    I asked for a raise in August and was told to wait. I decided not to wait any longer and left for a remote job in December. My old job had to hire three people to do the work I was doing. I’m working from home now and am very pleased.

      Good for you! Overall I’m happy where I work (and it’s only one day in the office), but I absorbed two people’s jobs when they quit. We have another one about to retire and I’ve already told them they have to replace her. It will be impossible for the two of us left to do our jobs and hers.

    I negotiated in my evaluation the option to work from home. My request was granted. As a single parent, this model makes sense for me. It allows me a quiet environment at home when my kids are at school, it eliminated aftercare, decreased my fuel costs, and allows me to be a more functional parent. My kids love seeing me when they get off the bus and dinner is always on the stove. My productivity is through the roof. I wake up super early before work and Im able to clean, cook, exercise, etc. I feel like I have a better balance. UPDATE: If I do feel like my productivity at home may be going down, I do have the flexibility to go into the office. Sometimes I do feel the need to switch up environments.

    Remote work is more efficient for the company, better for the employer & a lot better for the planet. It reduces a lot of fossil fuel waste derived by unnecessary commuting. Plus this will finally get rid of those horrible open office environments that we were completely forced into despite being dirty, germy & hugely distracting. For me life & real freedom didn't start until the pandemic!

      Not always better. If co-working spaces are available, maybe. Working from home can actually have a detrimental affect on productivity. What is the remote worker's workspace like? Is there actually room to work? Are there too many distractions, e.g. noisy kids or pets, a television in the room, etc.? What's the Internet connection like? Is it fast enough? Reliable? Secure? Don't forget the added challenges for the IT department.

    My brother who is a software engineer, wanted a hybrid work at home situation. Even though he worked 45 years for his employer, when his employer insisted he work in the office full-time, he chose to retire early.

    If low wage workers getting basic dignity in their work and life is "going to hurt the US economy" then we are doing this whole thing wrong. This pandemic is going to be seen as the pivot point where workers have realized their power and are fighting back against exploitation by bad companies and bad managers. The markets will continue to and have responded. Bad companies are finding it hard to staff. They will need to fix their labor practices or suffer the consequences.
    Also, bad companies suffering due to bad labor practices doesn't "hurt the economy". This is how capitalism is supposed to work. Bad labor practices leads them to lose out on the best labor. That leads them to being less competitive. This is not an economic issue. This is a bad management issue.

      Its funny too, that many businesses who are able to have workers work remotely, are essentially saving thousands in utilities for their office buildings. While technically just shifting the utility bills to their employees. Or able to shift other costs in order to achieve bigger savings. And/or may not even need as many office buildings. So, I don't understand the huge demand for workers forced to return to an office environment everyday.

      @@flameshoter6 It's still a bad management issue. Financially, it's better for all parties. The problem is managers are uncomfortable with not seeing their employees daily and are convinced their slacking off even if production is increased. Imo they will, in the next 3-5 years, come to terms with remote work and it will be the norm to be able to go all remote, partial remote, or all in house by choice by the employee.

      @@Black_Corey I wouldn't say bad management. Just loss opportunity. Most people in management today still remember a time without computers and everything was paperwork. Some of them enjoy the company of others. They would feel completely isolated from society otherwise. And I agree with most of what you said otherwise. This was probably the same thought they had when switching from paperwork to computers back in the 80's and productivity skyrocketed. Management thought that computers would make people lazy because they weren't working hard filling paperwork. It wasn't until they understood computers or its usefulness that it changed their minds. Plus the costs being more affordable. Same thing with working remotely. Management just thinks people are fooling around at home. So they force employees to use software to see if people are typing and clicking away non-stop.
      But for my instance, I work as part of the state I'm in. Handing out millions of dollars to businesses. But only recoup a small fraction based on agreements. And would never be enough to solely pay employees from those recoveries. My supervisor wants me to work like an Amazon employee even when there is no work coming in and everything from all angles are completed. But she would rather have me stare at a empty computer screen for 8 hours rather than allowing me to do something productive at home or wasting time on my phone while remote. There was a time during the pandemic when we were all working strictly remote. She wanted daily updates on what I was doing. But when there is nothing to do, there is nothing to update. She never really complained about that ironically. But if I was on my phone in the office for even a minute, that was crossing a line with her lol.... Accused me of being rude and combative. But have only ever been nice. Talked to management, and her whole personality changed because they have known me for working like 3 people's jobs. And even at that point in time, there were periods of times when I had nothing to do. Everything was caught up and no emails being received. And there was no issue with me being on my phone.

