Thank you so much for not only showing us the yarn, but also showing us other ways we can use it. Always appreciate you and everything you do for this community, Juan!
Glenda at Creative Grandma does yarn reviews with swatching, but I like that you not only worked up the yarn for it's intended purpose, but showed what it would look like in other uses. I don't see me trying to fit my stitching into the gauge necessary to successfully make the flower square. Too much stress and fiddling around to make it enjoyable!😂 Currently I'm making a blanket for my 3 year old great nephew from bright neon colors of Herrschner's worsted. It's so soft. Having fun making random color and pattern decisions. Won't be a work of art, but it will be warm and colorful 😂
I agree with you about crocheting being a wind-down activity. I can use that type of yarn for other projects, but not for motifs. Thanks for your review 👍
Hi Juan. All i can say is interesting. I may buy thiae and the square ones but not to use as they're meant for. I'd get too aggravated trying to get it just right. 😊
Hola, I agree with you. I don't want to crochet just a flower or granny squares. I like stress free and out of the box projrcts. I use the granny squares yarns and crochet using the modern granny pattern. Love the way it came out and I use three skeins to make a wheelchair lap throw to donate.
Hi Juan and right now I am working on my cottage core mosaic blanket and granny squares blanket and butterfly mosaic blanket and granny squares for boggy creek and I love your channel and your videos and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them and what is your favorite crochet project to work on right now and favorite types of yarn to used when crocheting and keep up the great work on your TH-cam channel and keep up the great work on your crochet projects
Hi Juan, I thought your stash motif was better than flower power. However, I really liked the regular granny In the flower power... Go figure ☺️ Thanks for the demo, you're the best!
Even if they are not working out yet, it is excellent that yarn companies are attempting to make self-patterning yarns. They have been doing this for years for knitting. Hopefully, as the years go by, they will get better.
I am very excited about this video; Creative Grandma has been showing swatches of yarn in various patterns and it helps me ❤❤plan projects. Share more of them with us, please.
As crochet is my happy place…stress is absolutely not invited to participate. Therefore this novelty yarn would never be purchased for the intended purpose. I would purchase on sale to use in an other ways. As always, thanks Juan for your in depth review!!! Stay safe and be blessed ❤
Though the concept is nice, I do not think that I would make the flower motifs either. I really loved how the C2C square came out and I can see sewing the squares together with the starting colours pointing to the center to get a secondary design in the final blanket. TFS! ❤
I concur with everything you just said. Great concept behind the idea of the yarn just not good for everyone across the board with all our different tensions and what not. Great Review!!! 💜💜💜
Thanks for working with this yarn to show us the possible difference in using it other than the flower motif. This would not be worth the stress for me to make the flower motif I’d rather sew in ends!
Glad to know your information. I bought several of the granny square yarn and never attempted to make the squares, I just used the yarn for boggy blankets
Hi Juan, Nice yarn review. I haven't used Granny Square yarn for Granny squares. And probably not this one for motifs. But I'd agree with you I'd do something else with it.
I worked up the Marigold. I was able to do the center and next round with an I but had to change to an H to work the rest of the rounds without trouble or overlapping. I'm not sure I would work up very many as I don't care for joining squares, but maybe a baby blanket. Thanks for sharing!
Juan, I so get what you mean about the yarn. Its a nice idea, but i could see me having to change hooks, trying to make it work. I do see where it would be pretty in other projects, though.
I do love those flower motifs! A blanket with all the colors would be dreamy. I also like where the color bleeds over. Maybe I'm weird, but I've always liked that. Thank you for the wonderful review, Juan 💜💜💓
