This show needs to go on a hiatus or completely be re-casted. This franchise has not been the same since season five , after season five the group as well as production should have got together and had a meeting with the cast to allow everybody to get their feelings and emotions out on the table and decompress, and the audience needed time to decompress. Instead, bravo, wanting to capitalize off of the hype from Candace and Monique’s fight went right back into filming. Candace especially needed time to decompress. Candace has Bing the punching bag and scapegoat for the viewers as well as her coworkers since season four.
Andy basically told us Karen had no storyline so they brought Charrisse in to create one for her. That means the ladies with no storyline or unwilling to share their lives have no business being cast full time because production is having to create bs storylines. Karen is only interesting when she has an issue with someone. Gizelle and Ashley are only good for drama. Mia has been violent and lies for no reason. Robyn lied and hid her life. They can all go.

I didn't understand the women's reaction when Candice called out Gizelle's privileges. But, they were comfortable when Gizelle insinuated that Chris "did something to her". A lie that could've destroyed his life. It is crazy to me.

I was not a Candiace fan at first...not until this season. In fact, I didn't care for her at all, until this season. I actually liked Robyn and Gizelle , until this season. It all changed for me in one season to a point where I don't want to see Robyn or Gizelle...not both. As for Ashely, meh. As for Mia, I say keep her because we all know she lies about everything but I want to see Jacqueline come full time. Anyway, my point to this was that I am a Candiace fan now and no one is more shocked than me.

It wasn't her pointing out proximity that was alarming. It was her denigrating her color and then cleaning up in the next sentence. Darker skinned people in most societies around the world (even Africa) have historically been marginalized, and oppressed, unless you want to deny or argue with history. What candiace said about Gizelle's "white" skin was simply calling out her privilege, Gizelle can't do the same with Candiace, as darker skinned people are not afforded that privilege. (if she wanted to insult Gizelle's skin like you are claiming, she could have called her skin wrinkling and aging badly). The ONLY thing that made this reunion a little tolerable was watching Candiace and Chris call out Gizelle for her BS. They stayed with their feet on Gizelle's neck and it was well deserved. Those 2 were the real MVPs of the season.

I agree, way too much time was spent on the Karen vs Charisse issue. I also thinks it’s irrelevant whether it was 5 years or 4 years since they have been friends. At the end of the day, Karen doesn’t like her and clearly Charisse doesn’t like Karen either-look at how she was so quick to drag her name through the mud. Chris addressed the Cookie Monster accusation on the Two T’s in a Pod podcast. He said one of the girls in Ashley’s group DM’d him and Candiace and told them the Cookie Monster lied on Chris … she was standing right there and it did not happen the way the Cookie Monster said.

I have the feeling that Wendy, Candiace and their spouses have put their heads together. The way Wendy spoke to Candiace when Candiace went off, was very specific; and Candiace's answer was very specific. Bravo is financing Candiace's music. So, I'm thinking it has something to do with it. Watch again for exactly what Wendy says to her and how she said it. "I want you to think..."

