11:12. Excellent video as always Paul. Really enjoyed the night photography course in London. It was a pleasure to meet you and appreciate the knowledge and tips shared during the session. Looking forward to your next visit in the UK.
Follower in New Zealand. I miss London I just love that place. Really want to get back home to London. Thanks sharing some great photos of a great city
Absolutely with you on your love of the photo of the Memorial Wall and your reading of it. Glad you enjoyed your time back in London and thanks for yet another brilliant video.
I liked your old Battersea power station picture. But, equally, the new ones are as good and don't need to look the same as your old one. Great trip you had.
Hello, Paul! Happy to watch a new video from you! Very nice pictures and I have to admit you gave me few ideas about what I could do in my next close trip!
Hi Paul. It was great to see you & thank you for your patience with me !!. Great photos & I see a bit of symmetry on the underground😀. I was at LHR last weekend & have tried your suggestions, but not properly looked at the results yet ( will let you know ).
Glad you’re back home. I’ve missed your regular serving of videos. We love London. I was with the US Air Force in Oxfordshire for 4 years and we loved trips to London.
I enjoyed the views of Westminster, the Thames and the old Victorian lamps. I have taken some of those same shots myself, when I lived there. Incidentally, Big Ben is the name of the bell inside the tower, not the tower itself. The tower itself, was renamed the Elizabeth Tower some years ago in honour of the late Queen. There is a nice statue of Queen Boudica across the road from the Houses of Parliament, beside some steps leading down to the Thames. It makes for a nice photograph. Captain Blyth, ( of Mutiny on the Bounty fame), is also buried just behind Parliament. I also liked the statues of Cromwell, Richard the Lion Heart and Churchill around Parliament. Westminster Hall is beautiful, the hammer beam roof is the largest in Europe and is very impressive, well worth a visit. In medieval times the courts were held here. So many wonderful places to visit in London, I'm feeling quite nostalgic now. Picadilly Circus has the iconic statue of Eros and there is a small statue of Charlie Chaplin in Liecester Square. I love the bridges over the Thames but I think Hammersmith bridge, lit up at night, is my favourite. Your video brought back a lot of pleasant memories. Many thanks.
You are spot on, there are so many places and things to see... there is never enough time. I appreciate the great feedback and support Steven, thank you kindly.
Wow, love the images Paul, thank you for sharing. Certainly looks like an amazing place. I too love the image with the girl in front of the wall of hearts, just beautiful.
Thank you so much Barry, I’m glad you enjoyed the image selection. I took many more and it took me some time to choose which ones to feature in the video, I’m really happy with the end result. Best wishes to you.
Awesome candid photos and videos Paul. I've never been to London, but from watching this video, I know I would truly enjoy it. It looks like an amazing place to visit. Thanks for sharing all your insights as always.😀
Hi Paul Thank you so much for you vedio, you brought me back lovely memories of London specially Vauxhall as I worked there for years when I lived in the UK.
I would definitely love to see a tutorial on how to take several shots and putting them together. The details in the clock are amazing. I think it makes the shot perfect.
Hi Paul, I got goose bumps when you spoke about the painted Hearts on the wall, very touching. I enjoyed watching your great photos like the Purple London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben. Also I liked the Panorama photo and the light trails, wow those colours really popped. Thanks for taking the ice skating picture you don't see much skating and it was refreshing to see something different and beautiful. Thanks Paul for sharing your photos from London. 🇬🇧💂😊
Enjoyed all the photos. While I have visited Germany and Switzerland many, many times, I have never been to the UK. I will definitely come back to this video for reference when I eventually get to London. Thanks for sharing.
Excellente vidéo ! Très heureux d’avoir fait cette balade londonienne en votre compagnie. Vos photographies sont superbes et très inspirantes. Bravo ! Je m’abonne à votre chaîne 👍
thank you Paul for explaining the big ben face overexposition ;) I remember sending you message about it just after you arrived in London ;) would be great if you do small separate video about multiple exposures and their blending in one photo ;)
Great photos Paul and I love how you tell us the story as well as weave a number of comments related to technique and approach. Each of these could probably be the subject of its own video (leading eye, motion blur to minimize/eliminate people, the bus lights but no bus seen, impacts of lighting etc.). The one I know I could use the most help on is the clockface (or moon or other bright object) as shot 1 and properly exposed and the shot 2 to expose the rest properly: I think I understand the theory but not sure how to execute it in the camera. The woman against the hearts and the shadows is really kind of eerie. I can imagine the life size on a wall. Also, on the street photography: do you have a starting point set of settings for nights... Your shots seem to vary quite a bit on shutter speed. Thanks!! Steve
