The road to hell is often paved in good intentions. Yuji gets tunnel vision and that can get him caught up in justifying his”any means” necessary thought process.
We are physically seeing him turn into a monster. Sukuna rips half his face off(probably how Sukuna lost half his face back in the day). Yuji super nova Sukuna lower jaw(the way Mahito sliced Yuji jaw). It’s like you said opposites.
Sukuna is turning into a Yuji(via having his philosophical beliefs changed to reflect Yuji pov) Yuji is morphing into a Sukuna(via pure unrelenting aggression and probably unconsciously adapting Sukuna pov)

To me I think Yuji is so deadset on stopping Sukuna that everything else is slowly becoming irrelevant it’s almost kind of how Jin was deadset on bringing Yuji to the world with Kaorijaku; they were both willing to do anything to achieve a goal, but their kindness blinded them somewhat

Burnt out on the tragic villain back story but Sukuna's life was only being strong. His mom presumably was starving, so he ate his brother. Assuming she died he had to be strong enough to survive because I doubt he was adopted. I imagine his life he had to constantly survive and he survived through strength, that's why his social dwarism mindset, he survived because he's strong.

Would be cool to see Yuji also be able to uniquely use blood manipulation to sew objects/others back together. Learning convergence through his barrage of black flashes. Then, condensing it down into a durable but maliable thread that he can spread RCT through. He could be unleashing cuts while tanking them, instantly pulling himself back together. Would be a cool dulaity of how he inherited destruction from Sakuna he also inherited an ability to preserve.
In jjk, the child has the potential to surpass their parents as in some cases love is required to create a child and we know it creates the most twisted curses. It ultimately creates something able to match or surpass the parent. Sukuna never wanted this, which is why he forsakes love and chose to incarnate.

In short, this is a fight representing the climax of the environment’s influence over a person. What makes hero vs villain/antagonist battles so great, is the underlying ideological battle taking place. A battle the casual wouldn’t consciously notice, but will still appreciate.

so unrelated but its a theory. so if yuji has the same soul as sukuna that literally means yuji's body might naturally equal to 100% yuta eaten or heian era sukuna. all his natural strength was remaining equal to sukuna right.
meaning yuji might take one more L before we see the yuji that fought mahito. because this man isn't radiating that demon god status yet. and rn im not sure if twins share the ce or one had it and one didn't because the whole fact is that maki would have still had ce if mai didn't make a weapon thus she wouldn't be freed from it. so they probably do share and have separate pools of ce though due to mai stating she needed to and this day would come means she knows shes been holding her back because she also could have never gotten stronger if maki is still around. so yuji is probably unknowingly buffing sukuna but probably wearing out his vessel. while yuji probably gets subjugated to the sukuna cycle once and either he will come back like how he looked when mahito and sukuna laughed at yuji's misery. so hes probably remaining at the same level of strength as sukuna no matter what meaning yuji can only get stronger and tbh if he gets subjugated the cycle and sukuna gets buffs from yuji's black flashes. imma be horrified for yuji's future, but he might have been the thing made to give sukuna a proper challenge because kenny did say he has alot of faith or something in yuji plus. yuji is hitting black flash after black flash meaning when he stops getting buffs sukuna might just get stronger and through sharing everything. otherwise my prediction is yuji will just be the demon god, die once come back have a honoured one moment and or a I'm you same way as mahito and maki and mai.
