Rammstein is legendary..they are more than just another rock band...Till Lindemann isn't just another singer. He is an artist..a poet..a lyrical genius .. Christian "Flake" Lorenz (keyboardist) said.“Till radiates complete authority in my eyes" “When he sings or says something, you realize that he also means it. That makes the whole song a lot more precious. Especially since there are singers who say or sing just about anything because it sounds good. With Till, you know that he means it.”
They're metal and yes they're legendary.
I don't know what it is that Rammstein have, but when on stage, there's that what ever it is, that throws out exuberant power that never fails to suck us in and take us along for the ride. And there's another ingredient that I can't name, that has us needing more. Well, they get me like that anyway. Anyone remember Genesis? The band, not the book. And when Peter Gabriel war fronting them, nobody knew what he would be waring until he got on stage? I think Till is, to some degree, a bit like that. But not se extreme. His outfits/ costumes differ from set to set. It thrills me no end to see you're excursion through the Rammstein live archives is bring you thrills, and joy.

Really enjoy your reactions. Also you noticed that little "bear hug" kinda thing Till did, pulling the microphone towards him early on in the video. For some reason I find that move absolutely adorable! Very few reactors seem to notice it; Xsezz and you are some of the few. It's a silly thing to get hooked on, but there ya have it :D
It's Rock & Roll, Rammstein- Ramm stone Ramm-lied- Ramm Song I don't speak Germain, but I did a little research. The music reminds me of Detroit style rock back in the day only on steroids. I have been rocking my whole long life and these guy's have punch.
I agree with you that watching live performances is usually the best. Mein Hertz Brennt is a notable exception. Both versions of the song ( band and piano)are much more interesting if you watch the official videos.

I can't help, everytime when I hear this song, parts ot it reminds me to some in Germany popular songs from the eighties. But as often, I do not recognize a specific one.
Laibach- Geburt einer Nation? I think you can find Information in the Internet where you can read that till was inspired by this song for rammlied. And Laibach covered that song for the queens.