I agree with you 100%! I stopped watching A LOT OF other bloggers because they find any reason to jump down Candiace’s throat. Every since the Monique scandal there’s a group of moldy trolls that are banking on her downfall. Every time they bring up colorism somehow Monique’s name get brought up and they try to justify why they defended Monique vs. Mia. I find that a lot of the people defending Monique have a level of animalistic savagery that they think is ok to display and act out. They don’t understand the concept of using words to fight nor do they understand how a responsible, respectful human being navigates through life. I’m over the low vibrational, disingenuous Monique stans. I understood what Candiace was saying and I agreed with her 100%! Yes Brooke, Wendy pissed me off so bad that I almost stopped watching till the end! What in the world was wrong with her? When Candiace stayed firm on her comment to Giselle, I screamed “Thank you girl!” I didn’t care about anything else but her standing in her truth. I don’t know if Wendy will read it but I have to send her a DM and let her know how ignorant her comment was. I can’t even fathom what made her say that. If they don’t shake up this cast next season, I’ll just be watching your recaps if you decide to do so. I’m done.
To me it seemed like Wendy was trying to protect Candiace, knowing how everyone is going to take what she said and pretend not to understand/say she’s taking it too far/etc etc. I think she’s used to suppressing the way she really feels so she doesn’t make white people uncomfortable (being a commentator). Candiace was absolutely 1000% right though, this whole reunion. The Gizelle’s proximity to whiteness would’ve been a great example during the colorism segment although I know the other girls would’ve still been acting stupid.
Robyn and Giselle were so obsessed with why Karen didn't mess with Charisse, but had the nerve to utter "We're just oil and water and I'm ok with that" and "Same" at Wendy's Burn Brunch. Ohhh, Okk. *in my Karen voice*
I liked Charisse but honestly, she comes across as a stalker. She knows and talks too much about Karen to a point of who gives a fuck. I wouldn't be surprised if the woman knew what brand of toilet paper Karen prefers. She was obsessed with the grand dame.
The saddest thing is giselle's beautiful lovely daughters. Have to sit back and watch their mother make a fool out of herself with these serious terrible allegations. But thank goodness that her daughter don't act nothing like her. Because they seem like smart intelligent young ladies. They are the real role models

What Gizelle did to Chris was heinous. GIZELLE BRYANT IS CAROLYN BRYANT DONHAM 2.0 #TILL. Its no different...except... Chris was not killed over her lie...she compounded the lie as time went on. I feel like Karen doesn't like Charrisse cause she started the blue-eyes convo and she's probs the one who's been giving the GEB tea about Karen since she left. Also if we remember Karen's thing w etiquette in the earlier seasons, I could see her letting Charrisse come to her bday party bc it's the 'mature' thing to do when you have mutual friends and it was only a year after season 2 aired. I get Karen, if someone had come for me and my relationship, and accused me of cheating and tried to make me feel less than cause they think they are the true 'grande dame' and then had the NERVE to show up on the worst day of my life... I would honestly flip out on them at the funeral and never wanna speak to them again, you don't get to rip me on national television for clout then try and be a good friend for me-no.
Agreed taking all this into consideration I think she invited Charisse bc she saw Charisse showing up at the funeral as an olive branch initially but when Charisse was invited back to the show (probably at robyn and Gizelle’s behest) she put two and two together and realized it was just a ceasefire and ChaCha still wanted smoke. Which is why I come back to it’s okay that Karen believes that her showing up to the funeral wasn’t all well intended, because if it was why throw back up in my face when you also know the pain of a parent passing. Some shit isn’t suited for reality tv so to bring reality tv mess to my moms funeral/use it for fodder is disrespectful on top of Charisse genuinely wanting to knock Karen down a peg

This show needs to go on a hiatus or completely be re-casted. This franchise has not been the same since season five , after season five the group as well as production should have got together and had a meeting with the cast to allow everybody to get their feelings and emotions out on the table and decompress, and the audience needed time to decompress. Instead, bravo, wanting to capitalize off of the hype from Candace and Monique’s fight went right back into filming. Candace especially needed time to decompress. Candace has Bing the punching bag and scapegoat for the viewers as well as her coworkers since season four.
They then went on to cast trash, that then brought on pathological lying as another housewife (Mia). Just disgusting!

I was not a Candiace fan at first...not until this season. In fact, I didn't care for her at all, until this season. I actually liked Robyn and Gizelle , until this season. It all changed for me in one season to a point where I don't want to see Robyn or Gizelle...not both. As for Ashely, meh. I am soooo glad the audience can truly see Candiace for who she is. She had been the underdog for years on this show. I took am riding with Candiace until the wheels fall off. It’s a group of women that don’t like or trust one another trying to humiliate an out each other using rumors from blogs or rumors from random people to destroy one another.
It wasn't her pointing out proximity that was alarming. It was her denigrating her color and then cleaning up in the next sentence. We can all pretend that Giselle saying "Candace, you sat there wit yo blaq azs!" to prove a point would've been fine. But we know that's not true. Wendy honored her status as a professor and social commentator when she spoke up.

