What about Hal Smith, Mary Kay Bergman and Rex Everhart (the voices of Philippe the horse, a bimbette and Maurice). The three of ‘em passed away as well.
I remember this. I used to have the read-along book and cassette that I got a long time ago, with a watch included. Sadly, I lost it. But I don’t have the read-along book with me, but I might get with just the read-along book, not the cassette someday.
17:17-24 What I never understood when I had this as a kid was in the song "Be Our Guest" why were these lyrics to the song in the movie not included on this cassette before Mrs Potts sang.... Lumiere:(singing)Life is so unnerving For a servant who's not serving He's not whole without a soul to wait upon Ah, those good old days when we were useful Suddenly, those good old days are gone Ten years we've been rusting, needing so much more than dusting Needing exercise, a chance to use our skills Most days we just lay around the castle Flabby, fat and lazy You walked in and oops-a-daisy! Me:???
Let’s not forget about David Ogden Stiers, Hal Smith, Jerry Orbach, Mary Kay Bergman, Rex Everhart and Tony Jay (the voices of Cogsworth, Philippe the horse, Lumiere, a bimbette, Maurice and Monsieur D’Arque). They passed on as well.
To be completely honest- my favorite character from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is Mrs. Potts because she offers Belle some tea in her bedroom and encourages her to understand how she feels about living with the Beast and the enchanted objects.
How about you do Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore or The Little Mermaid or The Lion King because they have songs at the end too? Also, not to be rude or anything, but the quality of the audio is a smidgen flat.
Brings back so many memories of my childhood!!
Song: Be Our Guest
Sung by: Jerry Orbach, David Ogden Stiers, Angela Lansbury and chorus
Lyrics by: Howard Ashman
Music by: Alan Menken
Im crying & laughing while listening! Thnak u, so much!!!
My mom literally used to play this tape when I was a kid in the car wow this gave me such a nostalgic feeling
This snapped be back to the 90s so quick.
I just went back in time to my preteen years. This is great!
I have listen to this read along book and tape back in the 90’s and it’s kind dark sound a little.
11:38 I always like how the narrator laughs when he said that Beast and Belle had a snow ball fight
"Far off places, daring sword fights, magic spells, a prince in disguise." Sounds like Belle is a huge fan of "The Princess Bride."
I like the audio cassette version of the film.
I had this cassette tape when I was a kid! I must have drived my parents nuts asking them to play this in the car.
I just love Roy dotrices voice
I love Richard white as Gaston he's as a baritone voice as he sings
R.I.P. Howard Ashman

It might have been cut for time possibly. I know the read along cassette for The Little Mermaid had part of Under the Sea edited.
Yeah I wondered too, it's to do with the cassette duration, to prevent silence on side b
This was my first exposure to Beauty & The Beast.

If you have more of these red tapes I'd greatly appreciate them. I used to have a vast collection and listened to them often as a kid.
I dont have anymore but will probably get some more in the future
Gastons death sounds more manly here
I prefer BE A Pest by Animaniacs.
