Thanks a lot. I do like Perry's late medieval figures. They paint up really well.

Thanks - deploying an army is the best way to view it and you need space to set it up.

Thank you. It came together quite nicely I think and it has motivated me to try a few more 28mm figures.

Thank you. My favorite army! I have many a fight with my Burgundian vs French Ordonnance. (Nowhere near as nice as yours!) Recently with Pacto, but usually with Impetus. Will try out Magna soon though after seeing this video.

I've not tried Pacto myself. However I recently watched Pacto being used at a campaign weekend and it seemed to give a fast and enjoyable game. I like the Magna variant for 28mm. Units can be brittle and things can go wrong quickly!

Excellent presentation and talk through of the rules and competition. I wish more and channels were like this. I am trying to kick start my army painting and video posting again!. I've not embarked on 25mms as I love the look of the smaller scales as representing armies in battles in a average table top.Good luck going forward..pAtiently for posting.

Thank you. Good luck getting your painting and videoing mojo back. I agree smaller scales have a lot to offer and they can give the feel of deploying and manoeuvring really large armies. And for me when they are coupled with good terrain they can be every bit as visually impressive as the bigger toys. It's difficult to get table space for big 28mm armies but there are some excellent figures available today and seeing these on a gaming table can be special.

Excellent work as always Gareth. It seems MeG are your "go to" rules now rather than L'Art, I would be interested to hear your thoughts on why you like MeG - I've never played or even watched a game. Sorry to hear of your troubles, hopefully getting better. Life has not been kind to myself the last 6 months or so. Look after yourself first and only produce video when you feel you can/really want to.. Cheers.

Thank you. I'm sorry to hear that you have had troubles. You are right MeG are currently my rules of choice for the ancient period. I took some time to get here though. I tried AdlG and quite enjoyed the game but was not wow'd by it. I know a lot of people really like it and that's good. For me AdlG armies are too small and don't give me the sense of a big battle . I think It lacks visual appeal. I didn't get MeG right away. I tried it when it first came out and struggled with several aspects. There was a lot of intrusive clutter on the table which damaged the visual appeal. The turn order sequence felt odd with combat divided between the 'charge' phase and the 'melee' phase, not in itself unusual, but these are separated in the sequence by shooting which comes before the movement phase. However since those early days the rules have been tightened up, steps have been made to stop the cards or tokens used in the game from being too distracting and I have learnt that the turn sequence allows for some important features to be incorporated. And the forces are big enough to feel and look like an army
