Going to repeat myself. Dart traps pointed down will hurt the blocks under them unless they are bars. Use a blade trap sideways over your fighting position!!! Does headshots, does not trigger Demos, will knock them off a narrow pole (if you use that pathing), can repair it from fighting position, uses no ammo. Another note. You can use motion sensors for both dart traps and blade traps! Trigger plates are horrible, very delicate, they break easy. Use a motion sensor that is 4 blocks away from a potential blast area. I love blade traps and usually use them on my horde path hooked up to a motion sensor. Stagger them at head height and ground height alternating. _-_-_-
No they don't. Dart traps will not damage your blocks. They can only damage zombies, and/or you. Blocks can block their projectile pathing, but it does no damage to the block. They can only path through blocks with a gap in the center though, or bars/railings, or (oddly) they go right through motion sensors. A classic use of the dart trap is to put it on a post, opposite the player shooting into a "hatch hallway". The hatches will prevent it hitting you (well, as long as the dart trap is aiming into the lower block area). Although that orientation is poor if you use ranged weapons, as the dart trap is right in the line of fire. It's fantastic on a melee focused hatch hallway though. Blade traps which are close enough to the player to be reached with a nail gun for repairs can be pretty good. But overall dart traps can be placed so that they don't take any damage during horde night, and they do a LOT of damage. As soon as you get into zombies which explode (cops, demos, whatever else in DF) blade traps take a real beating due to relatively low health of the trap, relative to how close it needs to be to the zombies. Also, blade traps lose damage to armor and difficulty tier. Dart traps do not. Best use of blade traps is to elevate the zombies by 1/2 block (1/2 high blocks under the zombie feet). This allows you to effectively change the blade trap's height by a half block (relative to the zombies). Then place it high enough that shorter zombies path under it, while taller zombies (which are almost universally more tanky & dangerous) get hit across the top of their forehead by the blade trap. This saves blade trap durability, focusing it's effects on the particular zombies which really need some extra dps to take down. This can also be used to simply knock only the tall zombies off of a tightrope path. It's a good option to limit xp loss to traps, while getting some good utility out of blade traps. Ideally you want traps to slow zombies, interrupt pathing, and "soften up" zombies for players to take out with their weapons. Exactly how much "softening up" is very much a "season to taste" matter, and depends on game stage too. Not apposed to an overhead blade trap though at the fighting position. That's super strong at low to medium difficulties. But they are hard to keep them from getting destroyed on higher difficulties or in higher game stages (or in mods like DF). I mostly use them elsewhere in a path, with the elevation trick, to knock especially tall zombies out of the queue, and back down to the ground. Like a cop/biker/hawaian pre-filter. Or, in places where they can't fall off, to just help reduce the hp on those zombies, to even out the 'softening' done by traps across the zombies. Less useful in DF though, where really dangerous zombies can come in short sizes 😉 And yeah, dart traps eat up iron & clay. I'd avoid them until you get good mining tools and some mining perks. But once you can easily mine iron by the stack, they're quite nice. Certainly easier to feed than ammo-munching turrets. I really wish blade traps had like 3x the health, so they'd be more useful in late gamestage or higher difficulty. They're awesome in settings where they can manage not to break. TL/DR: Dart traps don't damage blocks.
Not sure if anyones said this yet but you can open the ammo you dont want to get base resources. So you can take 9mm or 44 ammo and open them, then craft 7.62.
Fun fact: If you double click the box with one arrow (at the top left of your inv) while you're in a storage box, it will put all same items in AND create new stacks if it hits max.
Horde base lookin great with each every episode. I really like the Punch turret placement on the right side. Next horde night will be a a hell of a Blast i think :) Can't wait to see it :D
the stunbaton is great but you need all the point is it and in the physician perk tier 5 . it will safe you a lot of ammo and just use a gun to support you wen you get in a wtf moment .( and there are turrets to support the baton to . love to see what is going to happen in the next vid . love to see it all . ( YEAH i see dark clouds ahead for horde night )
Best to look at Concrete on your base as an investment rather than a cost. Early on, you put it in places where it will pay off the most (the foundation of your base and around your defensive position like you did here). It pays dividends since minor repairs to concrete is far cheaper to do than replacing whole missing blocks of anything else both in materials and time sink. Same when upgrading to steel and then Titanium later on. Also, desperately need a choke on that shotty. Makes a world of difference.
