    The Heli will not apply negative pitch like you mention until you're in Idle up...when in normal mode it still flies like a collective pitch Heli. Nice review tho, lovely heli 😊

    The new toys are great, I learned to fly helis in the late 70's. 5 ft rotor with a 2hp nitro engine would take your head off if it malfunctioned and came at you. Still today the linkages are just as delicate and one bonk and the repair bill is great. That's why I just love my quads.

    • @yzScott

      "Still today the linkages are just as delicate and one bonk and the repair bill is great."
      Not at all. First off, the flybar is gone. And then going further to DFC reduces the parts count further.
      I've crashed my M2 V2 quite a number of times now. I've replaced feathering shaft, but zero head parts or linkages.
      Rarely do I need to replace head parts or linkages in minor crashes all the up to my TREX 800. It is night and day difference just compared to the early 2000s, let alone 1970s. The designs are really built to be crashed with a minimum possible repair bill. It makes a huge difference.
      The 800 make a peak of 14 HP, btw.

    Hi Steve! Thanks for your review. There might be an M1 in my future! I just picked up a barely used M2v2 and I've been setting up different versions on my RM TX16S. The OMP flight controller uses OMP's own protocol, which has been supported by the Multi-Module since v1.3.1.59. There are videos showing setups that mimic OMP's Tx. However, you can connect a satellite Rx from Spektrum (via the DSM/X port on the FC) or Futaba or other SBUS Rx (via the SBUS port) to use those protocols. BTW, your T6 Tx illustration is for Mode 1. No biggie!

    It's not that you don't know how to fly 3d.. hovering a cp helicopter is like taking a ride on a bike..you have a balance you learned when you started..it's not hard but it's necessary ,or you will fall if you didn't have that balance..but if you fly drones in acro,you are already half way there you can't feel the balance but it's a eye finger muscle memory

      8 min flying time is also impressive as they have a small battery...

    was thinking about getting my dad one of these WITH the radio you have here. since i do not seem to be able to find the heli bundled with the radio, i assume you have to buy both separate and bind them?
    then, in terms of set up, for stability mode, stunt modes, etc- does that all just automatically get set up when you bind to the stock OMP radio shown here? or do you have to program it somehow?

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798

Takes away some of the fun because it's too small and hard to see. I would not recommend it for a beginner or anyone just because of its size. Small is not a good thing …

THANKS

    • @chrisbee5481
      @chrisbee5481 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anton. The T-Lite will not bind to any of those. You could get it to work with the TBS Crossfire, but you'd have to spend extra cash to purchase a crossfire unit for the T-Lite... not worth it for a newbie. If you wish to use the T-Lite radio as a beginner it would be best to find a drone that has an FRSKY XM+ receiver in it. Then you can watch my FPV FOR BEGINNERS episode #9 which shows how to setup your radio and bind it to the drone.

    • @stevejohnston8543
      @stevejohnston8543 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ matterh Well for me personally (and I’m sure for others) it’s FAR more challenging to fly a CP heli than a drone. I’m still learning to do nice tight circuits…mostly from relying on stability for far too long. I kind of feel like I’m im a select group of people who even attempt to master these things, hence why they’re nowhere near as common as other RC vehicles. Our hobby shop in town only has a few helis while they have loads of trucks and cars….but hey they’re easy in comparison, even fixed wing planes are considerably easier. Also being a bit of a masochist helps in terms of crashing and repairing.