    Now that I’m remote I am much happier. My mental health is much better because of it. No more micro-aggressions or awkward moments. No more having to navigate telling people that I don’t want to go to lunch with them. As an introvert - it’s lovely 😌 Ps. I believe America will be ok. I think we need to put more emphasis on walking, biking and shopping local so we’ll still have a sense of community. That connection makes a difference. I think that’s more important since people are working from home.

      As a fellow introvert, I agree with all of your points! I switched jobs last year to be able to work remotely with a pay increase, less stress, and no unpaid overtime. After my first month on the job, my mom got diagnosed with lung cancer, and now I'm actually given the time and space to help her to appointments or whatever she needs. I could never do that at my previous job!
      I hope that many more people will take advantage of this opportunity and find something that will make them happier and enjoy what life has to offer moving forward.

    My employer has fully embraced hybrid work, to the point where they sold all of the buildings they owned, and are now leasing the space from the new owners for the next 12 years. I think the pandemic dragging on for almost two years made them take a second look at their real estate footprint. Right now the big talk around the company is the concept of 'hoteling' or signing up for a desk space if you need it if the office. They have also come out with a policy that treats coming into the office space as a optional perk rather than a requirement.

    Many industries could’ve been working from home. It’s more cost effective too. The problem is companies can’t micro manage your entire life when you aren’t in the office.

    Hybrid is the future. My employer has been a bit wishy washy with the concept but I definitely plan on working in that model moving forward regardless of my current employer's stance. If they pull me back to the office permanently, I'm out. Love having a few more consistent days where I can book life appointments. Love not being exposed to toxic co-workers 5 days a week. Love saving money on gas. Love having space and less noise to get stuff done.

    If you don’t embrace remote work you are limiting your companies talent pool. Geographically isolating your company is a losing strategy. The best candidates won’t move their families for you.

    At my agency we have tracked performance and its clear work from home has not reduced productivity, and self reports show employees happier and healthier. Its been amazing for my household, more time with them, more time for my toddler, and just less stress all around.

      What we're not taking into account is, what will happen to all this un-needed office space? It's not your problem, or mine.
      But the question is the economy in general.
      Sounds like the commercial real estate market has concern.

      @@TheBandit7613 I'm a housing economist actually and yeah, I am watching the CREI market in major cities where big employers are moving to home based work (i.e. DC metro). Keep in mind leases are locked in for years, so we won't see a switchover overnight, but yeah, office to apartment conversions could happen, or downtowns could simply lose appeal.

      @@TheBandit7613 Lots of ripple effects. With many working some days or every day from home there is:
      1. Less commute = need for transport ie. less need for roads/trains/buses/planes and less need for the infrastructure they require.
      2. Less need for business travel, so see 1. Plus add less need for hotel rooms, places to eat and so on.
      3. Less need for the business uniform - or maybe just the business pants 🙂
      But on the other hand there is:
      1. Need for more internet speed.
      2. Home office equipment.
      3. Space for home office work.
      4. A need for new ways to have that talk at the water cooler.

      Come to think of it, the whole economy is unnatural. Manipulated too-low interest rates, Manipulated high oil price which serves to make Russia a ton of money (which is why they are horsing around in Eastern Europe) Insane housing prices in many markets. My house is close to a million.
      The free market has been corrupted. I can hardly wait to see what happens next.

    It makes more sense for my company to be fully remote. Software engineers do nothing but code, research, and are perfectly fine collaboration over remote. Even co-working spaces are available if needed. I think co-working space are going to become more popular for hybrid options as well.

      For tech companies I think it makes sense but the 3/4 day work week needs to be widespread enough to ensure companies can coordinate with each other

    I’m still unclear why we’re encouraging work. Isn’t the purpose of innovation and productivity to do more with less? Haven’t we had jobs moved abroad to where labour is cheapest? And now aren’t jobs being automated? If progress isn’t about being liberated from work, then what? Is it just meant to lead to more consumption? How much? It will be impossible to solve climate change at even a fraction of current consumption levels. The goal, in my opinion, should be to produce and consume less, leave the labour market and spend ones life building relationships, having experiences, helping others, and creating. The policy challenge is not more jobs, but secure/stable well being: homes, nutritious food, education, health in a zero-carbon context.

