I've never heard it called Russell Nook, it's called Koureyabba, we have been anchoring there for years (was there a few days ago) There is also a park opposite on Russell island called "Lions Boulevard Park" that has rubbish bins and a tap for portable water. cold water outdoor shower, kids playground and a dog off leash area, see you on the water

@@TheRudder I would appreciate it if you make a video on how to anchor your boat, do you stay at the helm, how do you measure your scope etc.

Hi Stefan, That is on the list to do, just got to find a good day when we can get the drone up. For us it is usually a two person job with Brooke taking control of the anchor at the bow and me driving the boat to assist. We measure the rode by marking out the anchor chain - th-cam.com/video/Ynqc1iBRTGA/w-d-xo.html
If you do stay at the helm you still need to lift the anchor hatch, the factory anchor will hit is otherwise.

@@TheRudder maybe another video which you might consider, even in bad weather is a video regarding the head. (Any tips on when using the shower, being a wet head, any tips in making it less wet :-), shower space in the 895, any tips or chemicals you use for the black water tank and which system you use to clean it, any maintenance etc) I know it is somewhat an unpleasant subject, but I think it is still important. Thank you for your consideration.

Hi guys, another great vid. You can't beat a sneaky southerly on Moreton. Looking forward to your next video when you install your new Garmin radar :)

Yep those sneaky southerlies are a pain in the arse. Do I need a radar or a stabiliser?? Hahaha

Another great video Damian and Brook.
Lovely anchorage and useful info about wind and tide when you are anchored. Good tip about the track on the Garmin too.
I would like to take this opportunity in thanking you both for all the useful tips and advice you give to 895 owners ( in particular). As I have mentioned previously, I have copied your suggestions on the solar panel and the Victron battery monitor.
If you are interested in viewing my 895? Then it is featured on the « Powerboat Adventures » channel.
If you do view it then, then please let me know what you think?
Looking forward to more of your videos. Best regards

Hi John, I got to watch the video on your 895. Looking great and with all the gear. I like the white bimini on the back, I think it looks better then the grey one. The flexi teak looks good all the way around as well. The victron and solar panels looked very familar, hahaha. Have you had much opportunity to go out? Congrats on getting everything ready for some time on the water.

@@TheRudder Hi you two. thanks for taking the time to view the video. Like your good selves, it is good to share the hints and tips that make the 895 a great boat. Yes we have a lot of trips planned. Although winter boating in the U.K. is very weather dependent. Frequent storms. So it might be next year now before we take Waiwera to explore Dartmouth and Salcombe. Thanks again for all the help your videos have given me.

    Think that’s slipping sands

Slipping sands is just around the corner from here. When we where going fast before the big starboard turn at the beginning is going past slipping sands. Will do an anchorage there soon!
