I completely agree. People make fun of this band, but the fact is that the whole album was great. Absolutely love "Spaceman" and "Drifting."
Linda Perry (as many know) also went on to be an amazing successful music producer and songwriter for other artists. But something a lot of people don't know is she also had a post-Blondes solo album called "In Flight" which is also great. (Though it's moodier than "Bigger, Better.")

When I hear Linda Perry, I can't help thinking of Toronto's singer/songwriter Amanda Marshall... girls of the 90's... power voices. Man, sounds of my youth. I saw them perform this tune in a 10'x10' radio studio, where the morning radio "personality" would openly invite anyone who could get there early enough could hang out, have some morning coffee, and just relax during that "wake-up period" (which I did very often on my way into work). I was pretty much their age at the time, and we sort of all associated with each other. There was a kind of odd kinship there, in the foggy early mornings in San Francisco of the era. Damn, I feel old sometimes...

Indoor roller skating was actually at it's peak in the late 70s/early 80s. Certain songs were known as "roller skating songs" because they would always be played, usually disco or even metal songs, but the biggest roller skating song of them all was actually Stairway To Heaven, which was invariably the last song of the night. Then came inline skates which made outdoor skating more practical, not to mention the disco floors being taken over by break dancing which not as many could participate in, and Indoor roller skating went into decline.

Pink stayed with her for a while and that is when ... Get The Party Started ...was written and the beginning of Linda's 2nd life in the industry. She premiered a song Called ...Letter to God ...on "The Talk " with Sara Gilbert... She had them in tears.

I can't believe you started talking about roller blades. The one and only reason that I know and love this song is because I grew up in small town Kansas. We had 2 things to do on the weekend if you were under 18. We had a movie theater and we had a roller skating rink and the roller skating rink was open on Friday nights. I had my birthday party there and got my first pair of roller blades. I Got into and lost my first fight there, That's where I first kissed a girl and a few weeks later where I first made out with a girl. And this song more than any other that I have found Reminds me of that skating rink because they played it every time it was open. They stayed open until 1 AM on New Year's Every year. My brother knew the owner and 1 year after we left on New Year's we were driving home and my brother dropped the bomb that that was the last time the skating rink was going to be open. I had no warning whatsoever. I cried. And I am not ashamed to say it. I loved that place.

I go to a local Flea Market and there are two young girls who show up often in some of the most interesting looks. Also a man in his 40 or 50"s with a Top Hat with goggles. Steampunk Festivals are still very popular. You find some amazingly creative looks at one.

4 Non Blondes - What's Up!... Linda Perry... She has written some greats songs. ...Christina Aguilera - Beautiful (Official HD Video)..is one & ..Pink's .. Get the Party Started... is another. Interesting story behind it all. And I see a little of it in the comment section.

Linda is more known for her songwriting. I know she wrote with Pink and some other great artists that are escaping my brain at the moment lol.
    I love this song.

Perry wrote "Get This Party Started" for Pink (Madonna passed on the song). Beautiful, which Christina Aguilera had a hit with.
Among others; Gwen Stefani, Dixie Chicks, Alicia Keys, Adele, Weezer...

This song was huge back then. The entire CD was also very good, but this was really their only big hit. I was in my early 20's when this song hit and like you two, it immediately takes you back to when you either first heard it or when it was regularly played. To this day, this song is still great.

If you get a chance, try to catch 4 Non Blondes cover of Led Zeppelin’s “misty mountain hop”
They did it for the Zeppelin tribute album “Encomium” and it’s the best thing on there !

Great all-girl band for San Francisco, fun scenes of the city. Their look is steampunk, a lesser-known genre with a definite style.
