The part about Feng cosplaying a fictional character, we do know that there's other realities where the people in the trial are fictional. Like there being comics of The Trapper.
One fact that isn’t as disturbing as it is kinda sad is that it’s implied that the Entity distorts the perceptions of Her Killers, forcing them to perceive the Survivors as their enemies in life in order to drive them to Kill. The only one I can remember right now is Deathslinger, which might actually explain his eye color. Especially taking into consideration his lore, in which he refuses to be manipulated and yet keeps getting played anyway, it’s just very tragic to me. As for Susie... she preffered being masked, since her cheerleader cosmetic suggests she was viciously bullied, which is known for causing severe damage to one´s mental health. That also explains her creepy enthusiasm in the sense of belonging, to Legion, that is. As for the all known lore so far, the store clerk was really the first kill, so it is generally assumed that person survived. She had no issues with causing serious injuries though, that is implied by three things: tome lore, cosmetic showcased in the video, and cheerleader cosmetic. @@thenoirknight5729 Michael would probably just ask to remain in the realm for all of eternity. He has unlimited people to kill and he has free space to roam. He also has other killers to potentially "work" with like he did with Corey.
It breaks my heart that no matter what universe she's in, every version of Haddie is plagued by images of the Realm, feeling every sensation of pain imaginable and damned to lose her parents. I wish we got one of the Haddies established in the Archives. Either the cave dweller one or the middle-aged one that lost Jordan. So much potential storytelling with her cosmetics. Also, Claud, Meg, and Feng are the most popular, meaning the most sacrificed. Who's the biggest risk to lose hope first? 😢
The thing about everything in the trials being the Entity - yep. The auric cells (the ones we buy with real world money) are established in lore to be a sort of living thread that the Entity “weaves” to create everything, including cosmetics. I also like the theory that the bodies of survivors and killers are also made up of auric cells and are therefore just puppets crafted by the Entity that their souls inhabit. Notice that shadow-figure that gets lifted up when a survivor is sacrificed? I think that’s their “soul” or “essence” being brought out of the trial to be inserted into a new “puppet” while the last body is destroyed.
Creepy Implications for Licensed Characters: Bubba's lore indicates he is just as afraid of the Entity as the survivors are and desperately wants to go home. Laurie and Michael were still siblings in the main timeline when the Halloween DLC dropped, meaning Laurie's constantly getting killed by her brother. The fact that tombstoning all the survivors will lead to the Entity displeased/hungers indicates the Entity does not like it when Michael tombstones all the survivors, but it also can't stop him from doing so in trial. Amanda's workshop/bedroom is right above the SAW bathroom where she suffocated Adam Stanheight. Amanda's Secret addon indicates she's still self-harming in the realm of the Entity. Amanda's mori is recreation of Jigsaw's attack on Detective Tapp before Tapp's partner got his head blown off, meaning she might intentionally be trying to evoke that memory for Tapp (who was the detective who interviewed her after she survived her game). Her mori is also designed so that she can kill survivors with RBTs on their heads, adding to the unfairness of her games. Pinhead's mori indicates that he may actually take the survivors to the realm of the Labyrinth to torture them until the Entity demands them back. Or (and this is Pixel Bush's theory) since Hellraiser shows that spilling blood on the spot of abduction is the way to resurrect those the Cenobites have taken, it might be that the survivors have to wait until enough people bleed on the spot they died.
1. Bubba’s lore actually indicates that he sees the Entity as his new family, therefore he is just as devoted to it as he was to his actual family. 2. The Entity is displeased every time you kill all four survivors, whether by Mori or bleed out. It is not unique to Michael. It’s because killing outright doesn’t equal sacrifice. The Entity must be slowly summoned through a slow torture of survivors via the hooks. That is how it feeds. So yeah, it’s unhappy because it doesn’t get to eat. It’s not inherently frowning upon the direct killing, as other Mori offerings write that the offering is the killer praying to the Entity to be allowed to kill instead of sacrifice. 3. In Hellraiser, only those who are abducted and killed require blood to resurrect. The Cenobites do not allow this to just happen. And that’s not even accounting for the fact that some who solve the puzzle box get sacrificed to the god Leviathan and become Cenobites themselves. It’s not just random blood spilled either. The abductees must absorb the living. But only if they escape the Cenobites who already maim, torture, kill and resurrect just to do it all over again to those who open the box. It’s why The Cenobites just kind of wander into the Fog, they’re creatures very much like the Entity already. That person’s theory shows that they don’t really know or understand Hellraiser lore. 4. Michael and Laurie’s lore in game clearly state that they are essentially amalgamations of the different iterations of their stories. They’re not actually related.
