NBA is down bad because of 5 things. 🤔
    1. LBJ favoritism, teaming up, flopping, crying, stepping on MJ
    2. Changing the rules to fit offense
    3. Players not caring about the game only their image and pockets
    4. No respect for the pass
    5. Entitlement of players.
    My opinion.

Lebron also lost the game when he overtook Kareem at the top spot, lost the game when he overtook Karl Malone, lost the game when he overtook Kobe, lost the game when he overtook Michael Jordan.... it's almost as if he's only scoring for stats rather than scoring to win games. I think it was 2Raw4Sports that brought up the stats on when Lebron had the bulk of his scoring: something like 56% in garbage time when the game was already out of hand.
Lebron would just score the points to get his stats up at a time when defense was already lax because the other team was 15 to 20 points up. He gets his numbers and then just stands around on defense and then the other team wins. Lebron is the GOAT alright when it comes to stat-padding.

    • @leadlefthand
      @leadlefthand 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

@@noonookinz4560 - There's a difference between scoring during garbage time versus scoring to win. 2003, Lakers vs Mavs - that was when the Lakers were down by like 30 points at the half, and the Lakers came away with a win by the end of the fourth. Kobe and Shaq started piling on the points at the start of the third and got their team in striking distance to steal the win by the fourth. And that was only possible because the Lakers tightened their defense to cause stops. Therefore, the offense scores, and then locks down on D to get the stop.
Lebron scores during GARBAGE TIME - where there is no longer any possibility for the win. Too little, too late. He scores to get his stats, but then just stands around on defense and just trades buckets with the lead remaining in double digits. That's hardly the definition of trying to do everything to win. But that's what a player does to make his stats look good and avoid the blame for losing because he "scored 30 points".

A good quote from Phil Jackson is to be a contender you must win your 40th game before losing your 20th game of the season. Going by this there are 4 teams who are actual contenders: T-Wolves, Thunder, Nuggets, and Celtics. The Celtics get a ton of coverage. The other 3 not so much. The Lakers are a .500 play-in team yet they get the most coverage. I remember when the NBA was about winning and not this glorification of stats. Wish it would go back to being about winning.

How many regular seasons have you won? How many clutch shots have you made to win the match? How many times you dominate on both ends to win a match? You have no answers/ There are many people who have certain skills like dunks, 3 points, blocks, etc. That does not make them a GAOT. For those who support James, be honest and factual and objective. If it was truly just basketball, the continuous LeBron and Steph agenda would be pushed by the NBA. I’m a Lakers die hard and have been a fan of the team for decades and as someone who was really happy when LeBron James first came to the team after Kobe retired, and as someone that celebrated the bubble championship even…….. i’m ready for him to be off the team. Yes, he is an all-time, great, not the goat, but I want him off the team so the Lakers can start rebuilding. We’re not going to win a championship with him and I’m just sick of all the nonsense that people get excited about with him because the truth of the matter is the team sucks. I was so embarrassed with that in season tournament because I knew that by the time you get to the playoffs, we’d be lucky if we even made it past the first round or maybe even lucky if we make it into the playoffs.
There has been this plan to make LeBron James, the next Michael Jordan, and they don’t realize that Michael Jordan happened organically. Yes, the media loved him and gave him his flowers but that’s after Jordan proved himself. Kobe was hated by the media and every thing he did was downplayed and then, when LeBron ties his Nikes, there’s people like Nick Wright, just coming in their pants , and then it’s the greatest shoelace tie he’s ever seen.
It would be different if the Lakers were winning and we actually had a shot and it would even be different if we knew LeBron James could lead a team with just one other All-Star to a championship. He wasn’t able to do that at 29 so I don’t think there’s any reason to think he’ll do it at 39.
I wouldn’t even have an issue with him, but it’s just the fact that his team at clutch sports who are spread out across ESPN, the NBA and Fox Sports keep disrespecting, Kobe Bryant in favor of making LeBron look better. Laker nation loves Kobe and ever since the bubble championship, the disrespect from people like Shannon, Sharp, and Nick Wright towards Kobe, has gotten really ridiculous .
The fact that the NBA had to keep interfering with things and changing rules and not letting just sports history take place organically I think is why the 2010s aren’t going to be looked at as a good decade for the NBA. And what sad is there still trying now even though he’s may only got one or two seasons left. They still think they’re going to convince everybody that this guy is better than Michael Jordan. The plan has backed fired. More people hate LeBron today than they did eight years ago. because people are getting tired of being lied to.

When Magic Bird, Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Olajowan, and Kareem played, the NBA did not force feed the narrative that these players are the best in the NBA. Their play dictated the fans' reactions to their greatness. They wowed the fans with their passing, defense, intensity, acrobatics, physicality, and skills. The fans recognized their greatness, and the NBA rode on their coattails. TODAY, the NBA and their media push LeBron and are trying to make LeBron more than what he really is and ignoring all the other good if not great players, and some may be even better than LeBron. It's the same with Biden. The media makes Biden more than what he really is.

As a laker fan, i agree. Seeing lebron 24/7 is exhausting.

Good analysis. More good topics to discuss here than in any given year on ESPN or Fox. The biggest question is who's fault is it - dumb producers and commentators who can't think of anything else to talk about it, or dumb fans who insist they talk about these idiotic topics or else they won't watch?

Nothing against LeBron but looking forward to his retirement so BIG MEDIA can move on.
Yes, Kings blew it by not drafting Luka and blew it again by not keeping Haliburton and trading Fox. And I think Fox is an extremely good player just not as helpful to a winning team as the first two.
