I would have thought one could not pick up discarded cards in the same turn. One would have to only be able to choose OTHER cards than the one's discarded to pick up. That would make sense to me.
That’s true of the “draw a card icon” found on some cards, so I do think we made that mistake a couple times.
I’m the case of playing the Douglas Firs though, the player takes another full turn, so choosing to draw back up the cards used to play the Fir should be possible.

@@meeple Oh man, where did I get Steve from!? I did mean Ryan of course. Maybe Steve was mentioned from the live comments as I watched this and typed my comment? I'll use that excuse, it sounds good 😊
He should be worried though. Well, not Steve. But knowing your opponents card count can be important at times, as you can or cannot safely play cards into the clearing.
A very imbalanced game (deer/wolf=win) but I enjoy it nonetheless.
Never found scoring to be a hurdle for us.