Great photos Paul. As usual a very informative video. I would like to see a tutorial on the way you achieved the detail in the image of the Big Ben clock face and houses of parliament. The photo of rhe memorial wall is amazing. I really like it.
Enjoyed your video, brought back memories of my last visit to London 2019. Would be interested in a Video of the technique you used to layer the clock face.
Lovely to see your photos of London, I lived there fore so long, but would never want to go back. The underground was terrible and the way tall buildings have taken over the city means you do have to look for your subjects a bit harder.
Hi Paul, really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot since I started watching them. I don't know if I missed a video on the metering modes on an entry level dslr but if you haven't done one I would greatly appreciate one Thanks Jeff
I live in UK and manage to visit London every couple of months. I love your photos, particulaly in such low light. I shoot wildlife with the Z9 but recently picked up a used Z6 as my travel camera with the 24-120 F4. I’d be interested to know what lens you used.
Thanks for the feedback Geoff. The two Nikon lenses I travelled with were the Z 24-70 f4 S and Z 14-30mm f4 S. You can pause the video to see a description of the camera settings as well as which camera and lens combination was used for every image. Best wishes.
Just stumbled across your channel and I am glad I did, you have very similar ideas to my own, anyway I will watch the rest of this video and have a browse of your channel, keep it coming like it a lot. A fellow Queenslander 👍👍👍
Great video and fab photos. I'm looking to upgrade my Canon Eos 1200D to a new Canon. What do you suggest for an intermediate - sports (rugby) and landscape photography?
Fanastic video Paul, just need to correct you. That second bridge with all the lights is Albert Bridge not Chelsea Bridge. Chelsea Bridge was the one you was walking on First. Thanks
That new image of battersea power station, the old one had the sunrise, but the new one has back-lit clouds, and all the futuristic illuminations. If anything, i think it's good that you got wildly different conditions, if it was the same it'd be boring. Instead you got two images that are technically the same, but so different. I liked the portrait shots of vendors and soho streets, I love that whole "low down" perspective, especially with lit/ mirrored in puddles. You should do a video on that.
Great shots 👍👍 I wish I could do that but I had to put my camera in pawn and won't be able to get it out. I'm on fixed income and can't afford another camera 😦😦
No you would NOT use the delete tool to reveal the clock face. You would create a mask for non-destructive correction. You might take three shots and then blend all three images for even a better image.
Great photos! That building with the big clock thingy is awesome. I really like your night cityscapes. I think they're your strong point. The street vendor photos were book-worthy. Trump 2024!
11:12. Excellent video as always Paul. Really enjoyed the night photography course in London. It was a pleasure to meet you and appreciate the knowledge and tips shared during the session. Looking forward to your next visit in the UK.
Thank you, it was a pleasure to spend time with you... I can't wait to return 🙂
A great video .. thank you ... this should be an excellent addition to my upcoming London photography tour.
LOVE all the photos, Paul! I especially loved the memorial wall with both its visual of what you see and don't see with the shadows.
Follower in New Zealand. I miss London I just love that place. Really want to get back home to London. Thanks sharing some great photos of a great city
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video and I'm age selection. Love NZ and hope to get back there sometime soon.
Hi Paul. Thank you. I really enjoyed viewing the photographes in these images.
Absolutely with you on your love of the photo of the Memorial Wall and your reading of it. Glad you enjoyed your time back in London and thanks for yet another brilliant video.
Paul great video and pics. Learnt a lot from the walk and it has given me different ways of looking at things and how to shoot with confidence.
Thank you so much, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you.
Love the shot of memorial wall the composition of the girl with the shadows is so captivating
Great photos Paul. I just find there is so much inspiration shooting in Europe with the amazing streetscapes, buildings, monuments and the vibe there.
Love the image at 04:03
I liked your old Battersea power station picture. But, equally, the new ones are as good and don't need to look the same as your old one. Great trip you had.
Wonderful shots. I live in Hobart & do night street shots, however, nothing compares to London. Not been back home for years but working on it.😊
Another great video Paul . Thanks for the great images. The " How To Fix " is also invaluable.
Glad you enjoyed it