This version of Michael and Laurie are based on old comic-book adaptations of the first movie. Only the second movie and the special TV broadcast cut of the first movie (which isn't canon) mention the sibling thing.
@@LuxValkyrie “He kills because he is scared. Scared that others will hurt him; scared that his family will be displeased with him, scared that their shared willingness to eat human flesh will be discovered…He realised that no matter what outsiders could do to him, there was something worse, something bigger that lived in the shadows. He was filled with a terror unlike any he had ever felt before.” Direct quotes from Bubba’s lore
@@LuxValkyrie Ahzymovs has literally stated that Laurie in game is based on her appearance in the comics, where she is still Michael’s sibling. The idea of Michael and Laurie being unrelated would have been bizarre at that point, as the 2018 requel didn’t exist yet. They also call it a family reunion in the spotlight trailer
if the red stain is the entity, then does it mean that when a killer is undetectable the entity leaves them? Removing the red stain and terror radius, reducing them to a basic human (or animal/creature), like they were before the realm.
I'm not too convinced with the Mori's being carved out of human teeth. All of the Mori's share the name of types of wood. Cypress, Ivory and Ebony. So it seems more that they are cursed trinkets born out of the bloodweb made of wood to imbue the killers with a rebellious nature as a Mori does not grant hook points, due to the lack of sacrifice.
I dont think its rebellious, the text says something like "you did good, the next one is yours" implying that the entity is indulging them or something
@@pancakes8816 I personally disagree, I believe that that is the bloodweb commending the killer in some way. As entity speak in descriptions is untranslated. Especially in the case of the Anniversary weapon skins.
@@eagles5205 in Benedict's Journal he basically refers to the bloodweb as a concept unlocked in the mind formed by the entity, but yet the entity does not like or tolerate progression as it begins to eat other nodes as you progress. If this is true to the lore then it's telling us that the entity does not like use of the bloodweb, telling me, atleast, that the add-ons and offerings are born out of our memories and thoughts, which is why the killer's add-ons directly tie to their lore. Atleast this is my take on it just from reading Baker's Journal.
The whole fictional characters being real but fiction in another reality is very interesting. makes me want to know the first time reaction of survivors who are aware that the killer/teammate are fictional.
it would be weird for the fictionals to because in their worlds, they're obviously real. so imagine how they'd feel about it... Dang now I really wanna see that
I think its also nice to share that, theories of the identity of the entity is actually us. We have the power to ask and control these characters, and see how the matches go. Even have the power to get the characters we want.
It would be really creepy if the devs made a time for Nancy and Steve, and addressed what maybe happened to them, we’re they cast to the void also I wonder if survivors search for ways to escape outside of just the gates and hatch
The lost tape survivors are believed to have been survivors who have completely given up on hope, therefore, they were thrown into the void, similar to Blight. Thinking of that when reading it in game always gives me a slight feeling of eerieness as these lost tapes have some genuinely hopeful messages on them. To think these survivors were once filled with hope. That these tapes are last reminders of a long lost hope of survivors who’ll never be seen again because the entity has completely drained them of that hope. And probably, the very last reminder that they have ever even existed in the first place.
Considering how Akito's playmate is referred to as "her" in the add-on Akito's Crutch, Kazan's punishments for said playmate and her family could be much worse than what was stated in the video. If that's the case, then I have no doubt that Rin would truly despise the monster she is forced to share a bloodline with
Personally, I think that one of the most disturbing things in this game is the Trickster’s chase music. Unlike most chase music pieces, his is not cool or an outright bop to listen to. It’s actually really scary. The sirens really do sound like screams, and it’s even possible that they are meant to be screams. The Trickster’s constant laughter during his chases really show you how much he enjoys tormenting others.
