Well done Michael 👍 your videos are so relaxing 😎 is exactly what I want when I go fishing. Just me by the sea with my rods the sound of the surf and my empty thought. Thanks for chilling me out any time 😊🌅🌊🎣🐟😎💭
great video again. one of my local beaches growing up and always fish there when I visit my mum. I found better luck with the Small eyed rays at night, over low like you fished. When they are there they are there, i’ve had 14 in a session. They fight hard too unlike the thorn backs that frequent the thames estuary and kent coast where I now fish.
Hi Mick. Don't suppose we'll ever see turbot caught off Southend...but we can always dream! Nothing against flat beaches...apart from the number of times you have to move! Another great video. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep healthy. Cheers. Ken
Great watch Michael I would advise you to have a go at the other end of Borth you will find a rocky outcrop you can cast easily onto the sand if you pick a medium tide and fish two hours either side of low prime time is early flood very good chance of a small eyed and a good Bass
Good morning Michael Very enjoyable, the turbot are a beautiful fish, i can remember an enormous one taken while wreck fishing out of Brighton, and smaller ones off the banks out of dover .. but few and far between recently, so well done on your beach caught fish , really good to see.... Thank you for your dedication in presenting another quality video. Best regards. 🎣
Not a common sight from beaches on our south coast, but can be caught - much better to try places like Borth which are known for them (or go boat fishing) - like most venues though, you've got to hit it right. Thanks again for your kind words Michael.
Very nice to see you out again . There are many good flatfish rigs with beads and small weights on the snoods to keep the bait right on the bottom . Dover sole ?
Good question - I couldn't see any rot in the gin clear water here; but did look at those 'suds' - soapy to the touch and I know they are linked to algae and in some places can produce a foam bath effect! Not enough for that here. A few jellyfish were also washed up. Thanks for watching and commenting.
There a turbot spots along borth beach , but trouble being alot of fish holding gullies filled in after the storm , it fishes on ebb and up tide peters off about half way , you need an on shore wind with bit of chop , sand eel bluey rag all catch ,,, ynsla end by look out black lug is the bait as there are lug beds round the nature center estury side , dont bother after its bern raining as the dyfy chucks cold murk fresh water along the beach ,,, best times are autumn and spring b4 holiday makers get there
Nice to see turbot being caught on some beaches especially in numbers

Thanks Ken - yes it's a pain having to constantly move your kit, but it's nice to fish somewhere where turbot can be caught.
What a lovely beach. Nice one! 👍 I always tend to reel in to early! Cheers for the show mate
Thanks Col

Great shout - thanks for that, I keep that in mind for future jaunts to that area.

Good morning Michael

Yes - worth trying those rigs for soles. However I find that its more important just to use very short snoods and small hooks for them.
How did you find the May bloom i did see a bit of foam on the video keep the vids coming 👍

Doing good there get those rods bent.
Thanks - rods are pretty stiff - but the tips bend well!

Thanks for the great advice - I'll try and get some black lug to use there next time. I'm also thinking about peeler crab for the bass.
Bass will take rags , but you need to fish spring , and autum for decent size
