This song gives me a reason to keep fighting my ms and hope for a cure. It helps not just those who are addicted or depressed, it also helps those of us who are fighting against diseases that are slowly tsking over our bodies, bit by bit. Thank you Disturbed, for giving me a reason to fight against my ms! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for your reaction. Yes, it was more physical than verbal, but that also made it more meaningful. We need this humanity, or sensitivity, or caring.
I’m 62 and have survived 3 suicide attempts, undiagnosed mental illness, 10 yrs meth addiction, clean 15 yrs. Diagnosed bipolar type 2 at 54. The only reason I’m here to write this is because of the support of my family. I sob every time I listen to this song.
It takes great strength to say that to people you know, let alone say it on the internet. May Frigg give you patience with the world, and may Eir help you heal.
This is so important for people to see. The song itself is powerful, but these testimonials over the music makes it one of the most powerful music videos I've ever seen.
You're right. This song does not have enough attention. It's a shame too, this song could be a big hit on pop stations if they'd be ballsy enough to put Disturbed on there.
I haven't had it go as far as an attempt, but I was very close to that point when a teacher at the college I was taking classes at stopped her class to come find me because she noticed I had come to class and was normally early every day and all of the sudden stopped going. She looked around the whole campus that day. She found me and immediately changed her whole day to help me and take me to someone she knew in counseling for me to talk to. It is possible to beat these demons in the fight. It IS possible to win because I have done so. For anyone who sees this know that people care that you may not even know or even know they care, but those who care are out there. There is ALWAYS a reason to fight. Please don't feel ashamed or embarrassed.
I just can't wait to see them live in July - this song hits me super hard - being in a place where I attempted suicide many times or cut myself to hide the emotional pain - Diagnosed with Depression and GAD 4 years ago - Great reaction
The battle sucks. This video is beautiful. I had to ask my children if they thought it was hypocritical for me to be pushing a video about asking for help when I wasn't able to. I just hope it helps at least one person ask for help. I'm seeing them live for the first time in July in Utah. Super excited!
As of writing this i am in active addiction. Thats all i have to say, it doesn't actually get better. You just bounce from one bad thing to a DIFFERENT bad thing.
I almost committed suicide once, back in the day. And I didn’t know about this band, or even, anything about this song, until later on in my life. But this song, brings me back, to when and why, I almost committed suicide myself back in the day, and it reminded me, what is more important in life. And remember, like the message behind this song, none of us, are alone, at all. If anyone wants to either call or text me, to hear my story, then I will tell you, the reasons behind my story, of suicidal thoughts.