They don't hold the same weight, like a black person saying whitey and a white person saying blacky. They are not the same because one group has always been marginalized historically. Saying derogatory words towards black people of darker hues carries more weight, ergo false equivalency

Lol its not equivalent to you because you're biased. The point still stands. If she wanted to discuss color issues, she first of all was given an opportunity that she she chose to pass on. Secondly, regardless of if you feel dark skin insults are more or less egregious you shouldn't insult a skin color period because it invalidates your own claims of marginalization and finally Candace is lowkey jealous of Giselle's skin color and wants to replicate it with her stepbrother Chris Bassett
@@trent_king Not really, there is no such thing as reverse racism or reverse marginalization. Darker skinned people in most societies around the world (even Africa) have historically been marginalized, and oppressed, unless you want to deny or argue with history. What candiace said about Gizelle's "white" skin was simply calling out her privilege, Gizelle can't do the same with Candiace, as darker skinned people are not afforded that privilege. (if she wanted to insult Gizelle's skin like you are claiming, she could have called her skin wrinkling and aging badly). Point is, Candiace doesn't have the power to oppress Gizelle, and that is the false equivalency in comparing the two. They are not the same.

I'm definitely woke...Candace use to be my least favorite...but during this season she's turned into my favorite. I love how she stands her ground and means exactly what she says. I love your recaps very detailed and definitely thought provoking.

Wendy didn't drop the ball, she was trying to ground Candiace because while her anger is, justified, she has much to lose. This is why Candiace said "I hear you", that's a friend.

The ONLY thing that made this reunion a little tolerable was watching Candiace and Chris call out Gizelle for her BS. They stayed with their feet on Gizelle's neck and it was well deserved. Those 2 were the real MVPs of the season.
Jacklyn is a big dummy. She complained the whole season that Mia made her feel beneath her only to find out her and Mia made all that up so she could look beneath her?? Whaa? And the fact that they both admitted to making up stories should be reason enough to fire both of them fools.
Brooke, thank you for this honest review!! Candiace was absolutely right and Wendy punked out in supporting her. Wendy opted to go with what she felt was most palatable for the establishment.

I agree, way too much time was spent on the Karen vs Charisse issue. I also thinks it’s irrelevant whether it was 5 years or 4 years since they have been friends. At the end of the day, Karen doesn’t like her and clearly Charisse doesn’t like Karen either-look at how she was so quick to drag her name through the mud. I wish Charisse would have just come back with her own storyline and let us know what’s was going in her life instead of focusing on Karen.

This was after Eddie stated how the rumors could affected his children, family and career.

Chris addressed the Cookie Monster accusation on the Two T’s in a Pod podcast. He said one of the girls in Ashley’s group DM’d him and Candiace and told them the Cookie Monster lied on Chris … she was standing right there and it did not happen the way the Cookie Monster said.

I have the feeling that Wendy, Candiace and their spouses have put their heads together. The way Wendy spoke to Candiace when Candiace went off, was very specific; and Candiace's answer was very specific. Bravo is financing Candiace's music. So, I'm thinking it has something to do with it. Watch again for exactly what Wendy says to her and how she said it. "I want you to think..."
Truly thank you for pushing through and reviewing this part for us. I couldn’t even finish the reunion. I know Bravo has its eye on you so hopefully they take some of your and our comments into account for future seasons.