For your farm plots you need rain catcher because they gather water :) and dont forget: make quality food, take daily your vitamins, drink beer and all stuff wich give you wellness. Put a point to quicker crafting so your production grows faster.
Nice episode :) DF hordes are rough, and I can think of a few ways I'd modify your base, just based on understanding zombie pathing. But I'm really curious exactly how it performs. (it's a pity you didn't loot the college jacket at the cemetery tho. +movement speed makes it by _FAR_ the best A22/V1.0 clothing item in the game)
If you swap the solid blocks over your sledge to Railings (or Corner Railings) you can reach through the slats to place it. Railings look similar to Bars but you can reach through them to do repairs and interact with things on the other side. If you focus on one of the rails you'll target the block but if you look between the slats you can effectively "reach through" and place blocks, turrets, run wires, etc... You can't melee through Railings or throw grenades etc through them but you can interact with things on the other side if you look between the rails. I have not tried this personally but given that you can place objects through the railings you can probably place mines through railings as well even though you can't throw a grenade through them.
There's definitely going to be demons and succubi in the horde night episode. Shotgun turret should be in the roof, and blade traps should be positioned with the electrical fences.
You hopefully my favorite youtuber can do a series like this at some point ever since i found this game like 3 years ago i was asking him to play the game but hey i found you abd you vecame my second fav youtuber
Not sure if it’s still the same, but I know you could take ammo you don’t need and ‘open’ them and it’ll give you the components back so you can use them to make ammo you do need. (Hope that makes sense, I’m high af right now 😂) and if that’s not a thing anymore, you could just sell all that 44 ammo and use the profits to buy more of what you do need. Can’t wait for horde night to see how the base comes together. Ya know, once you have a roof and all 😉🫶🏻
When you are crafting something, like a weapon, it says 'track', meaning it will show you on the screen what you need to craft it without having to try and remember it.
Just a little advice on pointer you DO NOT NEED AN ITEM for your plots, also I would advice you to run some lil POIs to boost your ammunition builds Also I'm not sure if this is good idea but try pre looting before you go into to boost your loots
You can craft Mastery Books btw. And there is an other way of getting them except of looting & crafting. But some day you will discover it (or should i say her?) :)
Put a pressure trap on your side of the door when it’s gets bad back up onto it and have the dart traps go off or if that doesn’t work out a switch you hit so you don’t blow through darts
When you are looking at what you need to craft something just click on "track" right under "craft". It will list all needed ingredients on the top right of the screen.
Or use a Shotgun Choke Mod. That solves problems like that. btw if 5 out of 10 pallets hit the head & the other 5 misses, you do more dmg than 10 pallets in the body. dont shoot at the body ^^
I like the duck bill mod for big clusters because it makes the line spread in a line and you could hit three zombie with all three zombies getting hit in the head
@isyzen use that coilgun! The one in your toolbelt you don’t ever use lol you need to load it with mods the blessing mod but it’s the most powerful gun you Have right now bro. It also stops demon regeneration
I have seen you make to many vids but you are yet to max lvl out a gun I mean your at 61 then master makes it 71 then if you combined them in the workbench you get to lvl 81 please do this I thank you for all the funny good vids 😂.
1 piece of advice, don’t use the silencer on the shotgun because that’s the reason of damage reduction and range (idk if it reduces the damage in darkness fall if you don’t got a urban combat book) 2 piece of advice, try and max your weapons by tier and mods (the bless mod idk the full name can help you with the demons) 🫠 3 pice of advice, use the machete or a club if you don’t want the stun baton anymore (you used the machete last play through and it was good) Thanks FOR THE HARD WORK THOUGH 🙏🫡
@isyzen CoilGun/ coil pistol stops Demon regeneration and is the most powerful gun you have, start using it! Put your best mods in it and it will seriously help you.
@isyzen use that coilgun! The one in your toolbelt you don’t ever use lol you need to load it with mods the blessing mod but it’s the most powerful gun you Have right now bro. It also stops demon regeneration
You didnt have to point the gun to get me to hit the Like Button i do that any way love the vids
Lmao favorite comment of the episode