Hi Paul. It was great to see you & thank you for your patience with me !!. Great photos & I see a bit of symmetry on the underground😀. I was at LHR last weekend & have tried your suggestions, but not properly looked at the results yet ( will let you know ).
Beautiful! I live in London but those pic made even more beautiful now I will get my camera and go to those spots 😊
You should and I hope you get some great shots. Thanks for watching.
Glad you’re back home. I’ve missed your regular serving of videos. We love London. I was with the US Air Force in Oxfordshire for 4 years and we loved trips to London.
Thank you John. It's taken me a couple of weeks to get this video together and catch up.... normal service resuming 🤣

Wow Paul! It was like a walk through the London Streets. Thankyou
Loved the memorial wall especially as you captured life against such a sad time in modern history 😢
Thank you for the feedback 🙂 Walking along memorial wall and reading the names and messages is heartbreaking.
I'm so sorry I wasn't able to catch you in London! If you ever come to the US, I AM IN! Thanks, Paul! 📷
Next time maybe 🇺🇸 🇦🇺 😃

I will be putting together a PS tutorial in the near future, thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for great video. Can you explain a bit more how to have big Ben clock exposed correctly

The photo of rhe memorial wall is amazing. I really like it.
I love the photos! Please come to Florida :) Or show your classes online :)
Thank's Paul
Just a question,is It posible to use a trípode in London?
Absolutely, I had not issues with using a tripod.
Enjoyed your video, brought back memories of my last visit to London 2019. Would be interested in a Video of the technique you used to layer the clock face.
Thanks Richard, I will put together a tutorial video for layering images in the near future.

I had the Nikon d3400

G'day Paul, Love the pics mate, especially the Memorial Wall and the one of Big Ben at night

Spot on Kevin... I get my bridge names mixed up!! 😀

Great shots 👍👍 I wish I could do that but I had to put my camera in pawn and won't be able to get it out. I'm on fixed income and can't afford another camera 😦😦
Looks like you had a great trip to London. Sad that I couldn't make any of your sessions. Maybe catch you in Brisbane sometime.
Maybe one day! Brisbane in the sunshine or maybe London in the rain 🤣
@@photogenius I would prefer Brisbane, I am due a return visit. 😎😎
What program to put the cannon power shotsx540 on for birthday party
No you would NOT use the delete tool to reveal the clock face. You would create a mask for non-destructive correction. You might take three shots and then blend all three images for even a better image.
That Covid memorial wall photo is a cracker Paul, well done! Once you provided some context it just made it so more poignant. Good work.
Great Video and pictures. The bridge you shot was actually Albert Bridge ( not Chelsea ) Easy mistake to make.
The Z6 does not have ISO of 64 (seen at 4:55) but the Z7 does.
Hi Paul, loved the shots, are actually British then?
I tried to enter the competition but after submitting the form just reset.
Hi Patrick, I just checked and your entry was received. Good luck!
Being a pedant I have to point out that "Big Ben" is the name of the largest bell within the tower, the tower itself is called "Elizabeth tower"
Great photos! That building with the big clock thingy is awesome. I really like your night cityscapes. I think they're your strong point. The street vendor photos were book-worthy.

Thank you very much 😀