On the topic of the entity being an unstoppable force, isn't the whole plot of the game that all of the current survivors and killers actually were successful in escaping? That's what the observer is observing. He is reading the memories of the escaped survivors and killers in order to figure out how he can escape
One thing that i like about DbD is that it's very violent, but the way they offer you that violence is very clean: what i mean is that a Pyramid Head mori is so fucking brutally terrible, imagine it on a movie with real people getting killed by that mori. But on DbD you only see the blood and nothing else, that's the kind of violence and blood i like. When i have to watch something like hellraiser, i always get a bit disturbed by some scenes o-o'
Thank you for showing where the horror lurks cause I’ve always kept up with it and grew sad when I saw others say the game isn’t scary. Jump scares aren’t the only horror! You have to think about the actual meat on the bones to really get a chills
I dare anyone to look at half the lore of some of the Killers, especially the more human ones, and tell me this isn't a horror game. They're all fucking terrifying people.
A cool list idea I have is "5 Surviors/Killers that should get Tomes" I'm interested to hear what people think. Personally I'd love a Deathslinger Tome.
We might actually have some ancient Greek survivors with the Greek legends skins but more likely we have a Greek killer being Blights's Ferryman Of The Underworld being based on Charon from Greek mythology.
Oh I'm happy someone brought up the Feng cosplay outfit. It was an interesting description and I kept thinking about how it works but I like that idea you had.
2. The Ghostface thing really baffles me. Like... He's a home invasion type killer, did he sneak a whole ass leg through the streets to make his knife? Was he there for like 4 hours? And how did he do it, he only carries a knife around? The more I think about it, the funnier it gets tbh. Just a weird guy who impulsively got an idea, thought it would be cool and stubbornly went to town on some dead leg. After like an hour going "damn... This is way harder than I thought it would be" but again, being a stubborn shithead, he continued. And then, after some more time, him being sweaty and out of breath as fuck, noticing he doesn't actually have anything to take the leg with... But deciding he's too deep in anyway so he just grabs it casually and weaves it about in the air as he goes back to his house. Like ????
If the entity is possessing the killers than I assume Michael has the most restraint than any other killer since his Tier 1 he has no red mist. He just walks towards the people as himself.
@@metalclawsteelheart that’s if he doesn’t have specific add ons. Michael only gets the red mist when hitting Tier 3 ( possibly tier 2 ) but in tier one that’s just Michael himself.
Ghostface actually would have the most Restraint if that's true - because he can turn his Terror Radius on and off whenever desired, and only seems to "lose" that restraint and thus his temper whenever he is revealed. In other words, Revealing Ghostface pisses him off because his Design is ruined and thus he loses his restraint. There's nothing scarier than a meticulous detail-obsessed serial Killer who has lost the thread of a plan that was guiding him. We saw what happened the last time Ghostface lost control of a Design in the Malevolence tome; it wasn't pretty.
It's probably a "blood pudding" or something like it, but not the blood pudding we're familiar with. It could also be an amalgam of rendered fat, congealed blood, body parts like eyes, etc, offered to the Entity from remains of Survivors left in the trial who didn't make it or were Moried.
The link between Doctor and Dredge being Otto Stamper is still creepy to me. Stamper created the Dredge, and essentially received his comeuppance for it, being tortured into a vegetable by Herman
That was nice video, glad you came back! Keep doing the great work. Btw i am curious, what is your most favorite tome charm from all that have been released?
They're lost to keep the lore more interesting, like keeping a character in a movie series dead so it meant something. Also the generic killer and survivor perks are supposed to be from killers/survivors who were cast to the Void.
Felix also has a Chris Redfield cosmetic skin. It's called "BSAA uniform" but it's actually Chris's costume from RE5. Which implies he (like feng) has played RE5 and had a cosplay of Chris.
For the red stain huntresses perk beast of prey adds a cool fact to this & I quote "you're lust for a kill is so intense that you're connection with the Entity is momentarily lost" as when u reach bloodlust 1 it removes the red stain which u talked about which almost confirms the Entity sees through the killer
Number 14 since the most recent Halloween event with the literal void and the ghosts you give the remnant stuff to they could be the past survivors that got thrown out after all they don't have any defining features
Im i the only one who can listen hours straight to his voice ? It’s so smooth and calm.😂 He can tell me everything and I would just sitting here and listen carefully🫠
8:29 “Alex’s Toolbox” was named after a dev who, tasked with playtesting, was the guy who got the sabo mechanic to work. Alex was always seen carrying a toolbox, it became kinda his thing. They never went the extra step of giving it cogent lore like you did!
