Great tutorial. Thanks for the clear and concise walkthrough.
Great tutorial. This is going to be a fun tool to play around with - and long overdue. Thanks.
this is one of those times when nodes are just a pain in the butt tbh - still I watched just because ur voice is so relaxing ;)
Indeed!
so well done and easy to follow. :))
Thanks for your tutorial
Great, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks. its super useful
Thanks so much!
Great !
Thanks
Thank you too!
Thanks. I didn't know DaVinci also animated like After Effects. Its pretty cool. I always move the anchor point to the center, if I want the object to move based on the middle point, otherwise, the middle base of the object. Maybe this is why the new object was in the "wrong position".
The words helpful is not enough to describe this video.
So so nice to hear it!
When I heard there was version 18.6 it's the first feature I saw. It's about time because the Krokodrove node didn't work in all versions. Now we have tons of possibilities to create 3D shapes also using the boolean node to subtract or add polygons and then extrude them. A big change.
Yes! Finally something we were all waiting for!
@@colorgradinginsights Yes, there are also many other things, but I like Fusion and I couldn't stand this lack. Thanks for your videos
Exactly what i was looking for. Thank you! …Rowby.

This is an excellent video. Thank you for sharing this. I am new to DaVinci and struggle a bit with certain things. My question is this: how do you zoom in/out in the 3d environment? How does this work? Thank you.
Your explanation is beyond well done as always, but let's be honest, anyone could make this 3D logo using Blender with way less effort.
I was gonna say, Blackmagic has done nothing innovative with Fusion. Just started learning Blender, it's a lot more friendly than I expected.
Probably just for people who don’t want to switch between programs.
😂Exactly what I wanted to say
You can also do this in Sketchup with 3 or 4 clicks.
U can make video : Influence of colors on human emotions and how to control it ?
Have you seen that the material can be inserted into the Extrude3D node? But I didn't understand what the pink material bevel input is for because using it you don't see any changes. I thought it was a kind of depth map of the material with which to wrinkle the material. Thank you.
No, now everything works, it's an input of the material for the bevel, who knows why it didn't work at first.
I can explain you why SVG is offset when brought in
I like the new intro.
Thanks!
I love your voice, mam🙏
Thanks!

👏👏👏 😘
and what about the Logo in the form of an inscription, which you often have to work with (for example, SMART)?
If the option is not individually, but to group everything and make a 3D shape extrusion to the group?
Have never worked with this format! I hope that someone else may have the answer!
Can one bring in blender files?
You have to create a scene in Blender first and export that scene as an FBX, then bring it into Fusion.
@@Alanwking thank you, I'll give it a go. See what comes of it.
Great tutorial, but my head hurts at how much you have to do just to get a logo in 3d. I'll stick to other apps.
Yes, 3D is a weakness in Fusion, but after all it is a video editor, and much better at video than Blender. The Blender coders should develop more on the video side (and fix their interface) and they would have the best Video Editor out there..
3D workspace is not a weakness at all, as a matter of fact it's the best thing about Fusion. Once you get to know shaders, modifiers, expressions and other stuff it's quite powerful. Lots of 3D motion graphics as well as animated stuff can be done right inside Fusion. You will never learn this stuff on TH-cam as you shouldn't learn anything off TH-cam cause 85% of the stuff posted is completely wrong, this tutorial included. You don't make 3D logo like that, you can actually use projection if you want to texture any 3D shape with a 2D sticker like she did by draggin axis handles manually and so on (she could have connected XY of 3D shape with image plane and offset the Z instead of manually dragging the handles). Proper way would be to make a displacement map inside the Fusion out of 2D Resolve logo image and turn flat surface into 3D that way. Adding thickness to 3D shape was always an option inside Fusion since forever and you dont need extrude node at all.
Nobody is going to use this feature. It's a joke....
