Only the finest materials have been used in the new DAF. Lightweight, high strength steel is used for the cab structure, and premium soft touch materials and leather are used extensively throughout the interior. Highly energy efficient LED lighting is used throughout the truck, with special attention paid to the state-of-the-art low and high-beam headlights. These include the signature daytime running lights making the New Generation DAF recognizable in all conditions. The New Generation DAF was designed with a focus on Six Sigma quality and the vehicles underwent over 20 million kilometers of functional, durability, reliability and customer testing to ensure the new trucks meet DAF’s exacting quality standards.
Enhanced Safety
The new cab design features a large windscreen and large side windows with ultra-low belt lines for unequalled direct vision. As an option, a curb view window is available which - in combination with the foldable co-driver seat - offers an unobstructed view on pedestrians and cyclists next to the truck on the co-driver side.
Also new is the DAF Digital Camera system that can replace the main and wide-angle mirrors. The DAF Corner View system offers maximum view on the area around the cab’s A-pillar on the co-driver side. All vehicle lighting now includes full LED technology for optimal view and visibility.
DAF’s philosophy ‘Hands on the Wheel, Eyes on the Road’ results in class-leading ergonomics. All driving related functions are operated from the steering wheel and the steering column stalks. Secondary driving functions are operated from physical switches, logically positioned on the dashboard, within easy reach of the driver.
Luxury and Comfort for the Driver
With the New Generation XF, XG and XG+, a new dimension of driver comfort is introduced. Driving position, interior space, sleeping comfort, fit and finish - everything is top class.
Drivers will be impressed by the interior space. With a volume of 12.5 m3, the DAF XG+ has even14% more volume than the industry-benchmark, the current DAF XF Super Space Cab. The new cab creates unprecedented adjustment ranges for the seats and steering column and both driver and co-driver seats can be rotated to a relaxing position.
The beautiful interior features an eye-catching dashboard with a fully digital instrument panel which can be customized to the driver’s personal preferences. An optional second touch screen display is available for operating the DAF Navigation and Infotainment System.
DAF builds on its heritage as the provider of the best bunks in the industry. The new bed length is 2,220 mm in all models, with 800 mm of width over the complete length in the XG and XG+ models. A mechanical or electrically adjustable DAF Relax Bed with a separate topper is available for optimal head, back and leg support while resting.
The state-of-the-art ambient LED lighting is adjustable in brightness and color. A fully integrated Park Airco is available as an option on the XG+ for automatic cooling and heating of the cab, even when the engine is turned off.
Significantly contributing to the outstanding comfort, is the exemplary ride & handling, that is created by the new front-end design of the chassis, the new cab suspension and the new design of the rear axle suspension.
All together this makes the New Generation DAF the driver’s ultimate dream.

Taking off the shoes and leaving them on the stairs when entering the cab , just like us driver do all the time , that was PRICELESS , DAF is the best truck i ever experienced , and they are always talking about driver comfort , witch by the way , its PEFECT , DAF is a work of art !

I'm still driving a 2005 Sleeper Cab Euro 3 CF65.250 Bhp Turbo Air to Air Charge Cooled with ZF 9 speed Syncromesh Manual Gearbox, never had a breakdown to date, everything is working perfectly and the consumption is very good...in ZIMBABWE🇿🇼
I'm not fan of synchro-manual boxes in heavy trucks.
My company has taken these on and I love the chunky controls on the stalks. Mirror cams are nice and contrasty but suffer from poor visibility at night on dark roads like the ones on the Mercs. Fine on well lit roads and yards. Great in the rain too. I've never had loss of visibility driving in the rain. Clear image. One gripe I have with mirror cams in general is that because I need reading glasses I can't see the screens clearly without putting them on. So glasses for reversing... The infotainment system is top notch and the sound amazing. Dab radio standard and I can listen to my own stuff via Android Auto. Google maps works but won't allow you to use that for navigating, only looking up addresses or simply a moving map display. And they did away with that horrible auto gearbox selector dial, replacing it with a nice chunky wheel on the right hand stalk. Yep, this is a big improvement on earlier models.

I’m so happy they did made a lot of comfort adjustments. I really did miss the arm rest panel….also on the seats on the left sides. Heard many drivers complain about it. But this must be a very nice and comfort truck. Hope we got to try it 🤣

When you work on construction site I understand the safety shoes but when you are a international driver with long trips like over 2000 km per sense its worth the risk.

If we Turks are traveling more than 100 km, we will definitely have the carpet in the car and ride without shoes. because if you're sleeping in a truck, that's your home. And if you enter the truck with shoes, it will be dust all over the vehicle. shoes bring the dirt of the outside inside. In fact, in the Ford F-MAX developed in Turkey, Turkish engineers isolated the section where the shoes are placed so that water and dust do not enter, just because Turkish drivers use it that way. This speaker is obviously someone who knows trucking.

Not necessarily. Every truck brand knows that drivers do it this way, so they take that into account when developing and introducing a new model...

I'm driving a 2018Daf XF, I was driving different brands in the past and I noticed few things on each on.Daf wen you use the retarder the cruse control come off(oful and stress full to pres the cruise control constantly) HEAD UP display I think should be implemented in the trucks,helps to keep the speed hill down with out having to watch constantly on the dash.Having to pres button to go manual that's another think daf does, should be easy as click down a - or + not having pres others buttons.Every brand try upgrade their trucks but the engineers have no ideea what driving a truck means,and the ones testem they are just pilots.

I do not like the new version.
The fridge has been reduced, which is very bad. It would be better to increase the freezer compartment in the refrigerator.
Camera mirrors are bad and uncomfortable, dangerous to use.
This has already been checked by colleagues working for Mercedes.
Ask for advice when updating cars from drivers who work cadences of 10 weeks or more. For whom the car is housing.
I have been working on DAF XF 106 for 5 years and I am not at all satisfied with this update.
It seems that the company has hired designers Volvo and Scania.
Who decided to tarnish the reputation of DAF.
The steering wheel is the same as in Volvo, not comfortable. DAF 106 has a much better steering wheel.
The DAF design does not need to be changed to Scania. Its design is the best!
A 106 does not exist. It is a 105 euro 6.
And you can get the new one with normal mirrors and that is good news.
