- Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga - Flying warriors attack War Rig
Furiosa and the War Rig are chased by the Motorflyers. A motorcycle gang who use parachutes and paragliders to attack from the air while attached to bikes on the ground, they are led by the Octoboss, a bikie leader dressed in a flight suit and with a horned mask who rides a literal flying motorcycle. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
The demise of the Octoboss is very fitting. The warlord who modeled himself after a sea creature ends up being harpooned, reeled in and turned into chum.
I love the Octoboss introduction here because the camera doesn't even focus or pan to the ominous kite in the background for several shots until he's right there.
Hard agree, I remember watching it and seeing the kite thinking, the hell is that thing. Terrifying moment as it was closer every cutaway. Noticed it floating around Dementus' camp during the opening after my second watch too.
When that dude hopped on his skates, tethered to the back of the bike at like 25mph, and then deployed a parachute to elevate, I literally was laughing out loud in the theater. Only George Miller could conceive something like this and that's why he's the my favorite post-apocalyptic director bar none.
Edit: If Furiosa wasn't there, they took the war rig pretty easily. The Mortifiers are badass as all hell and Dementus screwed that up. He could've beaten Immortan Joe with them at his side, I believe.
Up until that point I had my regular Mad Max watching face on, mouth open with glaring eyes, and then when the guy got on the skates and went up with the parachute I just started grinning from ear to ear.
No one does visual storytelling like Miller. Brilliant
In the theater with the big screen and loud speakers this was such a great sequence and it just kept getting crazier and crazier. A lot has been cut here but at the time I felt like it was one of the best action sequences I’ve seen in a theatre
This is the most hard core supply chain scene ever
Just how our parents used to drive to school every day.
Ngl the bikers looks sick... Especially that they know that immortan joe's forces lack anti-air weapons & mostly used in fighting other ground vehicles ,so they deploy this parachutes & gliders
Yeah would be a real shame if they just targeted the bikers 5 feet away matching their speed 🙃
@@Leo-qv9bo they don't even have any guns. Only the driver is armed with a pistol & a SKS. .. unlike the bullet farmers warboys that are armed with a lot of rifles
@@khylebaguingan8211being a citizen of the bullet farm has its Perks.
@@Zane-It in Fury road all of the bullet farmers warboys are all armed with automatic rifles with extra ammo pouches.. Immortan Joes warboys are mostly using crossbow, javelins & ballistas as a range weapon
@@khylebaguingan8211 yup because the truck we saw was on a produce run before it fled. I would assume the load outs are different for war such as nux with the sawn off or slit with the tokrev during the chase.
This shots reminds me a lot to The road warrior
I wonder. If covid never happened would George miller been able or wanted to use more practical effects like fury road?
I feel some of the movie stunts are more cgi heavy by design, his old cinematographer retired and the new one didn't help. Like the hangglider was always going to be cgi it's too dangerous and difficult to film for non cgi effects.
@@queekheadtaker7327 it looks great right? But we have that whole question of "what if" lord only knows what furiosoa would have been like if covid didn't happen
@@azariah_kyras he also made a whole other film, also he had been trying have this film made since the 90s, so I figure he's glad it's made at all
El CGI esta potente
true question this kind of vehicle can really fly?
Didn't Hamas do something similar? LMAO
If you have a powerful enough motor in your fan yes
@@buddyshitposting1497 yes but lifting a motorcycle is still something else
@@lordnakaryu3284 I've seen a video where some guy was paragliding on a motorcycle.
@@lordnakaryu3284 Hasan Kaval did something similar
Why the war rig has excavator arms
Reply to me please
For defense, Octoboss kept intercepting the smaller rigs, so this newly built one was made with every sort of defense in mind.
As you see in the film, they're used to get in the way of bikers, to pick them up, and to even intercept one of the mortiflyers.
@@kevlopz3374it could also be used for moving materials on and off the trailer like those cabbages
But also if the rig gets stuck, the excavator can help get it out of the way
Is it universally agreed that praetorian's war rig is the coolest rig on the wasteland
@@RHYANJHAMESPIAMONTE yeah it is cool, did u know it was used to be a kenworth truck when they started filming
Yes Kenworth 900 series it is said on the vehicle featuree@@bigmariofan7
Bro, is this even real IMAX?
It was shot on the Arri Alexa 65, Red V-Raptor. It was made for imax
@@thefilmrookie3099 So, this film will have an IMAX Ratio, right?
@@FrancisMoyo-rb1kt Nope, my digital copy is in 2:40:1
October 7?
LMAO
What a dumb scene lmao, if they did that bommy knocker thing EARLIER it would’ve taken out way more bad guys.
They would have just driven around it. Most of them attack from the side in this scene.
The paramotor guys can ignore the bommy knocker, if bommy knocker was used earlier they would’ve just blew it up
@@ka-boom2083 they get on the truck there when everybody went to the front, if they had turned it on then, they couldn't have been attacked from behind

Jesus the CGI in these few shots just look terrible
It’s just the red cameras they were using. They have a unique way of blurring and distorting backgrounds that feels ‘otherworldly.
Yeah that's a bit of a problem in this movie. I think it's a great film over all but the effects can be so bad at times that it took me out of the movie completely
Right. In Fury Road it was better due to practical effects, but they couldn’t secure enough money for practical effects this time. Because fury road didn’t make a lot of money for investors
@@ka-boom2083 George Miller started out Mad Max on a simple budget, surely lightning could've struck twice with a small budget.
@@neoasura it could not. Mad Max 1 was 50 years ago. The movie industry then is different than now. Small budget films now and then are different.
not even close of mad max, road warrior
The physics of this scene are completely unreal. There's no way any of these thrown objects would move in completely straight lines at that speed. This was a poor attempt to replicate the glory of Fury Road.
Ok Sheldon.
"straight lines" okay sure
Relax it’s a movie
Actually they would be moving straight because of inertia
Ever heard of inertia?
this scene is horrible
visually everything looks fake
EVERYTHING
the desert, characters moving
the truck ( at least big parts of it)
most ppl
idk wtf this is but its rly not good to look at
nahhh, is the lighting and the cepia filter is not as noticeable as in fury road
also the sky, the sky in fury road was a sea green, in this one it is an intense light blue, not to mention the absence of clouds that we saw in the first movie.
@@justtocatta4479 the desert in this scene looks like a PS2 cutscene desert
It's actually that bad
Not the sky
The desert around
Stilk look better than godzilla x kong.
@@motor4X4kombat agreed
Still better than the flash, to me it's fine, it might have more cgi than fury road but still is less than the average action movies
Wow that looks significantly worse than fury road
The uggo playing furiosa doesn’t help one bit