      You are correct. Yes, these jobs might be taken by people who are okay with low wages and no benefits because they might really need them, but in most cases, these people won’t be nearly as prepared or educated as those who know their worth. It’ll hurt the economy to have low quality employees.

    There is also a particular problem in California where Dr. Reich works: there is a health care penalty. Many employers do not provide health care, particularly for gig-workers, and health care premiums are extraordinarily expensive, close to 900/mo., more if you have a low deductible plan. The tax penalty can be over $3000 per year. So workers are caught between a rock and hard place, and many are simply paying the penalty and forgoing health care entirely. 1 month of health care is close to 5 months of food expense. There is something wrong with that equation. It's unsustainable.

That's the point, there are no laws regarding that for gig workers, so fewer gig workers are covered by health care from business.

    having done both , this will eventually be like the feudal times. The lords and ladies will work from home , the serfs and peasants will commute to work.. It will cause hatred and resentment.. That all being said , im never going back to a job where I physically have to be somewhere at a certain time. It saps the soul , and destroys quality of life completely.

    I've been working from home for the past 11 years with a one year stint of going to the office and another hybrid. Never again. If the company doesn't promote the position as remote only, I'm not applying. My position is a sit at your computer and do your work type job, which doesn't require in person anything. I still see jobs in my expertise area that have physical location requirements and laugh how clueless they are to the current economy. I love the flexibility and relaxing atmosphere of WFH, so that is something a company requiring in office work can never achieve.

    Im glad to hear the US is changing, the US is great as long as your not sick and work double shifts.
    I’m a Scandinavian myself. I’m used to 1 year paid maternity leave. If you get unemployed or fired you are entitled to 3 years of something called “back to work” payment from the government. That’s usually 60% of your last 3 months paycheck average not great, but it’s doable, you can keep your house, most banks freeze the down payments, as long as you pay interest etc.If you get sick, you have 1 year full salary, after that you either end up in this “ back to work” paid for by the government, or you get disability. Disability is not great but you get about 40K$ or year + any disability insurance you have been having. Healthcare is free, you need to pay a maximum of 300$ a year. If your medical bills exceeds that then it’s free.
    Childcare varies a bit depending on the sitting government, but all children have a right to 8-5 childcare right after the maternity leave ends. I think this last one is extremely valuable, think about 20 people watching over 50 kids, and then both the mother and father can work. That’s a no brainer for the GDP.
    Hope the US gets something similar, it’s important with safety nets. You are not creative when you worry.

      @@elvism684 Not really, I don't think we pay much more than americans, if you exclude the states with no income taxes.
      Edit: I googled and apparantley I would pay 24% if I lived in california, that's just 4% less than in Norway, but I get all those social benefits.

    I work from home since the pandemic and it has been an adaptation at the start but also such an improvement both for work and life as a parent. Any jobs that can be done from home should have the option to work from home if the employee wants it

    Everyone must ask themselves what benefits does work from office give that it actually outweighs the benefits of working from home. 😎😎😎 Besides when working from home, people can save lot of time which they unnecessarily spend on commuting to work and getting stuck in traffic etc. Also when we work from home, we get to spend time with our kids and rest of the family which we can't while working from an office. Hence work from home gives much better work life balance when compared to working from an office 😎😎😎

    I rather work from home because I save money on gas, lunch, and clothes. Plus I am not stuck in traffic.
    I was very productive when working at home. Then my employer mandated for me and my coworkers to go into the office.
    It's hard being in the office and have to deal with coworkers attitudes!!!

      Lol no we didn't. I was 14 when 9/11 happened and 22 when GFC happened. Those 2 events changed so much. The pandemic has been a wash out for all of us though. Every generation grows up with the same existential doom. Even Boomers had to deal with the very real threat of nuclear annihilation and the Vietnam War.

    Greatest thing about working from home these past two years is that I don't have to deal with the insane bs called LA traffic. I 'm very thankful to not have to spend an hour and a half each day commuting and risking my life dealing with insane people on the highway

    Ive worked in healthcare for 20+ years and I’m seeing a lot of what is being said here come to fruition recently. First, over the last month or so, patients and coworkers in my workplace are weary of what’s been happening the last 2 years and lots of people on edge and attitudes are really bad. Secondly, my company has just announced this past week they are changing the pay scales of most of the jobs in our company to, stop the bleeding as it were, of workers leaving and being unable to find new workers. A lot of us are seeing 5-10 percent increases in our base pay - I was quite surprised, but makes sense after listening to what these people are saying.