I found out a pretty interesting fact about Doctor while researching electroshock treatment around his time Apparently the use of electroshock began to fall in 1983 roughly, sound familiar? Because that’s 3 years (maybe even around the same time) Carter disappeared. I don’t know if this was intentional or just a coincidence that it started to fall out around the same time Carter had entered the Entity’s realm, it’s still cool though because his lore actually slots pretty nicely into real life, despite electroshock being quite popular before his time
I just recently talked about the original survivors knowing the licensed characters from their games... it has to be so odd. Probably adds to the fact that most will eventually just think they're going crazy or are actually going crazy 😬
12: my friend and I are actually working on a fan project of this idea of previous survivors before the main cast, with some characters like Candyman, og Freddy, and such 19: We talked about this too, which is honestly scary in itself, but think how characters like Bill, Jill, Leon, etc, feel; they think they're real living breathing people, only to be told that they're video game characters. Scary
Something else I find disturbing is that the entity can and has taken animals into the realm that really just freaks me out like has there ever been a trail made up of house pets ?
The characters knowing one another as fictional is an interesting topic indeed, If the entity can pull others from the multiverse then is it not far fetched to say that every survivor is merely another version of themselves. Think of it, say leon s. Kennedy goes to the void, the entity just pulls another leon from a different world. This would make since as if the survivors were slowly going mad why wouldn't they be removed from the game entirely? There being replaced by more sane versions of themselves!! (I'm not say that the entity doesn't revive them, just that once they go to the void THAT version of themselves has served their purpose)
It might be a loop they're unaware of, brainwashing or replacing every character. It makes sense since some characters are still alive in their own universe (Jonathan, Steve, Nancy, Chris, Laurie, etc.)
Wait, so you're saying that I've played as like, 15 different bills without realizing? Wait, what if, this, "replacement" that you speak of happens during prestige! That would explain why you restart at level one each time!
New video idea: what every killer would request from the entity based on lore and personality (so basically number 18 in this video but more descriptive)
20. I always think about the Entity as about some Lovecraftian cosmic horror with power beyond the human understanding. All this horror and madness happening really have all those vibes. Also, the impossibility to fight Lovecraftian eldritch monsters and no hope for characters is also very fit to DbD concept. No hope, no escape, only never ending death and resurrection circle.
I love the lore videos you do. It would be really cool if you did lore video on other horror things like maybe like a deep dive into the origin of some horror killers
random theory: the Entity originally just wanted Susie, but then while stalking her, the entity saw the rest of the legion and saw massive potential in the four acting as one
Anybody noticing that Azhymovs is getting better at the game each video? Tbh I just love to watch the background footage getting progressively more skillful!
For point #15 it would be so interesting watching a movie or comic adapted from the game almost akin to "I have to mouth and I must scream" of the absolute phycological breakdown of one's mind living and dying over and over again for centuries.
two things for number 14 my interpretation of the lore is that these people have always been here for example the twins has been killing for much longer then we have known her in the realm so some of the other survivors might remain they might be in the void for number 20 its hard to know because a few thousand years are a blink of an eye on a cosmic scale and who knows maybe the entity is quite literally a flower in a garden of some higher being
I remember a lore peice stating that the survivors life gets drained away as they keep going through trials showing that maybe the entity resurrects the survivers at a price each time they die.
The blight went insane to he found writings left by the entity a wrote it on his skin and the entity rewards it with more serum and the blight is the entity's second in command experimenting on the killers
I feel like The Shape and Pinhead could potentially oppose the entity’s power since they’re the only two killers who were able to get into the entity’s realm without being taken there. There’s also the fact that The Shape can instantly kill people with an add-on, defying the entity’s rules.
