlikely). If the door doesn't open when you pull the lever then the lock could be bad. Most likely someone reinstalled the handle and did not properly set the handle to engage the lever, it happens often.

Adrian Ball there is no cable the handle rests on a lever. If you just replaced the handle it may not be engaged.

U can use 5/32 us hex key or 4mm hex
