Two things that are not yet mentioned in the tome as of now, The Fornax mantle increases damage when the player is on fire, and the Octans mantle heals the player when underwater.
Anyone who has gotten to this part of the mod, just a heads up. The Aevitas mantle is currently bugged, and you won’t be able to float in the recent version. You’ll still get the hp regen and hunger resilience though
Related to Mantles and any Iridescent Altar recipe with Attuned Crystals: I try to make Focus, Ritual Range, and Ritual Effect crystals for each constellation, even if I'm only using 1-2 (Like Aevitas and Horologium), so I keep the ones I'm not using for Rituals near my altar so they can do double-duty as generic attuned crystals for crafting.
i like the Aevitas Mantle, i just miss it being a wand that i could swap to and from as needed instead fo being stuck having to slowly drop down when i jsut want to use stairs.
If HellfirePVP doesn't name a Constellation after you in the 1.16 version, I'm quitting this mod! OK, I will keep playing it, but I will frump every time I look at the sky.
I may be flouting his mod heavily on my channel but it's well deserved and I take no claim to the effort he has put into it. I'm grateful he was willing to make such an amazing free mod that everyone that plays Minecraft could enjoy. That aside, thanks for the high praise but I don't think any constellation should be named "Vallen" as it's a better TH-camr name.
I've done everything and progressed to this point but when I try to activate the recipe for the Vicio mantle with the resonating wand, the altar just lets out a few sparkles and does nothing. I have the required Starlight and the altar is otherwise working fine. I do have the attuned crystal in the slot.

I was wondering to get different attuned crystals, can I just break the spectral relays on the attunement altar and then put another constellation? Or would I have to make different altars for all the constellations? Also, could I wear an attuned mantle and get its effects even though I'm not attuned to that constellation anymore?
@@spartanv0 try to use another crystal tool to repair yours on the anvil this works on the mantle also idk why the game doesnt even show this option but im not sure if its works there too , another option is to grind them on your grindstone but theyll get destroyed at any time too
So I'm trying to make a Bootes mantle of the stars, and when I place the materials on the altar it shows the bootes mantle as the outcome of the crafting. I right click on it with the wand and I get the sound effect and sparkle, but no crafting. ??? It's not like I'm forgetting to put the extra materials down, the process doesn't even start.
How do you get the astral relays on the floor to send up those coloured light beams? Not the most game changing of questions, but an important one nonetheless!

can I ask something about resplendent prism ? what are the chances to get a perfect one for armor example in faint starlight update of mod for Minecraft 1.12.2 you show a resplendet prism that really good. so what are the chances to get a good one bc I am spend more then 20 night after getting max in my save and try for almost 300 to get one that really good or perfect for armor with bonos of all existing enchant + protection and did not get what I try for so I want to know is it really hard to get or I am just unlucky ? mod ftb academy if is it matter and thanks for making tutorial for this mod is really helped me
That's an older version. I can't speak to it. The 1.16.4 version I show was taken from a single chest of results. So in recent version one could guess 1 in 27?
@@MischiefofMice Some rock crystals have a stat called focus, mine are all focused on discidia and I can’t find out if I have to find/make ones for viscio in order to attune my mantle of the stars

I thought it would be really usefull as i mainly build stuff, so no more dirt scaffoldings. When i sneak on an edge of a block green particles appear and my starlight energy is drained but when i try to actually walk off of ledge i just fall. I actually almost died because of this.
correct me if i'm wrong but the old mantles got creative flight, but i honestly like this more in terms of balance. creative flight just feels like a cop out for a lot of mods

Bit late for commenting, but how did you get those multicolored spectral relays? Do you need the wand of illumination?
I think a colored lense was put on them
there is a perk whitch allows creative flight with the vicio mantle instead of elytra

Yes, just break and make a new one. Yes, it's the mantle that's attuned so no problem.

Water Mending. Earth Mending. Fire Mending. Air Mending. Then, everything changed when the Fire Mending attacked.

It might be you are a fraction off of starlight or starlight has faded in the sky by a tiny bit

Awwww, I really miss the wands from 1.12. Some of them felt a lot better, especially considering the mantles can't be toggled on and off.
A few effects might be able to be with the V key but not many.

The stat "focus" has nothing to do with that book entry. It just gets more starlight from it's "focused" constellation when in the sky.

I had the same problem yesterday. Had to set up two Celestial Crystals with the structure and two astral relays with lenses.

You can still get it. A perk allows creative flight using the vicio mantle. So does a ritual.
