It can be a great investment. I had a 2015 STI, i was the original owner, i had 30k miles on the OD when i traded her in back in 2019 (fully paid off). I kept it 100% stock over the years, all service records with subaru. Nissan dealership gave me $30k for it at trade-in, and i bought it brand new in 2015 for $36k. So for 5 years of ownership, it only depreciated by $2k as Nissan sold my STI for $34k. The sales manager told me why i had such a high trade in value was: 1. It was completely stock 2. No ECU tune ever (they can check for it even if you flashed it back to OE spec) 3. All service was done at Subaru and documented 4. It only had 30k miles over 5 years of ownership. I traded my STI in for a 2016 GTR, getting $30k at trade in plus 10k down, i only financed 40k for the GTR at 3% interest over 5 years since 2019. im only paying $477/month for my GTR thanks to my STI and in fact this December my GTR will be paid off and its currently worth $85k. So definitely upkeep your WRX, dont mod it, dont put a lot of miles on it and keep it serviced only at subaru.
Only limited edition we have is the Club Spec (similar to the US TR) of which there's 150 units. This will help long term with keeping the paint easier to clean and maintain.
Each to their own with music choice. The base before all the mods was 55k AUD but that included the lip kit from factory. Ive poured a fair bit in since getting it obviously
9 times out of 10 cherry blossom red is a bit too much. But, the CBR lip and the mirror covers on WRB, plus the ceramic coating is the 1. Looking good mate.
I was worried if the mirror covers were going to be too much, but the little CBR highlights go pretty well with the WRB. Its why im still figuring out if i go black or blue for the fenders.
2020 and up is a good one to buy used ?
