    Be sure to add a 3mm thick o-ring to provide tension on the input cups on the ends and a dense foam shim on the center block to eliminate the “slop”. This completes the design and mine have held up to EXTREME bashing from 2nd story rooftop ramps for the last 7months no problem…

      Always Appreciate you stopping by and checking out the vid man. Congrats on the new Xmaxx! Bending center driveshaft is a Big weak point on this truck for sure. This is a genius way of solving this issue once and for all. Heat shrink only for testing. Final product will be more refined.

    Looks like a good fix. I wonder how the drive cups will go with wear? Might need replacing every so often if the pins wear through eventually, just like on the diffs. And a sleeve might help strengthen the drive cups as well from splitting. Great solution to the stock torque tube though mate!

    • @CommanderAstigRC
      @CommanderAstigRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate your time watching brother. So far it's holding up strong without any issues. Just like anything else you have serviced it for wear but it's gonna be a while before that happens. A massive upgrade over the stock one no doubt about it.

    I installed the M2C chassis brace. Have not tried it out yet, that coupled with the steel M2C center drive shaft would eliminate most of the issues with hard landing the XMAXX. Do you know when M2C will be releasing the drive shaft and the 15mm axel extensions?

    • @CommanderAstigRC
      @CommanderAstigRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @RoadsideRC
    @RoadsideRC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I agree. It really does look like it will help solve the driveshaft bending issue.
    I have been running a different brace for almost a year. No issues with bent driveahafts anymore either. It was only about $40.

      It all boils down to how hard you bash. In my case totally worth it. I don't mind changing broken parts but it gets annoying after a while. With this upgrade it's more play time less wrench time 😀

  • @coolhawk2003
    @coolhawk2003 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Keep it light and this dont happen. Its very easy. Why would they design a truck like that? Well they dont you "upgraded " it.
    Crazy how if you go all out in weeight and power thatevery rc breaks. Odd its like to much maybe?

    • @CommanderAstigRC
      @CommanderAstigRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate your time stopping by. It all depends on how hard you bash your truck IMO. Personally, upgrades are necessary for extreme bashing that I do. More play time, less wrench time is what these upgrades brings to the bashing game.
