thanks darren! just a quick question, what percentage should i be aiming for in exam 1 and exam 2 in order to guarantee a 45+ study score in math methods?
Honestly the best way is to go through the mcq questions you’ve already done. The mcq questions are similar each year in what they test - so if you get a q wrong in 2016, really try and figure out how to do it and how they may alter the question, and when you see it in 2017 you should hopefully know how to approach it.
Hey Darren, if I'm obtaining roughly 60% on each methods exam, is that adequate for a ss of 30? Also, thanks so much for the english exam I think it went really really well!
Hey Lunar! Glad to hear you feel good about the exam! With methods, the percentage to score ratio varies year to year, you can check out the yearly vcaa statistics: www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/statistics/2021/section3/vce_mathematical_methods_ga21.pdf From 2021 it seems 60% would net you around a 30 (check medians for the exams).
Cheers Darren, thanks for the support!
No worries Aria, a massive good luck!

I’d say losing less than 12 marks overall should get you higher than 45
@@DarrenTan21 thanks darren!
@@DarrenTan21 did you mean losing 12 out of 240 marks (so losing 6 marks across both exams) or 12 out of 120?
hey darren,
what is the notebook you used for your bound reference as I am struggling to find one
Hey Jack! I printed out VCAA exams + photocopied/printed pages from my notes, and had it all bound at Officeworks

Darren, are you planning to make a similar video for languages?
I’ll have a video out on Chinese and another for Latin, but I hope the tips will be applicable for other languages too
Hey darren could you possibly share your bound reference especially the difficult questions you had on it in a link. Great vid.
Thanks Alex! I only have a physical copy unfortunately, I’ll see if I have time to scan it