    I believe everything will innovate with changes. My work incorporated the hybrid work from home system, and we are still capable of working. If anything, it made most of us wonder why didn't we do this early on.
    We use MS Teams and other online methods of communication, so start-up Tech companies can blossom from this. The employees are saving time and gas from not having to commute and come into the office every day. Office space rent money can now be used on other things like hiring more employees and creating new jobs. It's a win-win for the employees, the environment, mental health/burnout, and unnecessary spending just for the sake of "going back to the office."

      The pandemic just gave everyone a huge break and chance to really think about the change and what might happen later. the reason this didnt happen sooner was cause some or many was just like stuck in a job mind set and didnt really wonder how things might be if was able do same stuff from home anytime. it was like a test u try and if it goes right then it happens maybe but if not then all just stayed the same. so pandemic was just a reality check as to what caused change for any reason.

    I work for an organization with about 250 employees and 5 or so different departments. My boss can’t stand everyone working from home. It’s driving him crazy. He goes into the office everyday, even though none of the other managers do. Right now we go in only one day a week and they stagger us. We’ll probably go back to two days in and that’s great to us, but he hates it!

    My Employer has embraced Work at home positions and in fact, had WFH positions available before the pandemic. Since our job is completely Computer and phone-based, It didn't take much to train us on a few additional remote work programs and send us home. Our Productivity level has even increased and Employee surveys have shown higher life-work balance and job satisfaction. It works so well in fact, that they are selling their sprawling office building and building a small new one closer to the city center. This space will have some office space for new hire classes and rooms for monthly team meetings but that is it.

    It's not just about millenials having a different set of values than our parents. Millenials are expected to work MORE hours for LESS pay.
    At least the previous generation could afford a decent lifestyle in exchange for being overworked. We can't even expect that. So we're changing the rules. 😎

    Software engineer at a start up here. I work at a job with amazing benefits, unlimited PTO, good pay, free lunch, chosen work hours, wfh or in office if I want, free Healthcare, stock options...etc. I genuinely like the work, I work extra sometimes because I actually find it fun. Our company is desperate for more people, the opportunities are out there!

    As far as my dad’s employer is concerned, working from home is a massive bonus for it. When people work from home, they don’t need to provide computers, air conditioning, office space, heating, or lighting, and they can pay the same amount and get similar amounts of work done. Even when people can’t work as well at home, the savings are huge. Once we adapt to this system and stop heating office blocks with no one in them, it’ll be a net benefit for most businesses.

    Mechanical engineer here. Working remotely is great but I can definitely see how the newer folks need to be at the office at a least a couple days a week for personal development.

      NEW people should always be at office for at least a YEAR, working from home is a responsibility and a privilege that you shouldn’t play or grant to New people that you don’t know how serious they are at the job.

      Even at mid-career, I do worry about remote affecting the promotional ladder. Will people who are on-premises more often get an intangible "bump", versus those who opt for more remote? Even in a fully-remote situation, will there be an edge to people who still are available during conventional hours (9-5, etc), versus those who work more naturally during early or late hours?
      There's also the concern specific to engineeers - they can get cheaper engineers abroad (not always same quality, but the higher-ups may not care).

    Remote work from home equates to a huge jump in salary because it saves on commute time and costs, and it can greatly reduce the corporate operating costs as they don't NEED so much office space. The key here will be the amount of physical documentation that HAS to be passed between staff.

      @@romeou4965 I agree, and it has, but there are still many documents that are required to be in physical form with signatures due to various laws, and some of those laws require the people acting on them to sight the actual original document with original signatures. Although those are getting fewer each year.

    I personally feel hybrid works best, being able to work from home some days to allow myself and easier day and eliminate commute really does wonders for my day, but I find myself getting bored easily so having he option to also work at the office some days and see my coworkers is a nice change. Being able to do both has worked amazingly for me, I see myself being more productive.

    I am Cuban, live in Havana, Cuba, am professional and know very well the Socialism-Communism theories which cause the fall of socialist system everywhere likewise led my country to ruinage.
    What my self-learned understood from you is, that The United States of American have arrived to right Socialist system. The pandemia has proved it. Now USA has to manage with the possible bad future effects of many of these policies, because of pandemia.
    My best regards and wishes of successes, from the bottom of my heart and my consciousness, like Israel did. I was there and saw the system. I saw the Socialism in Israel that we have not in Cuba.