Syzen has been cooking in. This episode man can't wait you to use the horde base
Not sure if anyones said this yet but you can open the ammo you dont want to get base resources. So you can take 9mm or 44 ammo and open them, then craft 7.62.
Thank you for the love! I appreciate it also thanks for the tips. I'll give it a try!

Good Stuff, just a mention..... if you click track when crafting it shows the recipe. Since your storage is 25 yards for the crafting stations
Horde base lookin great with each every episode.
I really like the Punch turret placement on the right side.
Next horde night will be a a hell of a Blast i think :)
Can't wait to see it :D
@39:41 - Tradel Joel make ya *JUMP JUMP* 😂😂😂😂
I hope everything works out like you wanted at the end! :D
I want to see that bloodmoon so bad x)
Thank you for another episode of this amazing series ❤️
Another great watch! Excited for this hoard night 🫶🫶
You're killing it! Great episode

I've waited on pins and needles for this episode I just started it and I'm sliding back in my seat to enjoy.
Nice episode :)

How about the wasteland mod next? Still loving these vids though syzen. Keep up the great work!
Try placing the pressure plate right before the door. The zombies running behind should should trigger it to attack the zombies in the front. Maybe.
i’m in love with this series

I wish I could play this mod on PS5!!! Keep the amazing videos !
the farming class perk to do WAY less block damage with shotties is so so good, when u dont have it its just constant suffering
Looked forward to this one.
& comment for the algo gods.

Pretty sure when you do a buried supply quest you can dig under the ! Then accept the quest after and the loot box will appear

you need a rain catcher 1 below your crops to water them
When you are crafting something, like a weapon, it says 'track', meaning it will show you on the screen what you need to craft it without having to try and remember it.
Just as fyi you can track stuff your crafting and it will show you the materials you need on your screen while you look through you storage

Finnaly new ep
:) Hope you like it fam!
If eviscerating houses is bugging you one of the Farmers "Get Off My Land" perks reduces the block damage done by Shotguns.
When you are looking at what you need to craft something just click on "track" right under "craft". It will list all needed ingredients on the top right of the screen.
Hay is harvested with shovel i believe : )
Shotgun shoot pellets so aiming for the head means some pellets miss so your not getting full damage, unless your using slugs, try body/neck shots
Can't wait for another
@isyzen use that coilgun! The one in your toolbelt you don’t ever use lol you need to load it with mods the blessing mod but it’s the most powerful gun you
Have right now bro. It also stops demon regeneration
Oh and you got your drum mag on the smg
Waiting for the horde night battle is it going to be epic or a fail I can’t wait and hoping it is an epic win for you
Water barrel needs a water bucket to fill it up and for u to place the barrel near the crop
After this series do rebirth mod
Also Judie witch has lots of mushrooms
Ty

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
turn your brightness all the way down it makes it a real horror game
Put a land claim block in trader and take his gun turrets
finally
Oh and turrets will hit nipple on demolitions
Check the recipes on poop and silver... they're useful to Farmers and Scientists and Mechanics
I have seen you make to many vids but you are yet to max lvl out a gun I mean your at 61 then master makes it 71 then if you combined them in the workbench you get to lvl 81 please do this I thank you for all the funny good vids 😂.
YEAAAH !!
Hope you enjoy!
So no lawnmower yet?
I been waitingggg
Its been 2 days DX
@ I know kept me on my toes waiting for the vid, keep the work up my man every video is amazing !!
7:00 sensor.
Sort your wellness
Sort your face. Just kidding, seriously though it would be a lot easier if I could stay alive
1 piece of advice, don’t use the silencer on the shotgun because that’s the reason of damage reduction and range (idk if it reduces the damage in darkness fall if you don’t got a urban combat book)
2 piece of advice, try and max your weapons by tier and mods (the bless mod idk the full name can help you with the demons) 🫠
3 pice of advice, use the machete or a club if you don’t want the stun baton anymore (you used the machete last play through and it was good)
Thanks FOR THE HARD WORK THOUGH 🙏🫡
When is the finally episode coming do u no yet or no
first second of the video: 😨 🙆🏻♂
@isyzen CoilGun/ coil pistol stops Demon regeneration and is the most powerful gun you have, start using it! Put your best mods in it and it will seriously help you.
