One of the best comeback albums ever. I thought they were gone for good, then BAM! They bust back on the scene with this killer album like they never went anywhere. This is the spiritual successor to Cleansing.
Met Tommy Victor once...my buddy gave him a ride home from 1st Ave in Mpls. after a show days before Prong played with Pantera so he got us backstage after the show and was COOL AS HELL! Backstage I drank off Dimebag's Special Ex and talked music (he said his favorite band was King's X). Sang Misfits songs with Phil Anselmo while we were both drunk as hell! Sepultura was suppposed to be playing also but called in sick (LAME!) Good Times!
Prong unlike metallica (who I am a fan of also) never had downtime albums, they never benched it. Every album gets better and better in my opinion, and never softer but always hardcore in a musical way. Not many can pull that off, very few. Nobody can best Prong at this kind of music
Can't believe I just discovered them recently, better then never. Just became one of my favourite metal bands up there with Fear Factory, SYL, Ministry and Godflesh
I saw these guys open up for Fear Factory. Didn't know any of their songs at the time, but they got my interest. I was also right in front of the guitarist during the show!
Just saw them in Santa Ana, Ca 10/1 (unfortunately 4 the 1st time) . This band thru it's lineup changes has hung in there and was nothing short of KILLER! They have an amazing ability to get a floor bouncing. GROOVIN' ASS MOFO'S- much luv n respect to these guys!!!!
Sounds like my teenage years. Smoked up, went to and played in lots of rock shows, and shot numerous hoops and the busted basketball courts of my hometown! Sounded like an awesome night.
Yes, Prong never realliy got their due. Probably because they started around the time grunge was taking off and sort of got lost in the mix. However, they are one of the greatest thrash bands of all time, no doubt.
I'm going to need another trip to my chiropractor after watching this. You rock for posting all this Prong stuff. This album is probably my favorite of theirs. This is one of those rare records that I probably would've payed $100 for. You can't put a price on what some music does for you. I can't believe MTV played this. Thanks for the post.
Fucking awesome!!! I was pissed when there was no HBB on at midnight!!! I rarely watch it, but I was wanting to see this video! THANX for posting, Prong fucking rules.
@warjunky444 Prong were hardcore then thrash long before they ever played Industrial. Although I'm a hardcore/thrash fan I do think Cleansing is one awesome album. Back in 1990 I went to see them in Dublin, Ireland and shouted "Lost in a crowd" into the mic as I ran past Tommy Victor during Lost and Found then jumped into the crowd. He beckoned me back up onto the stage and let me sing part of the song in Mike Kirkland's mic before kicking me in the ass back into the crowd
He just needs to play a Gibson flying V with a single EMG81 in the bridge ! There is definitely a lot in common between the 2 bands, like the low tunings and the fact the fact that they do not sell out.
Awesome! With POTD Prong have released one of the best metal albums in years. The (metal loving!) world needs bands like Prong (& Machine Head,i'm a big fan) who just make the music they want to, setting rather than following trends.Every metal fan needs to listen to Prong, check out Rude awakening, Cleansing & Beg To Differ CDs if you like Power Of The Damager.
Yeah, didn't think of that. And no complaining about your taste of music, mine ranges from Burzum to Pekka Pohjola (Finnish jazz bassist/pianist and one of the greatest composers ever to live)
19/20 years ago, Prong was involved in a tour bus accident that could've very well killed the entire band. Tommy recounts them continuing the tour with his mangled left hand soaking the strings with blood over the next few shows. Talk about doing it for the fans. You don't normally hear about that kind of dedication nowadays.
Been listening to these guys since their start. They fucking took heads then, and they still fucking do. As real as metal gets. Oh yeah, a quick p.s.a. Disco STILL AND WILL ALWAYS SUCK!!!! Thank you
as a matter of fact Machine Head copied the squeeling and pinched harmonics on guitar from Prong. dont get me wrong Machine Head is awesome killer too!
prong are probs my fave band of all time. loved em when they released beg to differ, and damager is their best album since cleansing. pure kick arse stuff, still think ted parsons is the king behind the drum kit tho. current drummer is good but parsons is the master
@dethbed77 agree, that's why Prong never broke through into the mainstream like Pantera did. Phil could scream and sing; tommy couldn't. shame, because 'Cleansing' went on to be such an influential record.
Hey NorthStar he sinky101 should change it to stinky101! He's probably not only a poser but someone who gains enjoyment by trying to bring others DOWN! I love Prong, and also Helmet and Kyuss. All the great bands from the early and mid 90s are less known than Big Foot.
You get points for originality too... and Prong influenced the genre. Who's better, Slayer or a band who sounds exactly like Slayer but is a little more talented? Creating your own sound is more important than anything else.
amen to that,,, reach back to the peel sessions... even death metal doesnt school these guys,, a 3 piece that used to have metallica play at their club... PRONG are the godfathers of thrash metal,, megadeth owes it to then as well as exodus,,, Slayer didnt need any help but i bet Prong knows those guys well,,, thrash on
@JaymieStone yeah true, but my problem with this record is that it doesn't sound particularly raw either. it's just badly produced. each to their own, but i hope the next record sounds better.
@MinnesotaNorthStar Easy now. Don't drag Type O into this. Both bands grew out of the old NYHC scene, and both wail supreme ass. Bash away on Poison, though. I'll even help you.
The album brings me back. Been into Prong since Beg to Difer. MTV sucks, they just have to throw a thousand stupid fucking adds while the video plays. It really takes away from the vid.
One of the best comeback albums ever. I thought they were gone for good, then BAM! They bust back on the scene with this killer album like they never went anywhere. This is the spiritual successor to Cleansing.
Hell Yeahhh!!!
I'm glad I found ur Comment. Many youngsters don't know

