It's about time I posted another Ace Attorney cover, right? I've actually had this one recorded for a while, but I hadn't posted it cause I wasn't sure if I was pleased with it -- Apollo has one of my favorite themes in the series, and I wanted to make sure I would be doing it JUSTICE, get it? crickets chirping
Ahhh, anyhow, I hope you guys enjoy this one! It's fairly simple and straightforward, but then again so is Apollo! He's such a determined character and he is passionate about his convictions -- I tried to focus the lyrics around that, so hopefully they worked well! Let me know what you think! Same here. Nothing against everyone else, but Apollo justice VS Gavin is the one confrontation i enjoyed :) They were literally friendly rivals searching for the truth at the end....
I think it has to do with nostalgia, many fans couldn't handle the fact that Phoenix wasent the "main hero"
I like Apollo. I just like Phoenix more. Apollo just needs to be a LOT more fleshed out and he'll be as good, if not better, than Phoenix himself.

Tartar It's a reference from the game. Apollo's more or less catchphrase is "I'm Apollo Justice and I feel fine!" he says it before every case to pump himself up and give himself confidence.

This suits Apollo to a T. After all, despite similarities, each of the 3 lawyers each have a different thing driving them, at their core.
Phoenix has belief. Even if it looks like the person did it, he's going to trust in their innocent until the bitter end... which is a good trait, but it can make him seem somewhat naive at times. And can get him into trouble, as it did when he defended Engarde, because he had someone who was guilty... but he still had to defend them. And again, in Spirit of Justice, he was on the wrong side, and he knew it, but he still had to fight, which led him to flounder and bluff a fair bit more than usual.
Athena has feelings. She wants to clear up your feelings to get to the truth, and to make sure you'll be fine when the end comes, no matter what. Her power could be considered even better than Apollo and Phoenix's, because she gives a visual representation of what is being said, making it easier to pinpoint how and why things are odd. She cares about your feelings, and doesn't necessarily need evidence, which is good, because quite often the evidence for some of her testimonies doesn't actually exist at first.
Apollo's driving force is justice and truth. It had been from the start. Remember how in his first case, he says "I'm sorry, Mr. Gavin. This isn't about loyalty... This is about the truth!" Apollo does have some faith, but at his core he wants to bring out the truth. Hence why he left the agency when he grew suspicious of Athena, to distance himself and to make it easier to approach the investigation with an unbiased view. He didn't WANT to believe Athena did it, but all of the evidence pointed towards her. Apollo wants to know the truth, and that justice is done.
Of course, the truth is important to all of them. It's just about the driving forces behind them that differ.

Also, I feel like Apollo wanted to be a defense attorney like Phoenix by always believing in his clients but in his first trial, it kind of for ruined for him because he saw what Phoenix was willing to do to get Gavin, and so it made Apollo more realistic

@@lisahenry20 I do see why Phoenix did that, though. The reason his badge got taken away from him was because he was given phony evidence. Fake evidence.
Phoenix actually did a mixture of two tricks. He did the same trick that Gavin did, although he gave the phony evidence to Apollo, which probably upset Apollo more than anything else, but he also used a trick that Franziska used in the second game.
During the second case, when Phoenix was trying to convince the judge that the picture clearly wasn't of Maya, Franziska produced a picture of Maya in the detention centre, channeling Mia.
Mia said that it couldn't be accepted as evidence, and Franziska even agreed that it couldn't be submitted as evidence, but the image was burned into the Judge's mind, so that 'Maya' in the picture looking different wasn't an issue any more.
Similarly, when the bloody card was shown, Gavin's reaction, and immediately calling it out as fake evidence, put him at the scene of the crime, even if the card was fake evidence and thus couldn't be accepted.
But yeah, that might be why Apollo puts the truth before everything, because of Phoenix tricking him into using forged evidence.

This is completely and utterly amazing. Not only did you come up with lyrics that fit him perfectly at the time, but after Dual Destinies came out, it feels like they looked at your song and decided to make a story from it's concept. Wonderful work, I can't stop listening to it.
I just wanted to say that I listened to this literally *years* ago, probably 9 years ago and the lyrics still come into my head whenever I hear AJ's theme. This vocal cover is AMAZING and I adore the work you did with it :)))) can't believe it's been over a decade since this released, haha- cheers!

To be honest, the whole piano cover would have required some improvements, but as a teenager, I wasn't as demanding of myself as now...

*I don't believe I will ever comprehend why some people think Apollo Justice is replacing Phoenix Wright. Phoenix is the main character in numerous games (Justice for All, Trials and Tribulations, Dual Destinies, and so on.) Apollo is his own character and he is totally different from Phoenix with his entire backstory and his family back in Khura'in. Truly, they will have similarities since Phoenix is Apollo's (former) BOSS. They are both going to be lawyers and have similar interests yet Apollo isn't replacing Phoenix and never will for that matter. {personally i'm more of a fan for Apollo rather than Phoenix, but they are both very good characters and make ace attorney the wonderful game it is)*

William Larsson No, I just kept searching TH-cam for things like "adrisaurus apollo justice male vocal cover" (without quotes), and adding and subtracting words to try and get better search results. Since I didn't like any of them as much as this one, I didn't bother to keep track of them.
(Hopefully, this makes sense. My sleep schedule is kind of screwed up, and I'm staying up for a long time in an effort to get back on track. Unfortunately, it's kind of hard to think clearly at the moment because of it.)

Amazing! I've put this song on endless replay when I'm writing. It especially helps since I'm writing a murder mystery, which definitely fits the theme of the song :) I've never played Apollo Justice, but I can tell how much the lyrics fit him.
