If unbelievers can take it on board then they would have to agree that it is a supernatural event...which must come from God. Our Lady is the Mother of God because She was the natural Mother of Jesus....who is God! Why therefore the pathetic understanding? To insult the Mother really is also an insult to Jesus. Why do you believe in this? How does an apparition claiming to be higher than God (I am the mother of God) glorify God? I'm not trying to start a fight, I am trying to understand how this legend fits in with the rest of Gods story.
She is not higher than God. Sweet Mary is so humble she would be the very first one to deny that. All she wants is to guide us to her most beloved Son. To glorify God. She is one of the first evangelists. Probably the first. And everything she does is for God.
