    I was hoping there'd be an option that didn't involve the areolas at all to maintain feeling. Rather, guarantee feeling.

    On your website, you don't have an option for just an augmentation. You have augmentation with implants. Can you elaborate more on the procedure costs?

    • @barrettplasticsurgery
      @barrettplasticsurgery  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      in case of augmentation, you can get breast implants or fat transfer. The cost of surgery depends on a lot of factors (type of surgery, number of treated areas, anesthesia fee, surgeon, facility fee, city, etc.). Feel free to contact us at www.drdanielbarrett.com/virtual-consultation/

    What technique could best preserve the shape and size of the areola whilst giving a decent lift?

    • @barrettplasticsurgery
      @barrettplasticsurgery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      every technique is good as long as it is done well. I avoid using anchor lift because of boxy look after breast lift.

  • @roseyatkinson889
    @roseyatkinson889 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Do you ever use the anchor technique? I’ve been to a consultation where the doctor suggested the anchor because my breast are so large (40 I/J) and my nipple is so low. Have you been able to use the lollipop method on very large breasts?

    • @barrettplasticsurgery
      @barrettplasticsurgery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      My preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity.

      Good question. I have a breast reduction done 16 years ago with the anchor technique because I didn’t qualify for the lollipop, according to my surgeon.
      The true is, my breast still looks pretty good. My scars are not that noticeable and I have got better with time. The only thing is: if you gain weight, your breast is going to grow again. I don’t understand the boxy looking he’s talking about.

    Wish I knew this I’m 5 days out and so far love the results but I have the anker lift along with 800cc implants cohesive . Also can you do a video about weight gain after I went into surgery very lean and 5 days out I look like a balloon. Could my oxycodone cause this?

    How do you ask a surgeon about these types of details without coming off like a know-it-all? I have looked at some before/after photos for surgeons I'm looking into...and then I see the anchor scar. How do you simply say, that you prefer the lollipop and then have confidence that they have these capabilities?

    • @barrettplasticsurgery
      @barrettplasticsurgery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you should have a discussion with your surgeon prior to surgery and discuss about every single detail.

    Dr Ive read that the lollipop technique only reduces one bra cup so its better for smaller breasts. Do you still only use that technique or do you also do the anchor one

    For breast implant in how long can you go back to work if your in the nursing field as a CNA.

    • @barrettplasticsurgery
      @barrettplasticsurgery  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Dulce, most breast implant patients are able to resume working 1-2 weeks post-surgery, though we recommend prolonging strenuous activity for an additional 1-2 weeks. This will ensure optimal recovery and results!