    I was working remote and miserable with micromanager who wanted to zoom every second of my day and oftentimes not enough hours to get the work done after all these video calls… I quit! packed my bags and moved to Europe! i’m now working 5 days in office, but in a much more relax environment where my work is appreciated and work life balance is emphasized by my boss and peers! no regrets and hope i never look back at the US Job market!

    So thankful my job has embraced a fully remote model for my department. I am able to take care of my cats (one of which is elderly) keep my house clean, make sure I'm cooking at home everyday during the week. And I save so much on gas only having to fill up once a month. I am truly thankful

    We have 5-6 weeks of paid leave, paternity leave (for _both_ parents), 35 hour work week and yet still we're much more productive per capita then the US. Having happy people works.

    It's not the remote work that will be bad for the economy. Remote work is good as we're learning to be more productive. It's the inflation and having to hike interest rates with everything bubble that will hurt the economy.

    Work from home definitely does have it's benefits and it seems to make individuals much happier with more freedom and lack of commute time. My only issue with work from home are the ones where they don't have to be in the vicinity of their office, since this allows people to move from bigger areas, where their company could be located, to smaller ones now to save living costs. this ends up displacing residents in those smaller areas and even could price them out completely. Also because most WFH jobs retain salaries and jobs in different cities / states, it also doesn't truly support the local economies those people are living in.
    I'm well aware that WFH could make one person's life so much better, but it could also negatively affect hundreds of others at the same time.

    We no longer need to worry about food, so we can live freely without the worry like shelter, food, safety.
    We focus on the aspect of arts and philosophy, focus on exploration on the unknown. For the advancement of the human race.
    Nope…we have to work long hours so we will not DIE in the wealthiest country on the planet.

    I'm all for WFH, but I also worry: if your job can be done from your home, it can be done from another country, and companies have showed that they can outsource huge numbers of jobs for profit.

      @@powerhouse884 What more equipment is involved for 99% of these jobs other then a laptop loaded with whatever software the company uses? Maybe a company cell phone? That crap is all made over seas anyways, corporate puts in an order for a couple thousand laptops straight from the 3rd world source, and then starts handing them out to all the individuals over there who are more then pleased to take that $1.50 an hour home to their families.
      They're no doubt saving money by being able to shut down the huge central office building. Everyone's already paying for their own electric and internet at home, so corporate is saving huge on that.
      So gee what do you suppose the next step is that they could take to line their pockets even more?? Maybe start outsourcing jobs from the bottom of the talent bucket? Getting them up to speed overseas on the simpler parts of the everyday going-ons and then giving them a little more, and a little more, and a little more... Until all that is left State side is a the CEO and few of his cronies.

    It’s great WFH began when it did or I wouldn’t be able to support my son in his sport. Instead of working in the office, I work at different coffee places and wherever I need to take him. I still get what I need done done. People working at the office may not really be working all the time anyway.

    It drove me nuts when I had to call a teammate and they were at a time. Didn’t answer their call and then immediately emails me with “I see you call. What’s up?” Pick up the phone, I can’t email back and fourth when a simple call will suffice.

    Our company has gone hybrid 6+ years ago. Its profits kept increasing in double digits in the past two years while most workers WFH full time. All we want is to continue to work remotely (WFH) full-time post the pandemics. Spending 2-3 hours daily in commute is just a waste of time/energy/resources and is bad for the environment.
    If the government wants career women to start families/have babies, they should support them to work from home (if they can).

    It's nice to have a high paying job with the ability to work anywhere and buy multiple properties. Many can move to a place like Hawaii. Unfortunately for native Hawaiians they cannot afford to compete with people who can afford multiple properties. Native Hawaiians will continue to see rising home prices and may be pushed to live in their cars.