...amazing song...amazing band..Prong is the most underrated band in Metal history... Prong forever ¡¡¡
Can't believe I just discovered them recently, better then never. Just became one of my favourite metal bands up there with Fear Factory, SYL, Ministry and Godflesh
Prong´s guitarr riffs are incredibly good. This is raw pure metal, and they still sound fresh. I beg to differ...
Hope Prong comes out with a new album like this! The whole record is epic!
Wow...I used to love prong back in the early-mid 90's...this latest album really kills! Long live Prong !!
One of my favorite songs from Prong. You can hear industrial and punk influences along with the great riffs from Tommy.
This album is amazing. Check out the new Prong CD now. Power of the Damager!
Prong have a great sense of rhythm that doesn't throw in a million notes going in one ear and out the other.New metal bands take note!
I saw these guys open up for Fear Factory. Didn't know any of their songs at the time, but they got my interest. I was also right in front of the guitarist during the show!
whoa holy shit! Prong on MTV 2! my eyes are bleeding!
Aaron Rossi's drum fill at 1:48 is so sick!
Now that's real metal.
This is the best album since Beg to Differ in that there are no throw away songs. Great stuff!
Sounds like my teenage years. Smoked up, went to and played in lots of rock shows, and shot numerous hoops and the busted basketball courts of my hometown! Sounded like an awesome night.
indeed ... there will be no album like CLEANSING again in the History of Music ....
This song is so relevant for todays world corruption!! Can you feel it, anger on the rise!!
this is real music
Prong spits out another classic!
They still got it !
Best riffs ever!!
prong 4 life
the good days I miss them too much
Prong Of Power.......!!!!!!!!!
Fave song fave album
killer-riffs and great songs: Power of the Damager album is fuckin incredible!
Yes, Prong never realliy got their due. Probably because they started around the time grunge was taking off and sort of got lost in the mix. However, they are one of the greatest thrash bands of all time, no doubt.
sick havent heard these dudes in a while...i love the riff and the pinch harmonics

Monty Pitman plays with Madona now a days.
PURE ENERGY
These guys are considered to be true metal! I friggin' love them. Prongs is the shiz nit!
Fucking awesome!!!
I was pissed when there was no HBB on at midnight!!! I rarely watch it, but I was wanting to see this video!
THANX for posting, Prong fucking rules.
I totally agree. Power of the Damager is best groove Metal album since Machine Head - The More Things Change, in my opinion.
one of my favorite recently released albums!!!
I'm glad to find that in a world where heavy music is slowly becoming obsolete and predictable, that Prong STILL kicks ass across the fuckin floor.
ive loved this bands for years ive have given some broken noses to the mighty !!MOSH PIT!!
Tommy ❤one of the best
Such a killer band!!! 🤘
@warjunky444

killer fucking track
what about " Burn My Eyes" or Cavalera Conspiracys Inflikted or Chimaira's The Impossibilty of Reason?
Another Hypo Luxa-produced classic
Just as good as the old shit IMO
Awesome concentrated pure POWER I love em
good ol' Prong
Holy shit MTV2 used to play music...
He just needs to play a Gibson flying V with a single EMG81 in the bridge ! There is definitely a lot in common between the 2 bands, like the low tunings and the fact the fact that they do not sell out.
Tommy Victor looks like Rob Flynn in this video! Lol...

if they can .. but that doesnt mean i wont talk .. fear cannot shut mmy mind ..
if you can do that, that would be really awesome of you.
i love this band it isn't like other ones that with this rythem they'll scream i hate that
Although they were in the forefront of the Industrial movement in the 90s.
@dethbed77 agree, that's why Prong never broke through into the mainstream like Pantera did. Phil could scream and sing; tommy couldn't. shame, because 'Cleansing' went on to be such an influential record.
fuckin prong
bad ass riff

Fuck yeah they're great, too! ;)
TOTALLY FUCKING ROCKS!!!
@warjunky444 True, but where do you see the hardcore here ?
it's more liek groove metal
Fair enough.
dig more is to must
does anybody know the guitar tab for this song?
You get points for originality too... and Prong influenced the genre. Who's better, Slayer or a band who sounds exactly like Slayer but is a little more talented? Creating your own sound is more important than anything else.

Is anywhere this vid without those fucking MTV popouts?

@MinnesotaNorthStar Easy now. Don't drag Type O into this. Both bands grew out of the old NYHC scene, and both wail supreme ass. Bash away on Poison, though. I'll even help you.
Yeah Demon Hunter really destroyed one of their signature songs beyond recognition!
prong? they put PRONG on mtv?
wow, did the producer wake up on the wrong side of the bed?
prong is the shit
The album brings me back. Been into Prong since Beg to Difer.
MTV sucks, they just have to throw a thousand stupid fucking adds while the video plays. It really takes away from the vid.
Well, at least MTV2 did. I guess thats saying alot considering it doesn't even really offer shit these days. At least on this coast.
