    Should I start practice exams before or after I finish all the content/syllabus?

      @ How long before? Around what month should I start? How much content do I need to know before I start? Thx 😸

      Also, how much content do I need to cover during summer holidays? Unit 3 for all subjects? Cheers 😽

    Hey Darren, if you started exams for maths quite early (i.e. July), when did you finish learning the content? Also, how did you study ahead for maths (while also doing well in your other 3/4s)?

      Hey Neel I don’t remember when I finished learning the content, but I still had a decent chunk to go when I first started practice exams. With studying ahead for maths, at tutoring we were a little in front of what school was covering so I’d learn/revise the new content there. I don’t think it’s good to aim to be ‘more and more’ ahead of the class (that’d create more work each day) - instead, if you stay a couple topics ahead continuously, then the workload should be pretty steady each day and wouldn’t affect the other subjects significantly.

    Hey Darren, my comparative sac is on the 4th of September and my English exam is on the 26th of October. Do you reckon if I start preparing after the comparative, that's enough time?

      Hey Tanta! I’d recommend start preparing before the Comparative. Write some timed essays (my timings were 60/50/70) especially in the section/s you didn’t do that well in. It helps ease nerves a bit as well! But if you’re quite confident in your results throughout the year then just do a little bit and ramp it up more after the sac

    With 3 weeks remaining for the first exam, how many times a week would you study for each subject and how long? After how long do you take breaks. (for 5 subjects)

    • @DarrenTan21
      @DarrenTan21  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d study every day. No strict schedule, just clarifying what I want to get done before the exam and what position I want to be in, then going out and doing that

      Make every practice exam count, and work on a skill everyday. Also make sure you know what you want to get done before the exam.

    Is it too late to start, especially for methods?

    • @DarrenTan21
      @DarrenTan21  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A little late, but depends on your study score goals. Much more important now to learn from the mistakes in each exam rather than trying to get them all done.
