Hello Shelly. Thanks for sharing your journey with the Kerby Rosanes book. I just started adult coloring earlier this year. I am so happy, I found your channel. I love your color alongs. I am just watching and learning. I love your soothing voice. I enjoyed your completed pages as well. But, I am really enjoying the random picker. I love watching those videos. For some reason, it's taking me a while to get a grasp on this adult coloring. I appreciate you telling me your story about how you didn’t get it at first and then you came back. It doesn't mean quit forever. It gives me hope that even if I don't get it now. That maybe I can get it later. I know I am putting too much pressure on myself. I need to chill. 😂 I am so happy you showed your earlier work. I think even back then that your work was exceptional. You are so brave to tackle double pages so soon in your coloring journey. Also, those pages that your father colored was beautiful as well. I am so glad you have a piece of his artwork to cherish forever. I have about 3 of Kerby Rosanes books and have not colored in any. I think I owe it to myself to try at least one page before I give up. Kerby Rosanes is a great artist and I love his work. However, it can be intimated. Blessings
Thank you so much for sharing. Your early pages are delightful. I particularly love the Kenya rhinoceros - absolutely genius. And I also love the fact that you have some pages coloured by your Dad.
Hi 🐚 your pages a beautiful don’t be embarrassed!!! I think your a natural at coloring ! You get your artistic ability from your dad ! How cool is that ! My mom was an artist so I got my love of art from her. Love seeing your older pages ❤️ thank you for sharing !!!
I'm pretty new to adult coloring and seeing your first few works has been refreshing and fun, I still struggle with my colors but I'm determined my pages will look on paper just like I dream them in my head LoL. Thank you for all your beautiful work
Thank you so much and welcome to the world of adult colouring! I am hope you have many hours of fun with your colouring....keep experimenting with the colours and I am sure you will find your style 🤗💗
Love seeing your older pages thanks for showing Shelly. Yes here in Scotland we have had a few days of rain I am so over the sun at the moment not nice to work in. Hope your still enjoying the creative haven books? Look forward to seeing more updates on these from you, happy colouring Xxx 😉
Thank you so much, so glad you liked seeing my older pages! The rain was good that day for sure! I haven't coloured another page in the creative haven books, although I got hold of home sweet home now too! I will definitely colour a page in them again soon...I am very keen to do another page 🤗💗
I loved seeing your earlier works. To me, they’re vibrant and beautiful. That whole phrase you said, I just colored for fun is so interesting. I think with social media (IG fb and YT) has shown us all the amazing methods and tools we can use but there is something to be said about just coloring. Love your works!!!!!
Thank you so much!! Glad you like my work 🤩 I totally agree with you...nothing beats good old relaxed colouring to clear the mind and destress. But it has definitely been fun learning new tips and tricks too 🤗💗
You are an extraordinary colorist! Such beautiful pages!! Also, I loved your Animorphia pages! You were good back then, took, but you've defnitely honed your skills, no doubt! Stellar work!
I love that you shared your older pages because a lot of people who are just starting out in coloring can feel very intimated by seeing great colorist's amazing work and not realize we all start somewhere... and to be fair, you may judge your old pages very harshly but they're actually still wonderful and impressive. I actually *love* the flag of Kenya spread you did... maybe you should do something like that again with the skills you have now, to highlight how much your skills have improved! I love that your dad colored with you! My sibling and I used to take coloring books camping and color together while enjoying the peace of the forest. We just colored casually without trying to do anything artistic back then, but it was so fun and relaxing. It makes me think I should get some supplies and coloring books for friends and family to do while we visit each other. (Like you there are definitely books I wouldn't just hand over to other people, now, haha).
Thank you so much, I am so glad you enjoyed seeing my earlier colourings. You are absolutely right, unless you are an artist, the pages don't always turn out great at the start of the journey.....but you learn so much as you continue to colour and find out what kind of colouring and results you enjoy. The main thing is to just have fun and enjoy the process. Keep it a hobby and we should not put unnecessary stress on ourselves! It is so amazing that you coloured with your sibling! It is a great idea to have some supplies and books you don't mind sharing with others. It can always be a fun activity to do with family and friends while spending time with each other. Hopefully one day I can do the same but with my son.....he is only 3 years old, so he knows my books are off limits right now! 😂💗
Hi Karen, thank you so much! Glad you could see some talent in my first page 🤗💗 And thank you for your beautiful colour alongs!! That is what got me started in Worlds within Worlds and got my started on my colouring journey 🤩

Hi Shelly, OMG so weird, as WWW was the 1st colouring book I bought which kicked off my Colouring Journey in May 2021 (just 12 month after you lol). I only ever coloured in this book until October 21, when I stopped colouring due to health issues and moving house. I’m now settled in my new home and in June I restarted my colouring in a couple other Kerby books. I’m now back on WWW and hoping to complete this book before New Years Eve this year. I loved your video as it shows that everyone starts somewhere and it’s amazing to look back on and see how far you’ve come. Thanks for showing your Kerby pages, his new book Mythic Worls is so good I’m sure you’d love it. If you fancy a Buddy Colour on the Clock page in WWW I’d be honoured to join you, as I’ve not coloured that page yet. Hope to see you colouring more Kerby pages in the future, Cheers Ness xx
Hi Vanessa, it so great to hear that someone got started on Kerby books too 😂 Don't hear that often (it's usually Johanna Basford or Millie Marotta books!). The artwork in Mythic Worlds is beautiful! but unfortunately I don't think the topic is my cup of tea sadly 😔I was really looking forward to having another Kerby book! I am so sorry that you colouring needed to stop due to health issues and life, but I am so glad to hear you are getting back into it. I will keep that page in mind, not sure when I will manage to get round to it as I feel like I am really slow with my colouring at the moment, although I have marked it as a possible page to do......hopefully soon! 🤗💗
Hi Vanessa, Hope you are doing well. I think I am going to attempt colouring the clock page from WWW this month (time permitting) so if you decide you want to buddy colour, let me know!! Also, I was asked by someone else to for the same page 😂💗

Beautiful work in Worlds Witjin Worlds. I notice that there is not a lot of crinkle in the paged. Is that because the paper quality or do you use the palate then apply to paper when using them wet?
Thank you so much 🤗💗 I think the paper quality is definitely good. But I also use the pencils directly on the paper and then activate them with water, but I don't tend to use too much water usually.
Your colouring looks nice. Did you use a sealant on the page after it's complete. I'm wondering how the soft pastels hasn't rubbed off on the other page?
Shel, how did you get the yellow color in the middle of the bee? In my book, it is a dark area whereas the front and rear areas were left light enough to get that good yellow color. You said you used soft pastels for the body of the bee, not sure what that looks like to do it myself. Did the use of a bright yellow pastel make the middle area light enough to stand out as you did? Really beautiful. TIA
Ooh, yes i did not do anything special to be honest. The middle of the bee had heavy line art which made it look quite dark. But by making either side of it really dar to make the dark brown/black bands, tricks the eye into think it was a lighter area. And then I used soft pastel to base and then used pencils. I think it helped that either side of it was the dark bands. If you have paint pens, you could use them over top to lighten the dark lines in that area to help with the yellow standing out more? Hope this helps, sorry for the late response 🤗💗
The coloring is beautiful, but mostly I wanted to comment that you have such pretty hands!
Thank you so much 😂💗

Thank you so much! Yes, I always use a workable fixative when using soft pastels (Winsor and newton) 💗

I love your pictures. You make me feel inadequate with all that how horrible your pictures are. I might as well give up but I won’t
