Love the travel day. Really appreciate all the insight with airlines and traveling between countries. Checkin day is always great to see. Also appreciate the honest reviews regarding price and food quality. Cant wait to see the park videos
Love a travel day, Hong Kong Airport is a lovely airport i remember getting your temp checked when we landed in 2018. We have been to Hong Kong twice 1990 and 2018 both.on the way to Australia in 1990 it was the old airport and you literally flew through apartment blocks on the approach. We went to disneyland on our 2018 trip and really enjoyed it especially the backdrop of the mountains. Looking forward to more vlogs
Hiya 🤗 I don’t think that price was that bad for the 3 of you 🫣 There seemed to be quite a lot of good quality food at the buffet and with the characters as well - and the fab interactions 😊 I’m glad your journey over was a good one too. I cannot wait for the next vlog 🩷 xxx
Very helpful speaking about Alipay with revolut as was planning on doing the same as I am doing the same journey what is the link for the SIM card you used please
We're doing the same trip next year but with Aulani included. You mentioned the e-simcard, where did you purchase those? Thanks for helping us preparing for our trip!
If you don’t mind using physical sim, you can get PAYG sims at the airport. There are phone shops at the airport. Failing that you can get sims at convenience stores such as 7-11. The sims are quite cheap like £5 you will have enough data to last you on your trip.
Whilst £80 is a lot of money. Inventions brunch at DLP even like 10 years ago was similar money. Still a buffet and decent buffet but not as good as that. It did have special characters but still what you had was way way better.
We just don’t usually (ever) spend that kind of money on meals! It was a great meal and the interactions were wonderful but we wouldn’t pay that much again…
@@TheKershawsAdventures me neither, I’ve been planning a week in Madrid in couple of months and found a whole load of restaurants that do what they call Menu Del Dia (menu of the day) usually 3 courses for around €15.
I see you just been to Shanghai Disneyland in your last vlog. We are planning to go there later in the year. We were going to go in September but first 2 weeks in September is the end of the storm season and 3rd week is Autumn festival and 4th week is week b4 Holden week so it’s getting busy. So we going beginning of November as that’s when Halloween is over I just want the usual Disney magic. Is Shanghai a busy park? Hopefully we can get the disability pass like we did when we went to HK Disneyland. We both have minor disabilities. The disability passes really helped us out as we did not have to queue for any of the rides but for the character meets we had to queue. Did you do any of the shows? I think the shows are all in Chinese but some the songs are in English. We will stay at the Toy Story hotel as that gives you early entry to the park. Anyhow we really enjoyed HK Disneyland as I moved from U.K. to live in the Philippines the 3 Asian Disneyland’s are quite close to us so we done HK in March. Shanghai we do later in the year and then Tokyo In May next year.
It wasn’t super busy when we were here but we went at a quieter time of year and midweek. I believe it can be a very busy park at times. We did all the shows and even not being able to understand everything they were still fantastic! Hope you have a great trip!
@@TheKershawsAdventures What time of year did you go? We have very mild disabilities and when we went to HK Disneyland in March we were lucky enough to get the DAS disability pass. We hope we can get that pass again at Shanghai.
@@TheKershawsAdventures . I think that Tuesday and Wednesday are the quickest days at the park follow Ed by Thursday and Friday. All other days are meant to be busier. Mid winter is meant to be the quickest time of year to visit.
Ollies room tour is one off the best room tours I've ever seen
Aww thank you! Hes having a lot of fun doing room tours now!
Looks like the character dining was an amazing experience.
It was incredible! Just wish we had been a bit more prepared for doing it and not in Universal tees 🙊
Fantastic travel day blog, it looks amazing. It looks amazing.🎉have fun.
Thank you so much 😊
Fantastic vlog hotel looks beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you! The hotel was gorgeous but I think if we go back we would stay at Explorers, that looks more like the Poly and Wildnerness Lodge mixed!

Thank you! I’d definitely recommend Cathay Pacific, I actually think it’s the best (tied with Singapore air maybe) airline we’ve flown with now!
Quote of the vlog.... "PER PERSON!?!" 😁
Oh, to have Ollie's room tour energy. Tell him we thought he was BRILLIANT 😁
🤣 it was even more than that in the end as well! Ollie says thank you! He’s properly into doing the room tours now!
Greeting from Shanghai, Can not wait for your next video, Love it!
Thank you so much 😊
Your son did an excellent job with the room tour.😅
Thank you ☺️ he’s enjoying making them!
Hotel looks amazing, although that meal... 🤑🤑 Great room tour too Ollie!
He’s getting so good at them now and he absolutely loves doing them! 😁

Glad you like it! The mountain backdrop is stunning! We really loved Hong Kong, would 100% visit again!
Ollie does better room tours than me by farrrrrr
He LOVES making them!!! 😄
Hotel looks great. Reminds me of Grand Floridian.
It’s very very similar looking!

The food was fab quality and the interactions were incredible! We just don’t spend money like that on our meals usually!
Welcome to HK ❤
Thank you! ☺️
I saw your dollar bill at McGuire’s in Destin Florida 😊
Memorible travel
It is indeed ☺️
£50-60 hotel buffet is quite normal in Hong Kong. They go for more seafood rather than meats hence the prices of buffets are generally higher.
That £60 was the from price… it ended up being £100 per adult 😭

We used Holafly - esim.holafly.com

That will be amazing, have a fab trip! We got the eSIM online from Holafly, it was data only but unlimited and worked great for us.

Are you able to use your bank cards as normal in hong kong or is it still done on alipay?
We used our Halifax Clarity card for all the transactions (or cash) in Hong Kong. Couldn’t get their version of Alipay to work for us.
Hong Kong accepts all major credit cards. Less issues than mainland China.
