Gregg, I love how detailed your explanations are! I got my NT license 18 years ago. Acrylic was my most difficult skill to learn. I failed in my first venture as an NT, mainly due to lack of public interest in professional nail services as well as my clumsy efforts with acrylic, and it shook my confidence. I let my license lapse about 7 years ago as a result. However, I am now living in an area where nail extensions of every kind are quite popular, including acrylic, gels, and dips. Plus, every salon I've visited in the area are all short of NTs and want them badly due to demand, so I've been practicing and re-educating myself mostly through YN videos for the past 3 months. You and your team have shown me where my mistakes were and how to do extensions correctly from the start. I've been able to repeatedly build extensions, both gel and acrylic, onto my practice hand quickly without needing to file for an hour afterward. Awesome! I've also had no lifting issues with my own nails, which I have been doing for the first time in 16 or 17 years with backfills that have no discernable lines, bubbles, or lifting. I am about to renew my license and get a job as an NT with MORE skills than what the local NTs are offering thanks to these videos! Yes, I've been investigating my competitors to check prices and local tastes. I've also been getting compliments from other professionals on my work! It's all thanks to you and your team. You guys are awesome!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! 😃
Gregg....you're the best! I have been following YN for a long time now and you are the one that I have learned the most from! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and passion for acrylic and gel nails. I'm an old school girl.....I remember all the changes the industry has gone through.....and I still prefer acrylic. I would love to see more videos' where the girls are doing acrylics on themselves. It's one thing to do a client, but something totally different when you are doing your own nails. I only do my own and would love to SEE how other people apply acrylic on their own set of nails. Thank you!
Amazing teaching!! Love you guys!! I've learned so much from you guys for years, decades later I'm still learning more. Thanks for your videos and knowledge.

This video was very informative. Best I have seen! I showed it to my students and will absolutely refer to it when teaching acrylics. Thank you!
This was really informative and insightful. I feel like i learn the most when watching your videos. Can you do a demonstration on how to apply acrylic to toenails for beginners? Thanks 🙏
Great video, and thank you for no music!! How do you keep the acrylic from getting too thick? I am new to acrylic, and really appreciate this video. I have ordered your kit, can't wait to try this!
Thank you! I'm not quite sure what you mean by your question. If the acrylic is thicker on the nail than necessary you would just remove the bulk with your e-file once it's set. Was that what you meant?
No, as long as you are using a good brush, you should be able to pick up large and small pearls. We do recommend Greg's Signature Brush as this is great quality and very versatile. www.youngnails.com/products/gregs-signature-brush
