Vil-the beautiful queen was the first fully animated movie. Yuu-and let me guess it won a lot of awards? Vil-yes how did you know? Yui-its similar from my world…
Ace and Vil failing to describe twst's version of Alice in Wonderland to Azul is so funny xD But since they brought it up then maybe Ace hometown event someday...?
I am not opposed to an Ace hometown event happening at some point (I want to see his brother too), but I really want to see a Trey hometown event happen before Ace’s; granted, of course, if we do get one, the other, or both somewhere down the line. The Tapis Rouge event taking place in another France inspired location gives me some hope of the game returning to the Queendom of Roses potentially in the future.
@@jettash0720 This is honestly something I have been wondering as well! It would be interesting because it would be the first ever dual character hometown event to happen in Twisted Wonderland if Trey and Riddle returned together. I wonder how they’d go about it? Edit: I completely forgot about the Fireworks event with Jamil and Kalim. LOL I guess it is just that Kalim was somewhat present, but not a whole lot, and did not receive a card for his and Jamil's hometown event, just Jamil only. I guess I was looking at it from the perspective of both Trey and Riddle getting cards?
Funfact since we’re talking about the award here that represents the Oscar award won by walt: The oscar had seven mini oscars to represent the 7 dwarves
Hello Ekala! How are you? Thank you so much for the continued translations! Out of curiosity, at 1:01, what happens when you select “I wanna put Grim in”? I smiled and laughed at that being an option!
Wish they could have gone more into the details of the whole 'Disney's Folly'. Disney having to mortage his house, how his wife and brother tried talking him out of making Snow White, the entire press calling him a con-man (hence the name), other big names "predicting" that the movie would fail because audiences wouldn't be able to stand 90 minutes of an animated movie, etc
Honestly this part of the tour convinces me that this whole shebang is more suited for Hollywood, LA. Those lots? That water tower? The palm trees? SoCal vibes. Why they decided to give this event another frou frou French vibe - I will never understand. Vil (and Snow White) isn't even French-coded! Plus, there's the whole "Red Carpet" is more renowned than calling it "Tapis Rouge", to the point that its referred to as "Red Carpet" in katakana. My only conclusion? There's no Twst equivalent of the U.S. - which is not only supremely ironic, and incredibly comedic, but also good for them. Good For Them.
@@beenabunny5564 Sam and his untapped lore aside (can't speak on this due to sheer lack of lore), the fact of the matter is the studio lot (which is what my original comment is primarily focused on) looks like the studio lots in Burbank, CA. My main whine is that we already had a French-adjacent city, right? If they were gonna show the studios that is a near one to one copy of the ones in Southern California, USA - then why not just set the whole place in the US? Especially because we have seen a French-adjacent city, we could expand our zone of inspiration to not just be European again. AND especially that this story is in some part a homage to Walt Disney and his first attempts at pushing through an animated film. Why not set it in Walt's home country yeah? Like yes, ofc Cannes is a famous film festival duh. But surely... there's some film based event... they can pull for inspiration... closer to Burbank, CA...
You know, one thing I neglected to mention in my initial reply is that I saw a post detailing the multiple inspirations that Fairest City has outside of just Cannes, France, so it is not impossible that Burbank was indeed one of the inspirations. Twisted Wonderland is known for having more than one inspirations for things, after all. Why it was not the main inspiration, all things considered, none of us have an answer for. We’d have to ask Yana. Is the film festival in this event based off of the Cannes or the Burbank Film Festival? Who knows? The answer could be both. Sorry for not knowing about the Burbank Film Festival in the first place. I honestly have nothing more to say.

I see that happening soon. I'm looking forward of seeing his Brother.

@@beenabunny Ooh yes! I wonder though, since Trey and Riddle used to hang out as kids, would they put them both in an event for that hometown?

Yep! Sherly Timple actually presented it to him😸
16:59 The statue of the Queen, I believe, represents the award Walt Disney received at the Oscars.

Wow... With how they're describing the live action set, it's reminding me of how Lord of the Rings were made 😮🤩

Makes you wonder where the American foods mentioned in the stories originated from instead.
