  • Let's go to comic con! In this artist alley vlog I take you behind the table with me at London Film and Comic Con (LFCC). This is their summer show, which happens in July at the Kensington Olympia, London.
I apologize for my microphone. I will get a better one. I need a better one. But for now, I hope it's okay!
It's safe to say I was underwhelmed with this con. The video says it all. However, I did have a nice time and finally got to meet some of my internet friends in real life, which is ALWAYS a bonus!
I hope this video inspires you to create ♡ Love, - Evy

I've done shows myself and helped my daughter. You absolutely need a lot of traffic to drive sales. It's good to do the smaller less attended shows to break into events but you will learn which ones are worth your time and which ones are not. I absolutely love your stuff!

Thank you so much for the kind words! 💚 I agree, traffic is definitely key. I did another convention after this one, and it was definitely better. Slow in comparison to previous years, but still worth doing in terms of income and atmosphere.
I’ve booked a few local markets for the fall and winter season, so those should be interesting… I have a good feeling about them. But I have a good feeling about everything so… We’ll see! 😂💚

I’ve been debating about tabling at LFCC events so thank you for showing your honest review! Also would love to see the trading cards come back! I still have all the previous designs in my collection 😆

Awe haha thank you! I would absolutely love to bring out more trading cards, they’re incredibly fun to illustrate 😍 But yeah, as for LFCC… Don’t do it 🤣🤣🤣 I did okay at the Spring one. But I was opposite the bar, and I noticed they charged extra for that spot during the Summer event. So if I’d paid that extra fee, those profits would have been washed away anyways 🙈😅

May I ask where you got your coloured grid cubes from? Green is also the colour I use for my table but haven't been able to find any online aside from white ones or grids in black and white. Would love to add some height to my table and be able to display more products. Love your booth by the way!

It’s really hard to find nice green display items, right?? I searched forever for grid cubes too 🙈 I actually vinyl wrapped mine. So I just bought the plain white ones (with plastic walls, not metal grids), and I used vinyl from Vinyl Frog to cover them. I think the color is called Khaki Green.
If you’re interested there’s a “How I Prep for Artist Alley” video on my channel where I show most of my process for wrapping them (it was a bit chaotic but I hope it made sense 😂)

@@EvyBenita Ah excellent! I agree it's difficult to find green display things, I'll check out your video, vinyl wrapping or DIY'ing sounds like the way to go!
