Babe was not only a good storyteller, he also was a good singer, and he was one heck of a jitterbug dancer in his days. I met him several times in Belgium, and I was lucky enough to know several guys in Easy. Bill and Babe kinda stood out from the "crowd", maybe because they were very much visible in the mini series. They both signed my old infantry jacket and Bill gave me a T-shirt. Lest we forget.
What a guy... The way he is the way he talks the way he still is hilarous... Do we still have people like this in our future generations probally not...
Hopefully future generations will never have to be tested the way these men were tested. Unfortunately, I'm afraid they will. So I hope they can draw strength from the example these men set.
If the good lord sees fit for me to into heaven, right after I hug my mother im gonna find wild Bill and babe and major winters and thank them personally and have a beer with em. R.I.P to you gentlemen and may the world never forget what you did.
Imagine these poor guys going into that hell of a war together after spending over year sleeping in barracks, training, laughing and supporting each other through it all. Then one of their brothers gets killed right in front of them. Just imagine the unbelievable mental strength they must have to immediately carry on to accomplish the mission. I mean I like to think of my self as tougher than the average guy just like we all do right? But I don’t think I could survive what they did and especially still come out like they did. Unbelievable heros, all of them. RIP Easy Company.
Give it to Heffron I laughed very hard. You know Heffron and Guarnere are so beloved characters I would say even their grandchildren loved them being around them will that said they do really miss them I would say now.
Watching this just got done watching band of Bros BABE got me laughing with the stories of grenades and machine gun ammo ....boy gotta respect to this old WARRIORS.... SALUTEj and RESPECT... May the gate of heaven welcome you 2 lined up with the boyz of EASY lead by MAJ. WINTERS saying WELCOME HOME SALUTE. SEMPER FI.
Babe & Wild Bill became as close as it is possible without being related. They really were brothers.
RIP, Babe! I was at this event, and it was an honor to meet Babe and Wild Bill. Great day!
Very cool.
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed but we’re jumping into Holland. I don’t want you to end up in Spain.” R.I.P Babe and Bill. Gone but Never Forgotten.
As long as I live, I will remember these guys, esp. "Wild Bill" and "Babe".
"Wild Bill" and "Babe": they're probably the best stand-up act I have ever seen!
RIP Babe Heffron

Thanks for sharing this! I was unable to get a good recording as I was sitting too far back. I'm glad you posted it for all to hear.
Haha, give 'em to Heffron.
They should have found these veteran guys sooner and give them a late night show. Babe especially is hilarious
Ross is just like a kid listening to a story his grandfather is telling him. Total fixation
