The other ones are cool but definitely pace breakers so it’s cool to be able to remove them, but there is nothing that could make me remove the death egg robot cutscene in sunset heights act 1 it’s like the coolest thing ever
I lowkey don't understand why people are hating on mid-level cutscenes. They're so cool! Like, cinematic at that. They must have put so much effort into those cutscenes, and people don't even want it to be in the game.
no one says they're not cool, people are saying that it's annoying having to go through them every time they want to replay the level, they're pacebreakers and take away control for a while from the player and go on a bit too long
@@sirsonic1832 I mean 20-30 seconds is quite a bit of time if you’re replaying the levels going for a better time. It adds up when you’re trying to shave seconds off the clock. The Ark has nearly a minute of mid level cutscenes all together, that’s quite a bit of time. It would be nice if was optional and could be manually disabled like the Doom Wings, same applies to Chaos Control stopping the timer that could also be an option you could turn off.
@@zekromfan1 yeah your right I can definitely understand why people might not want them in I just don’t mind seeing them every time personally though for speed runners idk why they would want to have chaos control not stop the clock lol
Honestly didn't think modders would be able to do this but i'm continually impressed by their work. This was my biggest issue with the game too so i'm glad that we have something like this.
I would have loved if some of the goofy looking rails had some camera angles and different sort of automation depending on the cutscene. For example, hiding some rails near the death egg robots to make shadow grind on them in the actual game, and still show them off, or maybe use the cutscene animations once shadow gets close but actually have him grind on the rails instead
honestly imo i dont mind them too much because its a nice break from all the complex gameplay and theyre literally just flashy loading screens BUT i would for sure appreciate the official support to separate it, maybe they can have an option where you play the ark, rail canyon and sunset heights on their own without them but maybe somewhere in white space there's now an entrance to access those black doom sections as their own separate levels so they're still preserved in some way i think theyll def notice the feedback on them and find a way to separate them in a patch, its the only real major problem with shadow generations after all so im sure its at the top of their priority list also removing the death egg robot cutscene should be a sin because it robs sunset heights of its sauce
That's not a separate animation in the files, falling just uses the running animation until you stop boosting. It's been the same going all the way back to Lost World. That being said, that's also just an option in the mod loader, so modders don't individually need to change that.
Why are people hating on mid level cutscenes? do yall want a cut to black 12 second loading screen into shadow standing there explaining whats happening?
@@sirsonic1832 As I said; they are cool the first few times. After that they are just stopping the gameplay, which is pure timewasting and irritation, especially off-switch where they serve no purpose.

It'd be cool if there was a mod that combine all the radical highways cutaways into one big gauntlet
Radical highway Act 3
Radical highway act HARD or smth would fit since with the 3rd challenges it's HARD mode instead

@@durag9810nah at that point with this mod your just taking away the sauce from this game they’re not even that long either like fr

@@durag9810 Makes sense. I'm completely fine with it breaking the pace, as long as it picks back up, which is exactly what happens.
While I get the black doom cutscene I loved all the other mid level cutscenes
I would love a very hard mode where its just gauntlet with more level design to race through

Alright but what do the levels look like WITHOUT the radical highway sections alltogether?
Yeah I was sorta hoping that that’s what this was.
shorter
that Radical Highway run blew my mind and inspired me to try Speedrun it

I wish this was an thing for an unmoded game. Seemless levels seems nice.
We need a mod that makes every level Radical Highway
Fun fact you can use doom blast on neo devil doom
You can't be doing this to me Stelmo...
Skateboost modders always forget to put a falling animation for when shadow goes off a ledge while boosting lmao

@samuelknytt9434 ik its not seperate, doesnt change the fact that shadow keeps running mid air

When you play a level over and over for times it can get annoying when waiting 12 seconds for the cutscene to play
Why would you EVER get rid of those awesome cutscenes?
The switch version runs at 31.5 fps.
I just think it's a really cool level, okay?
The cutscenes are cool the first few times, but otherwise they are the worst part of the game. But I play on Switch so...
Saying these super high quality transition scenes are the “worst”part of the game is actually crazy
