Waterford Oaks is no joke! Even for a slow guy like me it can get sketchy real quick. To watch you guys tackling that track at those speeds is nothing short of spectacular!! Great job Drew!
Good racing!! Practice your sprints!! Gate to the first berm is EVERYTHING!!! I've raced from 1978 to 2016! Had to retire due to Crohn's and 5 stomach surgeries!! 2nd at Southpark Nationals was my last race! Best of luck to you and God bless..❤
Thank you for making and for sharing the video. Your race footage and your personal commentary to go along with all of the racing action is greatly appreciated. Interesting and entertaining viewing. Best of luck moving forward with all of your continuing plans, goals and efforts.
“Feeling super sick and im ready to go” 😂 Good video , good Racing 👍🏼cam is so intimidating to race against seems like 😂 I’mmmm here! Then immmm sporadically over there!! you never know when the c4 gonna go boom😂
On most tracks in the US, the jumps aren’t super big or deep, so manualing lets us push with our legs and gain speed whereas jumping you’re just floating. It just depends on the jump.
Great racing this weekend Drew I have a question. So I wanna try and build muscle for bmx but some people are saying I shouldn’t cuz it won’t help for all the muscle you have to carry on your body while racing. What’s your personal opinion on it?
Thank you! I think it really depends on the person. Obviously, all good racers and athletes have a decent amount of muscle. However, there are guys who are much leaner/thinner than others and perform just as well. If you’re naturally quicker and thinner, you probably don’t need as much muscle and can get away with less strength. However, if you’re naturally bigger and less quick, putting on more muscle and getting stronger is probably a better option. I find it’s tough and unrealistic to try to become something that you aren’t naturally fit for, so finding what works for you is best. But obviously, even the most lean racers are still very strong and have some decent muscle on them.
the casual first straight manual should become a tradition each intro!
I raced both these tracks back in the mid 90s, Richfield looks just like i remember!! Keep on peddling!!

Keep up the hard work! You're getting better. Soon, you'll be a regular on the podium.

Cool track but definitely not for pros, just follow the leader the whole time which sucks
It was fun to switch it up but definitely a little tight haha
