요한 1서 5장
5:1 예수께서 그리스도이심을 믿는 자마다 하나님에게서 난 자라, 하나님께로부터 나신 그리스도를 사랑하는 자마다 또한 그에게서 난 자를 사랑하도다.
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is
begotten of him.

5:2 우리가 하나님을 사랑하고 그의 명령들을 지킴으로써 하나님의 자녀들을 사랑한다는 것을 아느니라.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
5:3 우리가 그분의 계명들을 지키는 것이 하나님을 사랑하는 것이니 그의 명령들은 무겁지 않도다.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
5:4 무엇이든 하나님께로부터 난 것은 세상을 이기기 때문이니, 세상을 이기는 그 승리 는 곧 우리의 믿음이라.
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

5:5 예수께서 하나님의 아들이신 것을 믿는 자가 아니면, 세상을 이기는 자가 누구인가?
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (관련) 고전 15:57
5:6 그는 물과 피로 오셨으니, 바로 예수 그리스도시며 물로써만 오신 것이 아니라 물과 피로 오셨고 그것을 증거 하시는 분은 성령이시니, 그 성령께서는 진리이시기 때문이라. This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
5:7 참으로 하늘에서 증언하시는 이가 세 분 계시니, 아버지와 말씀과 성령님이시라. 그리고 이 세분은 한 분이시라.
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

5:8 땅에서 증거 하시는 세 분이 계시니, 성령과 물과 피라, 이 세 증거들은 하나로 일 치하시도다.
And there are three that bear witness in earth, t he Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
5:9 만일 우리가 사람들의 증거를 받아드리면, 하나님의 증언은 더욱 크도다. 이는 하나님의 증거이니 곧 자기 아들에 관하여 증언하셨음이라.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. (관련) 마 3:16
5:10 하나님의 아들을 믿는 자는 자기 안에 증거를 가지고 있으며 그분을 믿지 않는 자는 하나님을 거짓말하는 분으로 만들었으니, 왜냐하면 하나님께서 자기 아들에 관하여 주신 증거를 믿지 않은 까닭이라.
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
5:11 더욱이 하나님께서 우리에게 영원한 생명을 주셨으니 이 생명이 하나님의 아들 안에 있는 것이라. 이것이 증거로다.
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (관련) 요 1:4
5:12 그 아들을 가진 자에게는 생명이 있고 하나님의 아들이 없는 자에게는 생명이 없다.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (관련) 요 3:36
5:13 하나님의 아들의 이름을 믿는 너희에게 내가 이것들을 쓴 것은, 너희가 영원한 생명을 가졌다는 것을 너희로 알게 하고 하나님 아들의 이름을 믿게 하려는 것이라. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
5:14 이것이 하나님 안에서 우리가 가진 확실한 믿음이니 그것은 우리가 하나님의 뜻대로 무엇이든 구하면 그분께서 우리를 들어주신다는 것이다.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: (관련) 요일 3:22
5:15 만일 우리가 무엇을 구하든지 하나님께서 들으신다는 것을 안다면, 우리가 그분께 청한 것들을 받는 것도 아느니라.
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

5:16 만일 아무든지 자기의 형제가 죽음에 이르지 않는 죄를 범하는 것을 보거든 간절히 구하라, 하나님께서 죽을죄를 짓지 않은 그들을 위하여 생명을 주실 것이라. 죽음에 이르는 죄가 있는데 나는 그가 그것을 위해 기도하라고 하지 않을 것이다.
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. (관련) 욥 42:8, 마 12:31
5:17 모든 불의가 다 죄로되, 사망으로 이끌지 않는 죄도 있다.
All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

5:18 누구든지 하나님께로 난 사람은 죄를 짓지 않는다는 것을 우리가 아노니 다만 하 나님께로 난 사람은 자기 자신을 보존하고 악한 자가 그를 손대지 못한다.
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one
toucheth him not.
5:19 더욱이 우리가 하나님의 것이라는 것과 온 세상이 악에 놓였다는 것도 안다.
And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. (관련) 갈 1:4
5:20 또한 우리는 하나님의 아들이 오셔서, 우리가 진리이신 그분을 알게 하시고 참되 신 하나님의 아들 예수 그리스도 안에 살고 있다는 것을 우리에게 깨닫게 해주신 것을 아노라. 이 분은 참 하나님이시며 영원한 생명이시라.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. (관련) 사 9:6, 요 17:3, 롬 9:5
5:21 자녀들아, 우상들로부터 너희 자신을 멀리하라. 아멘.
Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