Hello Juan. It’s me again-Melanie The Fluffy Tote Bag Girl. Hope your day is going well. I totally love your videos and I am thrilled to be a crochet buddy of yours while watching. Hurray! I want to let you know that I have sent a blanket to your location. I did not include a card or note so I’m sending this message as a notification of how wonderful this drive is. Since you’ve joined, it has become so much more interesting with having the dynamic of a man involved. My blanket is made out of blanket yarn by Big Twist. I wanted to include a blanket that was really warm for the children who might live in areas that have long cold winters and they can have this blanket to keep them warm and they can remember their time at Boggy Creek Camp with warmth and joy. Keep an eye out because I have more blankets to send. Say Hello to Mom for me. You never know how long you will have time with her so enjoy all the experiences and happiness. I lost mine in 2020. Anyway keep being an awesome inspiration and influence to all of us in the crochet community. Thanks.❤❤❤❤😊😊
I've bought several skeins of this red heart flower power. Today I worked with the wisteria colored skein. I separated the skein into 12 parts (as per the label) and weighed and measured each color before working up. I found most of the 12 parts were either 19 or 20 grams a piece; one was only 14 grams!!! I measured each color and compared them. The first color was generally 60 to 64 inches but the second color varied by as much as 20 inches (360 inches up to 380 inches) This disparity can not be adjusted with gauge!!! After I work each of the 12 parts into squares I'll measure what is left of the third color. I'd like to put my findings on the yarn inspirations website! Best of luck!
Thank you very much for showing the flower squares (I preferred your stash flower) as well as something different. I was wondering if there was enough of the lesser colors in this yarn to do something else and I see that there is. Thanks again.
Good review, Juan. I have one skein of the all in one granny squares, and had the same reaction as you did with the flower power-anxiety. I made 2 granny’s and stopped. I’ll make a hat-someday. I do still want to try the flower power yarn, cuz all those pretty COLORS, so cool, maybe I’ll make a scarf. We’ll see. Waiting for Joann’s to get some in -and have a sale. 😊
I bought the color way that looks like a daisy in a field. I think it may be named Field. I am going to do a granny of one color. This looks like it may be easier to make than the other all in one granny square. I had my DD, almond spice with a bagel and maple bacon. I also bought munchkins to celebrate Halloween! I'm too close to that store!!! Thanks for trying it out for us!
Thanks Juan for sharing this video about that yarn. I was in Joanna last week and saw red heart yarn the same ones I hold the yarn saw the details. I said to myself no put it back this is not for me because sometimes I stitch tight and sometimes lose. I was interested but I said no 😅
I think I’d like to take a whack at this yarn. I made the all in one granny work. The more I did it the better/easier it was. Although I didn’t follow their pattern. I did a seamless granny. I’m going to fiddle with it. Not a fan of changing colors in grannies. Blankets is different as it usually at end of a row. I notice that dark purple did bleed on my granny square yarn. So we shall see. Thanks for doing this!! 🎉🎉🎉
I have found a lot of yarns with color transfer issues. And some of the Pioneer Woman yarns leave dye on my hands and I have to use color catchers when I wash the projects. Ugh
Thank you for all your effort in demonstrating this yarn. I’m not a fan of this yarn. I don’t like the pattern of the flower motif and I noticed your tension was very loose with the J hook. I wish you would have just done a sample using the pattern and hook suggestion. Love your channel!
Im not interested in the RH flower yarn. The stitch that is suggested mskes the granny squares way to flimsy. Not a good yarn to use as intended. But, i have used it in other i patterns, just like the granny square yarn that RH brought to the table last year. Great video Juan
I think the red might bleed in laundering. I'd be interested how they wash even if it's swishing them around your sink. Putting red with white makes me go hmm because I know reds tends to get on other things if not washed first.
😂 thanks for seeing, touching and playing with it so my budget doesn’t take the hit 😂😂😂. I will not be buying it because don’t want to fiddle with the tension, gauge and stuff.
You know something what about butterflies I did not like the two that you made they don't look good for some reason I'm thinking the butterfly are the pansy nice for you to show us thank you
HI JUAN❤