I'd really wanna see more chapters that focus on the games lore. For example, a "killer" that directly opposes the entity and is trying to free the survivors, but the entity makes the survivors see it as some horrifying creature. I don't know, anything would be cool, the lore is really underrated
I will give you something creepy, with the entity abducting not only dozens of survivors but also a multitude of POWERFUL killers, Should we be fearing the entity or thanking it for keeping away killers such as Billy or Doctor, maybe even dredge, (at least the ones not so powerful that they come and go as they please.) Food for thought.
Yup, everything you touch IS the entity. At least everything is replicated based on the ora, that's stated as the elementary matter of everything within the entity's realm. My thought is that it includes survivors (you can see the entity take their "souls", possibly in another trial), and maybe killers, as they appear from nothing and explains some things, such as Victor's ressurection and how some addons/offerings are still "alive" That's why the maps are based on real places, but twisted by the entity's weirdness.
Bcs of the kinda multiverse thing going on it would indeed be cool with a minotaur or a medusa (would work as a reverse ghostface maybe) and a hero like theseus or perseus as their survivor counterparts.
You wanna know what else is disturbing? This guy I know made an analog horror video of The nurse’s lore. Analog horror uses VHS effects, disturbing visuals, disturbing audio, and hints and bits of information about whats going on to tell a story. Good question. Concerning The Shape, I honestly don't think Michael would request anything
@@thenoirknight5729 Michael would probably just ask to remain in the realm for all of eternity. He has unlimited people to kill and he has free space to roam. He also has other killers to potentially "work" with like he did with Corey.
Yeah, but most of the killers are forced to kill and their request would be "let me go back home"
I think Claudette would loose her hope First. The other two are pretty strong willed and have a competetive mindset.
@@unreal_blob you do realize it's endless right? They can stay strong all they want but eventually it's gonna break them
@@shenelljohnson74 that wasn't the question though, he only asked who would go mad first, not who's gonna resist forever
@@mastersofgame6867 so do you believe Claud would go crazy then?, Meg seem like she about to break herself

Creepy Implications for Licensed Characters:
Bubba's lore indicates he is just as afraid of the Entity as the survivors are and desperately wants to go home.
@@LuxValkyrie not everyone who solves the box becomes a cenobite. Some like Frank cotton are subjected to endless torture and suffering in hell.

@@Papa_Emeritus_IV isnt the bloodweb a gift from the entity for your hard work i thought that was the point
Dang now I really wanna see that
I can imagine at least someone said “Is…is that Michael fucking Meyers? What is going on?!”
So glad to see you back man, hope you enjoyed your break from dbd! :-)
This guy makes DbD 13x more interesting
He doesn't make the game something it isn't. You wouldn't need someone if you actually cared to know better tha game you are playing
@@akashafofo6939 watching the videos that highlight things like these is the sign that people care tho, don't you think?
Agreed
My favorite head cannon for ancient trials is that instead of repairing Gens the Entity had survivors igniting large bonfires.
On the topic of the entity being an unstoppable force, isn't the whole plot of the game that all of the current survivors and killers actually were successful in escaping? That's what the observer is observing. He is reading the memories of the escaped survivors and killers in order to figure out how he can escape
That actually makes the whole game a lot more hopeful.

Imagine being trapped as a gnome in the entity's realm
Gosh I love kazan, would absolutely love to see a short film about him.

If the entity is possessing the killers than I assume Michael has the most restraint than any other killer since his Tier 1 he has no red mist. He just walks towards the people as himself.
Ok, but how do you explain him getting a red stain after stalking?
Technically the Survivor Pudding is an offering, meaning the killers cooked it for the Entity, not for themselves.
Can't say it's not deserved.
That was nice video, glad you came back! Keep doing the great work.
Btw i am curious, what is your most favorite tome charm from all that have been released?
I like the Pocket Entity community one a lot. The triple red Aces from the Ace Tome is simple but cool, I like that one a lot too.
This one was a good one! Really enjoy your videos! Can't wait for the next one!
I think this Blight theory and blight istself vould be a reference to Reanimator. He could bring back dead beings but they become more agressive
Add the reanimator to the game NOW!!!

I'm so happy that you're back at making vids. 💜 Really enjoy them and make my day.
I want the Lost Tape Survivors. Something special about them, and I would like to see that concept explored.
