You can get a really good fascial stretch and thoracic rom improvement if you angle the "open" hip away from the cable and allow the cable/resistance to rotate the spine.
@@lawlies7714 Hopefully this makes sense; instead of having both legs (and you're hips) lining up directly facing where the cable is coming from, slightly rotate your hips away from the cable. (you can do this easily by swinging your back foot around to be in line or outside your front foot). Doing this forces thoracic rotation and lateral flexion which will increase the stretch on the lats and thoracolumbar fascia. If you still can't work it out lemme know and I'll find or film a vid. Otherwise if you listen to John Meadows (RIP) explain how he does single arm rows/pulldowns as it's based on the same concept.
@@Dr_Footbrake i really didnt think that you would answer, so the fact that you did made me even happier, espacially now that i understand what you mean. Will try your instructions today and hope to get a nice stretch in ^^. If it doesnt work out, i will write you another comment. Thank you again!
Ahh wait every other video I see it says, whichever hand you grab the cable attachment, have the opposite knee up, instead of the same side. Which one is it I’m so new at this I’m just a girl with ms who wants gainz 😅
What’s pretentious about the name? It just basically describes it literally. “For some reason it’s called a half kneel” the reason would be because only one leg is kneeling. Could be called a one-leg kneel, but half works too. Or call it whatever you want really. There’s no rule book.
Nice bro u knew this before JPG

Love this exercise. I didn’t really start to see any lat development until I started using this one.
Nice
Lol i googled it on jpg coaching and just realized you did this 5 years ago, legend
Don’t have a gym membership but I have thick resistance bands (up to 150 lbs) and could probably do that from an anchor point.
Awesome video!! Thank you so much!
This shit gets the lats pumpin hard af

Could you elaborate?

This video its the best explanation
Nice!
I'm feeling it more in my thighs??
great video
good video
Thanks
Why do I feel this in my Tricep? Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
Maybe your arm is going behind your torso when it shouldn't?
the tricep long head contributes to shoulder extension which is one of the actions happening here. shouldn’t be the main thing u feel tho
Because you are pushing down on the handle with your arm when you’re not supposed to
me to what fix ?
I feel it in my forearm and bicep and shoulder idk what I'm doing wrong
Any relation to Lee Syatt? You guys look very similar!
Top video

What part of the lat does this work?
iliac or lower
How much talk!?
Hi omar
Wassope 😎🐵
Isn’t this exercise more of a row than a pulldown?
it's kind of a vertical row, yes.
@@derg6222 wtf is a vertical row😂
@@linashton8373 a vertical row is a row done in a vertical plane. not exactly rocket science lmao
Shouldn't it be what ever knee is down thats the arm you use
The problem with this exercise is you're not pulling the same direction as the lat muscle fibers are so the actual lat involvement is almost zero
Might wanna rethink that buddy
No reason not to bring the elbow behind the back.
Perfect reason, past the indicated range of motion will work more of the rear delt then the lat.