Hi friend, good to see you as always. 🧶💜🧶💜🧶
Great concept with the granny and flower motif but I would not have the patience for it. Thanks for reviewing! Great information 👍🏻😊
Can't wait to get it! I have a ton of the All-In-One granny squares made and will combine them with the flowers into a fabulous blanket (I hope). 😉
Love it in that corner to corner stitch!
Hi Juan 💜 the colors
I love seeing yarn used in manners it was not intended. The flower motifs are very nice. Using the yarn in other projects is such fun. Thank you.
I love using yarn the wrong way! I'm just bad that way...lol
Hi Juan. All i can say is interesting. I may buy thiae and the square ones but not to use as they're meant for. I'd get too aggravated trying to get it just right. 😊

I love that yarn and I love the way you worked it up all of the way you worked it at you are awesome Juan
Hi Juan, thanks for the review 💜
Thank you.❤

Thank you again
Hi 👋 Juan
I totally agree, I bought the granny square one just to make something else.
Great review. Love you did different designs with it. 💚💙♥️🩷🖤💜🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
Nice to see it worked in many ways!
The c2c looked really good. Make 4 and put them together with the orange touching (diamond) Just thinkin’ 😀💜💜💜💜
I want to see how this yarn works up
Thank you for an honest, thorough yet concise review. 💜🤟
As crochet is my happy place…stress is absolutely not invited to participate. Therefore this novelty yarn would never be purchased for the intended purpose. I would purchase on sale to use in an other ways. As always, thanks Juan for your in depth review!!! Stay safe and be blessed ❤
If i got this yarn or the other granny one, i would probably just crochet back and forth with it for a blanket.
Thanks
Though the concept is nice, I do not think that I would make the flower motifs either. I really loved how the C2C square came out and I can see sewing the squares together with the starting colours pointing to the center to get a secondary design in the final blanket. TFS! ❤
Hi Juan my crochet buddy 🤗
Love all the yarn 🧶
Wishing you a yarntastic day 💜
Greetings Manuela aka Lady Crochet 🧶
Thank you for the review. Don’t know if I’ll purchase this yarn. There are so many others I want to buy before this one.🥰
Thank You for the review.
Hi Juan! I love the color combinations but would not prefer the stress. I think the C2C squares would be my desired choice from seeing the options ❤
I concur with everything you just said. Great concept behind the idea of the yarn just not good for everyone across the board with all our different tensions and what not. Great Review!!! 💜💜💜
I liked the C2C
I like the stash flower best.
Thanks for working with this yarn to show us the possible difference in using it other than the flower motif. This would not be worth the stress for me to make the flower motif I’d rather sew in ends!
Be great for interesting boggy
creek blankets
Glad to know your information. I bought several of the granny square yarn and never attempted to make the squares, I just used the yarn for boggy blankets
Hi Juan, Nice yarn review. I haven't used Granny Square yarn for Granny squares. And probably not this one for motifs. But I'd agree with you I'd do something else with it.

Thank you for sharing. I haven't seen that yard yet.
Good to know about this yarn. I Have been looking forward to your review. Thank you.
So glad you made this video with options ❤❤🎉

Hi Juan. Working on a granny square blanket.

C2C looks great I'd use that or just use like other varigated yarns, maybe doing some mile a minute panels would be nice

This would really go good for a pansy especially the purple one and the yellow one would be beautiful on a pansy
Yes the anxiety is real but I would also just use it for blankets.😊
Thank you Juan for your review. Shaking my head Red heart ♥️
Love the yarn.Have a magical day🧶👍✌️🤟🙂🌹💜♥️
Good 😊 to see you Juan, I look forward to seeing how your flowers 💐 turn out. I’m watching while working on week 3 of the CAL
I agree. Thinking it would be great without the flower
I definitely that yarn would make a great regular blanket versus making squares with it.
Tyfs
💜 Thank you Juan 💜💯 great información. Blessings to you and your mom😊
Wow Juan the yarns are gorgeous I wish I was in America to get them nothing like that here.colours are fantastic.thank u Juan for doing the video.💝💝
This is one of those yarns that I will wait to purchase when it goes on clearance! Thank you for showing them to us though!!!
Thanks Juan for sharing this video about that yarn. I was in Joanna last week and saw red heart yarn the same ones I hold the yarn saw the details. I said to myself no put it back this is not for me because sometimes I stitch tight and sometimes lose. I was interested but I said no 😅
And it was on sale for 6.99
✨hmmmm. I really like your granny square version. This was a fantastic video! Informative.
Thank you for showing that I will wait see if comes in store I like the red
Hi Hi Hi Juan 🤗💜💜💜❤❤❤💜💜💜I like the C2C, looks good.
I love the purple and yellow colorway.
NO WAAYYYY!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Juan. I think these are really cute.
I like the yarn. looks like a speckled with all the color transfer.
Corner to corner is adorable
I really don't care about the flower either. But I would still buy it to do c2c or something else. 😊
This is so interesting! 💜
The colors are pretty in those yarns.
Yeah I’m not sure would use for the flower motif! I like your chevron idea better! Thank you🙏😇
Very interesting!!
I think the yarn is more useful for other projects than flowers.
Hi
😊❤
I have found a lot of yarns with color transfer issues. And some of the Pioneer Woman yarns leave dye on my hands and I have to use color catchers when I wash the projects. Ugh
Maybe a inline hook would help get gauge more accurate??
Hmmmm not sure what I think about the yarn. I'd definitely not use it for flower motifs. I'm not a fan of anxiety when I'm making something.
Did you try knitting the yarn? I'd be curious to see what the pattern would be
Thank you for all your effort in demonstrating this yarn.
You know something what about butterflies I did not like the two that you made they don't look good for some reason I'm thinking the butterfly are the pansy nice for you to show us thank you
The price is depressing ❤
The other all-in-one granny yarn is dearer in NZ. Its $24.99 for one.
The color transfer or discoloration is as bad as on the granny squares. Love the idea but they need to get production issues resolved first.
