Man the difference a years worth of patches made on this game is huge. It used to be that you were forced into the boring weapon choices monarch, backburner, hellwalker etc. But now you can roll with a ton of fresh options.

Yis yis yis. This is so true. Back in mayhem 1.0, level 4, there were like 6 viable weapons. Everything else did nothing. Much more variety now.

Before I watch:
I would say if I were playing base game only I would run...
Note: artifacts and shields will mostly be the transformer shield, back ham, or frontloader and either the deathless or victory rush artifacts any others will be listed with the character. Also grenades will be in my opinion dlc or not the reaccuring hex, cloning maddening tracker, cloning hunter seeker, or fishslap.
Moze:
capstoned green and blue trees with the blastmaster class mod/minesweeper for certain bosses and preferred weapons being the backburner, hive, sandhawk, kaoson, redline, kybs worth, trevernator and tiggs boom.
Amara:
Capstone red and blue tree or blue while dipping into both red and Greenwich tree(melee build) with the phazerker class mod and carrying the psycho stabber, face puncher, trevornator, hellwalker, kybs worth, DNA, and needle gun. Will also run the stinger shield and a dragon artifact if melee build.
Flak:
Capstone red and green tree with Bounty hunter or cosmic stalker classmods with the hellwalker, Maggie, rowans call, king/queens call, monarch, hive, backburner, lucians call, and super shreddifier.
Zane:
Capstone red and blue tree with probably a cold warrior or techspert class mod with a plaguesbearer, sleeping giant, hellwalker, cutsman, sandhawk, opq, grease trap, needle gun, trevornator, kaoson, reflux, brainstormer, and redistributor. Does well with frozen heart or snowshoe shields as well as a icebreaker class mod.
For those who are unsure there you go. Let's see what lines up in this video.
Edit I did forget the butcher(it's a pain to farm though) also the crit and hail which are really strong. My only critique of the video is to use a base game build to show off the gear you are ranking for base game only players. They're not gonna have a toboggan, revolter, or other class mods/artifacts he was using for the gear footage. Not a big deal but also not helpful for basegame only players.

Recently found a way to get a massive damage boost to weapons while playing at lower levels by setting mayhem mode to lvl 10, quit out and back in. All moxie tip weapons and maurice shops now had weapons at level 10 with huge damage increases. allowing me to play tvhm with mayhem 10 weapons. Great for getting the best out of maurices weekly shops.

I watched the other video based on this one, and I love the backburner. I've got one in every element, and its fantastic on Flak. If you have the perks where you can hit crits on body shots, and you can get a shot back for hitting critical hits. It's amazing.

queen;s or king ;s call is too much of miss than hit as enemies are way faster and it is difficult to score a ctitic even with a K and M. so should not go there.

The Hellwalker is just unapologetically broken as fuck lol. On my first playthrough I got one as a random world drop at level 12, I was still using it by the time I took on Tyreen at level 38. Truly a weapon worthy of the Doom Slayer.

Most of build variety comes from additional action skills so if you want that you need 4th tree sadly. Dlcs give just new and usually stronger gear. For ex if you dont have sp2 zane with 70 skill points has pretty much just one strong build.

I'm recently level 72 amara, got myself a mayhem 10 monarch and a few other good guns. But I don't tear through mobs or bosses like you. I only have season pass 1 I think with super deluxe edition. Is there any good Amara builds that don't rely on 4th skill tree or arms race class mods etc?

Most builds or showcases out there tend to capitilize God rolls on there gear. Not to mention revolter that everybody seems to be addicted to. Multiplicative boost to dmg from this shield is just ridiculous and its pretty much used in every bit of this vid. So if you dont have power creep bundle dont worry. As Amara main i can assure you that she doesnt need that. If you dont want to focus on melee just build yourself around phasezaerker or driver mod. Youll have it all, both dmg and survivalability, Amara is very versitile an not as broken as zane or moze.

Ironbear scales with Mayhem level, so Moze is one of the easier to use if you need a character to farm up some gear. Extras can go in the Bank and be handed out to other new Mayhem characters as needed.

You can see the Mayhem level at the bottom of the screen by the xp bars. Also that being said Mayhem 10 and 11 are the same for a heads up. Due to a bug with Mayhem 11 drops are not halved and all gains are the same as Mayhem 10.

Its synergy between skill points, weapon, class mod, artifact and on top of that its annoints. For example i have cryo mayhem 6 monarchx4 which is insane in itself with class mod giving 40% AR damage increase + artifact which gives 17% another damage bump for AR+ zane can freeze with crits and frozen enemy takes additional damage, this combo wrecks even at mayhem 10, currently farming a cryo monarch for mayhem 10, for cryo weapon an artifact giving additional freeze chance and additional damage vs frozen can do good. Though few weapons are really badass that need less effort of farming to melt enemies.

I farmed few of these and some of them are a bit different than listed here....................
Kyb's worth has base DPS of 22k x 2 while i could not farm for more than 16k x 2
Also, Multitap here has a base DPS of 99k while i could not farm for more than 23k.
