- EDIT: Four years on, it's a bit bizarre that this super low quality, poorly spelled video with a floating Yahn head managed to become so popular. Well people like it at least, so I should feel good about myself. I do have other stuff you can check out though.
Some fanmade battle conversations I added to my balance patch for Fire Emblem: Binding Blade. The Yahn Fae one is my favorite, but I think it might be a little long for a real battle convo. More info about the hack here

@@flamellamarada4153 Slim sword gives a chance of a crit. Besides, Iron Sword is the general basic sword weapon in the GBA games.

@@Jotari I was really confused, I thought that you'd have to do a secret map or something- something like the FE9 secret maps that were so tedious to find.
@Noah Avshalom Well yeah...I obviously knew that because I put her in to the main campaign. Did you think I went and constructed a Guinevere battle sprite and happened to give her light magic as a sage without being aware she's available on trial maps?

What makes the Zephial VS Milady one sting is Zephial see's it as Milady making him do what his dad tried to do to him.

Mark: You should since I led the effort to save you from the Black Fang when your father ordered them to assassinate you 20 years ago.
Zephiel: So you were with those Lycian Lords? I have heard stories of a tactician that's capable of ensuring zero casualties for whatever group being guided but I never thought there was any truth of them. Much less being involved in stopping the first of many attempts on my life.
Mark: I blame your father more than you for this turn of events. As much as it pains me to do it, I must finish the job the Black Fang started since you now fall under their original purge requirements.
Now THIS would be quite the conversation between FE7 tactician leading Eliwood’s son vs Zephiel. IS, take notes!
Yahn conceding the point about Roy was a nice touch.
Because he’s half dragon.
The only one I would add is one with Yahn and Sophia. I think he'd have something to say to a half dragon.
But barring that minor gripe, these are all very well done!
nice to see that the older translation still gets some hackingsupport. the conversations pretty well written....however,there is a minor continuityerror. cecilia was wounded from zephiels crit,but it was already clear to him that she survived it. a more general "you still live?" would have been more fitting because narcian probably intended to mangle her up

I would prefer Cecilia to acknowledge she got rekt more. What I think would be badass would be for her to say something like "How ironic. Out of all the horrible things you've done, your act of grace in letting me live turned out to be your greatest mistake". I like that you have Guinivere playable too. It would've been great character development for her to fight Zephiel. All in all, these are pretty good. Just put them through a word document first. There are a couple spelling errors.
Well technically, she's playable in the vanilla game but you have to beat the game 11 times to unlock her
Great job with the convos, they seem completely in-character. Sometimes when people do these things it sounds a bit off.
I don't think Zephiel loves Guiniviere as much as their conversation implies.
I mean, when they are reunited in chapter 13 he literally says he'll kill her if she escapes again.
He is way more apathetic than how he appears during these conversations.
I think it's more his capacity to love has been broken by his father, he spent his whole life trying to impress the king only for him to show him resentment simply because zephiel was successful, capable, beloved by all and more than worthy of holding the throne, while the king was simply of royal blood and not seen as competent by the people.
Zephiel tried to be successful to win his father's approval not realizing he only got his bitter jealousy and so his father punished him by keeping him from socializing with his sister, giving him demeaning tasks and constantly sending him away, and when he did show zephiel affection it was a ruse to try and murder him.
The thing that makes zephiel so hard to truly hate is he wasn't born this way his father made him into this when all he wanted was love.

What I imagined would happen is at first Guinivere and Zephiel wouldn't attack each other for several rounds, then suddenly Zephiel attacks and his expression changes, implying he has cracked.
....and that Yahn taunts Guinivere for her actions, the oen time Guin loses her cool
Coming to think of it a Yahn Guinivere convo could work, with Guinvere accusing Yahn of manipulating Zephiel while Yahn maintains that Zephiel made all his own choices.

And all three of them are so well written. I wish there were more 'long' deep conversations like these in FE.
I mean Joshua and Caellach were just reminiscing about the old days.
Joshua was basically like “Remember when we were partners? How’d it end up like this?”
Caellach: “Hard to say. But one thing is certain. This ends. Today.”
Joshua: “…that it does, old friend. That it does.”
(In my FE8 run I went for ultimate disrespect and let him break his weapon on my overleveled General class Amelia. Then Joshua nuked him.)
I just dislike how the Milady Zephiel one starts. It doesn't sound very in character for zephiel

Man you need to update the names to be accurate to FEH, and give legendary weapons increased durability, like other games.

She's playable for trial maps. So it's a simple matter to make her playable in the main campaign.
To think that we have to go throught one of the worst chapters in the whole fire emblem franchise to defend this ass***...

Had I not read the description, you could've fooled me.
Some of the awkward pauses between lines of text (alongside more obvious things like Guineviere in the main campaign or Yahn's battle animations) kinda give away that it's fake, as they kind of tipped me off to check the description, but other than that, they carry the same feel as official portrayal of those characters.
... The Yahn/Fae one is definitely too long for a battle convo, though.
Roy is canonically half dragon so it makes since why he isn’t hated.
Roy isn't canonically half dragon. Ninian is the romance most pushed in Blazing Blade but Eliwood is still completely free to marry someone else.
Ninian herself was half dragon. This would make Roy quarter dragon.

@@Jotari Ehh don't discredit yourself. Think of it as the few soggy fries at the bottom of a fry box. There's bound to be mistakes but these are hardly noticable unless pointed out ya know. These are honestly convincingly good enough to be official if I didn't know any better/read the description. Don't discredit yourself king 👑

Until the floating dragon head I thought they were all real and I had missed them while playing (or cut content), specially the Fa one, bravo!
Why is the Yanh sprite out of camera?
Attempts to give Manaketes both a 1 range and 1-2 range weapon that didn't go all that well. Eventually I settled on just giving them all 1-2 range (as there's far less manaketes than I thought in the game). I know a lot more about hacking now so I probably could do that. Though if I were to go near this hack again I'd instead give Yahn the Blazing Blade final boss sprite to show Yahn is a true dragon.

My fe6 ROM isn't compatible with the patch, how do I fix this?
Remind me again in a week and I'll fix that myself. I know what the issue is, I was bad at implementing hacks at the time. If you can't wait a week, then find the pretranslated patch and it will work with that.

Some of the names are misspelled. For example Ray’s name is actually spelt Raigh.
This is a pre localized names patch.

Indeed, for the unit, but hunting through all the supports and text to change every incarnation of every localized name is not something I'm interested in doing. This is a gameplay hack with some conversations thrown in, not a translation.

She wasn't playable at all. A hacker made her into playable unit
You have to finish the game 9 times and one of them has to be on hard mode
