Palestine, Texas - East Texas Piney Woods - City Tour

Palestine (/ˈpælɪstiːn/ PAL-ih-steen) is a city in and the seat of Anderson County in the U.S. state of Texas.[5] It was named for Palestine, Illinois, by preacher Daniel Parker, who had migrated from that town.[6] It is also contested that Micham Main named Palestine after his hometown of Palestine, Illinois when he and his family arrived here along with the Parker family and several others.

Thanks for the drive thru, but the narrator has mispronounced the name; the last part is not pronounced with a long i at the end as in "Pine", it is pronounced with a long e as in "teen". Palestine sounds like Pal-e-steen. 😉👍🏻

Lots of medical jobs at regional medical center, lots of doctor offices, huge Walmart warehouse, new tractor factory, car dealerships, Banks, city services, county courthouse, Texas State highway department, School teachers, NASA NATIONAL SCIENTIFIC BALLOON BASE, AND THE JOBS GO ON AND ON. 👍🏻