    Interested he mentioned the financial industry gobbling up talent, I work for a bank and had job security during the pandemic they paid me to stay home when it all started and even now after changing positions I can work hybrid. My company realized that if they forced ppl who did not need to see clients face to face to come in they would lose alot of ppl, maybe this is why the financial industry is gobbling up ppl.
    I think some companies are trying too hard to go back to normal (to soon honestly) and now that we know alot of jobs do not need to be in person it's an uphill battle for them.
    Edit: maybe I commented too early, it seems clear he has an issue with capitalism, therefore he hates the financial industry as it the epitome of capitalism. While I'm not a purponent of capitalism myself, what I can say is the financial industry will always be and that provides a level of security. I love the arts however it's not known for being secure one day you're in the next you're out. I've worked in alot of industries and if I stayed in them during Covid I would have been jobless. Just because it doesn't produce anything physical doesn't mean it shouldn't exist

    Just wait till these companies that are forced to wfh start hiring from other states. More competition gives the employer the advantage over you since they have a much greater talent pool to choose from. Expect pay to go down too. Now apply this worldwide where you start competing with workers from countries that don't pay as much. Pay going to drop and give companies more power

    Yes. At a physical office, half my time is small talk. While working from home, I’m able to focus on my task from start to finish.

    It’ll be about 50/50 I think given that about half of jobs can’t be done remotely and out of that half it’s fair to say half will accept some type of work from home. Which will honestly be a net positive for the economy and workers. The industries that depend on office workers being in office are more problems than benefits and between the increase in productivity and the money workers are saving will boost the economy.

    I am watching this from Denmark.
    I think it will benefit most people in the US if things change to be more like it is in the EU countries.
    Here is some of what I think would be good that we have.
    - 37 hour work weeks.
    - 5-6 weeks paid vacations. Plenty of bank holidays as well and they are paid as well.
    - Health insurance isn't an insurance, it it just universal access to health care. Cradle to grave and not something you need to even think about.
    - Sick days is sick days, not something that eats away vacations days. And they are paid.
    - Children sick days. The first day a child is sick is seen as a personal day, no questions asked or anything.
    - 1 year of maternity leave.
    - In some EU countries it is against the law for employers contact their workers outside of work hours. In others it is just not a thing.
    - Unions. The vast majority of people are organized so unions have real power, lots of what workers enjoy has been won through be unionized.
    - Social security systems that ensure no real poverty. Access to higher education is free in most EU countries, here in Denmark people are paid like$900 a month to study. This makes for overall high education levels which makes for a good economy and it also means social mobility is more real here, then income of parents doesn't influence who gets to study.
    Some of what we don't have:
    - Going bankrupt over health care costs.
    - Staying in a terrible job in order to have medical insurance for the family.
    - Work schedule changes without warning. It is against the rules.
    - Having to work two jobs to just survive. Even a McJob comes with decent pay and rights, as in all the things listed above.
    - Homelessness. While not completely unknown it is really not a thing, the exception can be people that choose to sort of live outside society and not take the aid being offered.

      Most of what I list is similar in all of the EU, meaning it works for 447 million people so is it the US is to big or not big enough?

      Also do remember I talk about the EU nations, not Europe which is more countries some of which are very different and not democratic.

    We have what around 1M homeless children in public schools. The child tax credit monthly was great for kids in poverty. Trust me anyone that is FOR child poverty is anti-future and not forward thinking.

    People work MORE HOURS from home than they do at work. They are willing to do OT every time they can.
    This is a no brainer.

    For myself (but I am now retired), I actually need the structure of the office. I think I have inattentive ADD. I had about 8 hours a week of "busy work" (basically data entry, filling out forms, etc) that I know I could do at home. But the assignments and customer care things, I'd really need the office........at home I would have difficulty staying focused. And I would really hate zoom meetings at home lol

    I really love how the pandemic's silver lining is this new hybrid way of working. The power to chose where to work has shifted back to employees, rejoice!
    - Too bad it's not the same for me. Housing in the Netherlands is so expensive that I can't afford 'office space' inside my home. I worked from my tiny kitchen table alongside my partner for close to two years. Glad I can go back into the office now! -

    I like how the interviewer lady keeps asking slanted questions in a way that implies the economy will collapse, meanwhile every company seems to have better productivity. I am picking up bias and attempts to paint remote as bad. Shame for any journalist to have that

    Since international leisure travel does not exist anymore, families are saving about $5000 per year per family by not traveling. That money goes a long ways.

    I've been applying for so many jobs and I don't get the job and supposedly there's a workers shortage.HR takes forever to communicate with you for example today I got an email from an employer I didn't get the job after applying 2 months ago.
    My new plan is keep selling on ebay and start a car wash mobile and truck wash mobile .I'm sure I will surpass what I would earn at a job in no time.Im done applying for jobs.

    THERE IS NO LABOR SHORTAGE! Their is a pay and benefit shortage. Companies do not want to pay competitive wages and benefits.