They're lost to keep the lore more interesting, like keeping a character in a movie series dead so it meant something. Also the generic killer and survivor perks are supposed to be from killers/survivors who were cast to the Void.
I've been sick the last couple days and watching your DBD videos make me feel better
Hey man I got to play against you as survivors a few days ago. You were Meg, we were on Ormond, against a Myers who gave you the hatch!!!

Fun fact: we are basically the Entity in the menu
We chose who will be the survivor and who will be the fact
For the red stain huntresses perk beast of prey adds a cool fact to this & I quote "you're lust for a kill is so intense that you're connection with the Entity is momentarily lost" as when u reach bloodlust 1 it removes the red stain which u talked about which almost confirms the Entity sees through the killer

The killer watching the survivors kill each other must’ve been like “the fuck they doing over there?”
"Don't do my job for me!"
I found out a pretty interesting fact about Doctor while researching electroshock treatment around his time
Apparently the use of electroshock began to fall in 1983 roughly, sound familiar? Because that’s 3 years (maybe even around the same time) Carter disappeared. I don’t know if this was intentional or just a coincidence that it started to fall out around the same time Carter had entered the Entity’s realm, it’s still cool though because his lore actually slots pretty nicely into real life, despite electroshock being quite popular before his time
I just recently talked about the original survivors knowing the licensed characters from their games... it has to be so odd. Probably adds to the fact that most will eventually just think they're going crazy or are actually going crazy 😬
12: my friend and I are actually working on a fan project of this idea of previous survivors before the main cast, with some characters like Candyman, og Freddy, and such
19: We talked about this too, which is honestly scary in itself, but think how characters like Bill, Jill, Leon, etc, feel; they think they're real living breathing people, only to be told that they're video game characters. Scary
This video gave me an idea to suggest: list the creepiest thing about each killer!
Something else I find disturbing is that the entity can and has taken animals into the realm that really just freaks me out like has there ever been a trail made up of house pets ?
Really creepy but really cool theories as always keep up the good work 😁
The characters knowing one another as fictional is an interesting topic indeed, If the entity can pull others from the multiverse then is it not far fetched to say that every survivor is merely another version of themselves.
@@metalclawsteelheart a great hypothesis!!!

20. I always think about the Entity as about some Lovecraftian cosmic horror with power beyond the human understanding. All this horror and madness happening really have all those vibes. For point #15 it would be so interesting watching a movie or comic adapted from the game almost akin to "I have to mouth and I must scream" of the absolute phycological breakdown of one's mind living and dying over and over again for centuries.
two things
for number 14 my interpretation of the lore is that these people have always been here for example the twins has been killing for much longer then we have known her in the realm so some of the other survivors might remain they might be in the void
for number 20 its hard to know because a few thousand years are a blink of an eye on a cosmic scale and who knows maybe the entity is quite literally a flower in a garden of some higher being
Most disturbing is words like kill, die etc are censored in end game chat in a game filled with merciless butchering
That's not scary,that's just ironic
I remember a lore peice stating that the survivors life gets drained away as they keep going through trials showing that maybe the entity resurrects the survivers at a price each time they die.
Oh, I love this, that's so interesting! Good Job!
12:02 pyramid head does probably have a chance of beating the entity
The blight went insane to he found writings left by the entity a wrote it on his skin and the entity rewards it with more serum and the blight is the entity's second in command experimenting on the killers

It nice to see you back lad
I feel like The Shape and Pinhead could potentially oppose the entity’s power since they’re the only two killers who were able to get into the entity’s realm without being taken there. There’s also the fact that The Shape can instantly kill people with an add-on, defying the entity’s rules.
I thought PH made a deal with the entity?
@@metalclawsteelheart Nah, someone found and opened the Lament Configuration box in a trial and Pinhead decided to just stay in the Realm

Yup, everything you touch IS the entity.
At least everything is replicated based on the ora, that's stated as the elementary matter of everything within the entity's realm.
My thought is that it includes survivors (you can see the entity take their "souls", possibly in another trial), and maybe killers, as they appear from nothing and explains some things, such as Victor's ressurection and how some addons/offerings are still "alive"
That's why the maps are based on real places, but twisted by the entity's weirdness.
