- A 4K HDR sample of the battle where Darth Vader wipes out Phoenix Squadron, as seen in the remastered Star Wars: Rebels Extended film Cut - "Relics of the Republic". Please note that the scene has been trimmed a little bit exclusively for this youtube upload, and the full version of the scene remains intact in the actual edit.
13 film cuts, 21 solo episodes, covering every episode of the show (including the 4 shorts) all upscaled and color graded into full 4K HDR for the first time ever. Now you can watch Rebels in a more theatrical way, just like my prior Clone Wars Arc edits. While not every single episode could be easily edited into a feature film, all of the most important arcs have been recut to flow as seamless films, giving the Star Wars television canon just a bit more of that epic theatrical feel, and making the video look as good as we possibly can for modern up to date HDR capable screens.
For best results, please watch these trailers on a 4K HDR capable screen using either your TV's youtube app, or your 4K HDR capable monitor's Edge or Chrome browser youtube URL. HDR capable smartphones and tablets should also display the proper colors at any resolution.

Huh you know I just realized we rarely if ever see Vader fighting space battles as a pilot. Cool to see he hasn't lost his touch.
I’m pretty sure he does it in the comics a few times and in ANH, one time he blew up a Star destroyer when the captain failed to complete a mission so he just flew over them in his tie fighter and shot it to pieces😂

@@THENemesisXX99 I don’t think vader was originally planned to be a great pilot since that was for anakin and in a new hope anakin and vader weren’t the same person but instead vader killed anakin. So maybe that’s why we don’t see a lot of vader flying in the OT and even in rebels he only has one scene but it’s perfect in showing how good he is

@@THENemesisXX99 vader hardly shows up in any content after the prequels and if he is he gets little exposure so they can continue to shove vader in random places briefly so he’s not over saturated, if he had a couple more space battle fights I wouldn’t mind but then the presence of vader would be reduced

I like Vader's 'angry' mask appearance in this show. It seems to reference the early concept designs from Ralph McQuarrie where Vader's mask was very skull-like and menacing.
I Hope that Dave Filoni made more cute Vader Mask from new Hope to return of Jedi making Rebels season five After he did It in clone Wars season Seven and Bad Batch
I think the entire art style of the show is said to be inspired off the original concept art

I think pilots are just comfortable seeing where they're going.
I like to think that the reason why they keep the engines going while in space is because they don't want to waste valuable time in battle just to turn it back on when turning.
Vader binge watched Babylon 5 and thought "Wait... I bet I could do that thing the Starfuries do!"
They made it pretty clear in this episode that Vader was at the peak of his powers.

I never watched this show, but they did a remarkable job of making something that “feels” like Star Wars….moreso than any movie I’ve seen since the original trilogy.
As someone who did watch, they totally did him justice. I'm watching this at 18 6 years after it first aired and still getting chills

It's sad how she had so much faith in Anakin and his goodness and he utterly failed to repay that faith.
When Ahsoka sees Vader coming straight for the command ship, before they got on the Ghost, I bet she was thinking “Damm thats something Anakin would have done!”………. Oh was she in for a surprise about 3 minutes later 😂😂
Whether he’s Anakin or Vader, spinning will always be a good trick to him.

The tie fighter was originally designed after the clone wars based on the feedback of jedi collected during the war.
Being able to use the force, extra electronics were considered cumbersome.
The large open dome front allowing the piolet great view to take advantage of a force sensitives more acute sight.
Less armor and heavy shealing equipment to in favor of agility to match a jedi's reflexes,
And finally the front mounted twin linked heavy blaster instead of the rapid multi-blasters on the wings,
while doing less damage over time, delivers a quick and accurate knockout punch instead of a quick spray-n-pray favoring a force users patience and fine twitch control.
The X-wings and ol' A-wings have a lot of advantages and independence over the Tie, a lot of features that make the fighter a forgiving craft compared the high skill ceiling of the Tie. The Empire requires a large academy to train just mediocre tie piolets that have to massed to be effective screens.
But in the hands of a powerful force user this craft was earmarked and tailor built for, well we saw the results.
Vader made every Fighter 100% deadly.
Hera is one of the greatest pilots shown in star wars. It makes sense she can keep up with vader i dont known why people are surprised.

@@valentinlageot4101 in all fairness, Vader hardly does anything aerial himself anymore. If he visits you, it's personal. Filoni pieced it together perfectly: she may be the 3rd best pilot in this timeline (Vader 1st, the TIE Defender dude 2nd; Wedge isn't in his prime yet, so I have him under Hera). Hera, however is also shown as a good tactician. Where she fall short as a pilot she makes up for others' incompetence (this one example, also basically pulling said same maneuver on Defender guy)
@@ajdominguez1002 I doubt the defender guy was teh best but to be fair most TIE fighter pilot are heathen gods, the problem is in their starships whoc can't take a beating unlike the X wings, TIE fighter pilots might have teh biggest balls of the gaalxy for sitting in a non shielded basicaly Hexagonal shape sized target and still get some kills. if teh TIE's were shielded imagien the menace they would be. but i'm just guessing here
Hera is a good pilot as shown and told in the series, but it's Anakin. only human who won a podrace (if you only look at the TV stuff not the comics).
Vader in teh series was shown to be out of league of our protagonist andneven ahsoka was killed by him (until filoni pulled a time travel t saver his waifu).
the point is that nobody can kill or harm vader, we can only make him switch side and it's not through violence and pai that you convince him but through love, Luke SKywalker was the only one to truly defeat vader because of the love taht they shared for one another.
Remember. Anakin/Darth Vader was a gifted pilot when he was a young boy. He won a pod racing in order to win his freedom and He destroyed the enemy's capital ship alone.

Vader in the legends canon spends time fixing and upgrading his personal ship. I like to think canon Vader does the same thing and trains his pilot skills

Hera is a good pilot but anakin is a great pilot
I think this episode predicted rise of Skywalker and star wars resistence season three where Ahsoka, while She hears the voice of Anakin, Yoda, Luke, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan, Luminara Unduli, Adi Gallia and Aayla Secura to help Rey to kills Palpatine during the Battle of Exegol, use her Force Spirit(that Luke used It in Last Jedi) in the form when She was 32 years Old to join to them and Is that because the Force Awakens was her 70th birthday. That was the same thing where Anakin attacked Jun Sato and Phoenix Squadron like an wild Animal. Kaz realize that Anakin almost kills his great-uncle Jun but two years later, Thrawn kills Jun Sato at Atollon and Fortunatly Eleven years later, Ben kills Thrawn. Kaz was Happy that Ben killed Thrawn the Murderer of his great-uncle Jun. That was the same thing. The same Deja vu. A true prediction.

@Enjeru_blizzardjira 3 Cruisers, a squad of well trained (they are well renowned)pilots, Hera in the ghost (her Probably being in the top 10 pilots), a Mandalorian, jedi and trained warrior on guns yet vader doesn't so much as get scratched. I ain't here Denouncing his skill but it's definitely a scene made for the sole purpose of vader fan service.
@@lukemarriott306 remember that Vader is a highly skilled war veteran and the most powerful force user in the galaxy, so him escaping damage this time, especially given how he improves his skills over the years, makes sense.
