been playing support veigar since he got changed :) last hitting kills doesnt matter bc they changed his passive to give him the full 5 stacks for an assist in like season 8!
How about building lucidity boots, locket, frozen heart and archangels and late game abyssal mask? You would be tanky, have lots of mana and cdr and use the mana to get ap from archangels.
@@HappyChimeNoises cost is a problem yes especially since this is support veigar but this build doesn't really differ much from the one shown in the video early game. You still get lucid. boots and locket and just get a tear somewhere in there which is also helpful for early mana issues. This might be your full build some games but then you would go in to frozen heart which is a super cheap tank item with great stats for veigar. And only after this would I build archangels if the game goes that far. So early game is very similar but just goes a little different route later that gives more CDR and mana and ap.
@@rasmustikka1505 The point about this build is that 2nd item is adaptative. Frozen Heart is strictly Armor. Yes, it combo well, but no, it won't work everytime.
This is similar to the build I've been using. Locket, Lucidity, Cosmic Drive, Frozen Heart, Abyssal. Normally end the game with the first three with some resistance part of the last two by need. The CDR and movespeed on Cosmic feel so good.
I've tried this build for about 30 games or so. The big secret to this being effective is patience and waiting for the enemy to ask you to put the cuck cage around them. I like to take w second since I noticed a problem trying to get q to hit since the enemy is often behind minions so w just makes it easier to stack early. Taking w takes a lot more mana than q and you're quite dependent on it so you should consider mana flow or busicuts as secondary runes. I really like busicuts for the sustain. Team fights are where you really shine because of your crazy cc and aoe plus the more you hit the more you stack so that's the best place to become stronger so I don't like to split push. I would strongly consider abyssal mask 2nd item since you're so cc dependent and it might help make your under fed teemates a little bit more useful. Being as tanky as you are peeling for your adc is very important since many players see veigar and run at him since you shouldn't be greeding for kills its usually better for you to peel and waist some of their time by ccing them and being tanky than to just run away and let your adc die. You will almost always be more effective than the enemy support since you provide 3 different roles cc, tank, and damage. You should have pretty low but higher than a regular tank support until about 25 minutes where after a few team fights you should have loads of stacks and even more than mid lane veigar as you get to land more spells on the enemy since you live longer. That said something like a fed nasus will be stronger than you. For some reason most of the games I lost the mid AND top laners went 0/7 and it made it pretty hard to win. But if your team loses but doesn't int you have a pretty high chance at winning.
veigar tank has existed for 5 years already. its pretty common in arams when you got no other frontline. main reason is its infinite stacking, you could build whatever but as long as you stack your passive, you easily end up with 400 or more ap even with no ap items. best way to counter it is ignoring him (if you are a dmg dealer) and kill him last or for your tank to keep him in a 1v1 and not lettin him be useful in teamfights, but never hard focus him unless he's exceptionally out of position or he'll just flash out/land one E and then his teammates will follow up.
I've been a Veigar main for 2 full seasons. Building a lot of AP on him doesn't make much sense, so I've always been going for a Bruiser-ish build. Core items always being Rabadon's Deathcap and Dead Man's Plate. It's honestly hilarious how much damage you can still dish out, while being so hard to kill

Veegar looking kinda appealing as a tank
We need a video of all 5 lanes playing some wack off meta sh*t.
This video has gotten so popular that I've had people flame me for playing Veigar ADC, angry that I would pick a "support" champ for a "damage" role. . .
one day darius support with predator and turbo chem tank will reach masters
but i love these videos of champions in different roles.
I actually did this in urf, I think it was fun, u deal damage and tank, love it