I agree with you 100%! I stopped watching A LOT OF other bloggers because they find any reason to jump down Candiace’s throat. Every since the Monique scandal there’s a group of moldy trolls that are banking on her downfall. Every time they bring up colorism somehow Monique’s name get brought up and they try to justify why they defended Monique vs. Mia. I find that a lot of the people defending Monique have a level of animalistic savagery that they think is ok to display and act out. They don’t understand the concept of using words to fight nor do they understand how a responsible, respectful human being navigates through life. I’m over the low vibrational, disingenuous Monique stans. I understood what Candiace was saying and I agreed with her 100%! I also understood Wendy was trying let Candiace know to watch her check, but I also thought she could have helped explain what Candiace was trying to say because she knew exactly what Candiace meant. I was disappointed in Wendy too!

I only tuned into the part of the reunion where Chris and Candiace spoke their mind. I bet I wasn't the only one who thought, "Oh man, I can't wait to hear what Brooke has to say!" It was disappointing to see Wendy pile on, and make it about Candiace's reaction to the problem, versus speaking to the problem. Candiance is the MVP for this season. Seeing her and Chris drag Gizzard for filth was a real treat. Notice she was pretty quiet

Yes Brooke, Wendy pissed me off so bad that I almost stopped watching till the end! What in the world was wrong with her? When Candiace stayed firm on her comment to Giselle, I screamed “Thank you girl!” I didn’t care about anything else but her standing in her truth. I don’t know if Wendy will read it but I have to send her a DM and let her know how ignorant her comment was. I can’t even fathom what made her say that. If they don’t shake up this cast next season, I’ll just be watching your recaps if you decide to do so. I’m done.
I would rather Wendy not say anything at all. That would have been better than the only other dark woman disagreeing with Candice.

To me it seemed like Wendy was trying to protect Candiace, knowing how everyone is going to take what she said and pretend not to understand/say she’s taking it too far/etc etc. I think she’s used to suppressing the way she really feels so she doesn’t make white people uncomfortable (being a commentator). Candiace was absolutely 1000% right though, this whole reunion. The Gizelle’s proximity to whiteness would’ve been a great example during the colorism segment although I know the other girls would’ve still been acting stupid.
Robyn and Giselle were so obsessed with why Karen didn't mess with Charisse, but had the nerve to utter "We're just oil and water and I'm ok with that" and "Same" at Wendy's Burn Brunch.

What Gizelle did to Chris was heinous. GIZELLE BRYANT IS CAROLYN BRYANT DONHAM 2.0 #TILL. Its no different...except... Chris was not killed over her lie...she compounded the lie as time went on. She needs to go...she is the liability to everyone on that cast and to Bravo and production. As for Bravo who has keeps this colorism up on this show....they need to be accountable as well...the GEB, Mia, and Ashley can't do these things if they were also held to the same standard.
I feel like Karen doesn't like Charrisse cause she started the blue-eyes convo and she's probs the one who's been giving the GEB tea about Karen since she left. Also if we remember Karen's thing w etiquette in the earlier seasons, I could see her letting Charrisse come to her bday party bc it's the 'mature' thing to do when you have mutual friends and it was only a year after season 2 aired. I get Karen, if someone had come for me and my relationship, and accused me of cheating and tried to make me feel less than cause they think they are the true 'grande dame' and then had the NERVE to show up on the worst day of my life... I would honestly flip out on them at the funeral and never wanna speak to them again, you don't get to rip me on national television for clout then try and be a good friend for me-no.

Agreed taking all this into consideration I think she invited Charisse bc she saw Charisse showing up at the funeral as an olive branch initially but when Charisse was invited back to the show (probably at robyn and Gizelle’s behest) she put two and two together and realized it was just a ceasefire and ChaCha still wanted smoke. Which is why I come back to it’s okay that Karen believes that her showing up to the funeral wasn’t all well intended, because if it was why throw back up in my face when you also know the pain of a parent passing. Some shit isn’t suited for reality tv so to bring reality tv mess to my moms funeral/use it for fodder is disrespectful on top of Charisse genuinely wanting to knock Karen down a peg
