I bet you never dreamed the weed eaters and jets would be the background noise! Good video. Thank you for your time.
BTW, there are TH-cam videos on how to organize your tools.😂😂

That's better than our usually background noise being in Jackson, MS.... car alarms, neighbors yelling, drive by shooting right next door and the owner laughing when we didn't flinch.
Yes, the truck is going through some reorganization. Used to have a "general" tool box that stood up and faced the door with pull out drawers. But several years of use wore down the locks and the drawers kept opening up while driving and slap our door glass when turning. So we have been switching out to Dewalt toughsystem.

I'm heading to Pick'n Pull next week to get some parts for my Tahoe which got damaged by a fire. The vertical trim piece between the quarter window and the hatchback (applique panel?) got melted.
I'll need to remove the quarter window to install the new Applique panel. Is it possible to remove the quarter window without breaking it? any tips?

Yes, the glass can be removed without breaking it. However, that plastic trim "exterior D pillar" (applique panel) is removable without taking the glass out. Unless you are talking about the rubber encapsulation on the glass... if so, the encapsulation is part of the glass and cannot be replaced (buy new glass). But to answer your question, yes, the glass can be removed. I recommend contacting several auto glass shops in your area, explaining the situation, and getting a quote from them. I like to use the "Spider 3" from WRD to remove the glass (piano wire technique), cuts the glass out nicely without damage to your vehicle or the glass. If you use blades, use them from the inside, remove the trim, and tape the glass to prevent scratches. Piano wire technique is recommended over blades.

@@MetroGlassLLC Thanks, that helps. I think I'll just buy a new quarter glass from the Glass shop I normally use and Get the new Hatchback glass and applique panel from the junkyard. Thanks again.

Junk yards will sell you a quarter glass cheaper than buying a new glass, just trim the old Urethane off using a razor blade and clean the glass. Most yards have the ability to remove the glass using heat or an extractor.

About how much does this cost?

The cost varies based on the year/make/model of the vehicle. Most auto glass websites will give you a quote for free. You can request a quote from us by visiting quote.metroglass-llc.com
