Add Cafe Lane in Paraparaumu for some excellent burgers & views on the beachfront to your repertoire. Denny's is not a place I would go for a T-bone steak, but well done you for trying
You went to the wrong Denny's. You should've hit the one in Manukau, South Auckland. Beautiful food, very clean, up to date restaurant and super loud lol, always busy.
Never go to Denny’s in New Zealand. Especially Auckland! They refrigerate mashed potato and heat it up for you… comes out piping hot on the outside and cold as on the inside.
America did not pick up the knife and fork concept until the 20th century. They would use their hunting knife to spear food. It is bad manners in the US /North America to use your knife and fork together. You cut your food up to edible pieces and then put the knife down, move the fork to your right hand and then spear your food. I was a nanny over there and when I started eating with both utensils and kids just stared at me and their mother explained that I had good manners where I came from 🤣🤣
I'm gutted they failed here. They had two restaurants in Auckland (Manukau and North Shore) and one in Rotorua. I'd definitely hunt one down if I go there.
Hi ive been watching your reviews .make sure you try Carl's junior as well. The icecream and whipped cream milkshake was my favorite. If it's still on the menu
🤣😂😆 the look on your face when those loud vehicles went past at the end and you re-recorded, classic! Here's some insider info for you; Dennys do not season the beef when they cook it. It goes straight on the grill or hot plate and they expect you to season it yourself or the sauce to season it partially so they should have given you salt and pepper. Also that steak knife should have had a wooden handle not plastic for that very reason. There are so many other places you could spend $50 and have a much better experience.
A steak served on a hotplate..... Chefs around the world would be rolling in their graves... You need to rest a steak for the same amount of time that you cook it.... by serving it on a cast iron hot plate, you're still cooking it, so it gives it no chance to relax. Also, if the steak was shit, why didn't you say something? :P. If you're polite about it, most businesses should appreciate the feedback and action it. They can't change what they aren't aware of unfortunately.
You could have spent the same amount of money at a far better restaurant, and got better quality than Dennys give. And you also should have said something if it wasn't cooked the way you asked, as they almost always come to the table and ask if everything is all good........ Steak is one of the things I would not get at Dennys, having had a couple of poor experiences, but I've always found their breakfasts good
It was quite stressfull wathing you with a knife and fork i really thought you were going to hurt yourself. But $50 is really quite overpriced for that meal. There are so many realy good little restaurants where you spend even a little less than that and get top class food.
Personally I don't like Denny's in either the States or New Zealand Each time I've eaten at Denny's in Manukau city and Lynn mall Auckland it has been a big disappointment. I tryed Denny's in Dallas not good at all. So much melted orange cheese As a heads up in New Zealand the shrimps are called Prawns as Shrimp are tiny Please go and try Kiwi fish & chips wrapped in newspaper Drive to a beach and enjoy
Ending part was hilarious. Crazy American at Denny's
Lol, Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the post.
I've only heard bad things about Denny's so I've never bothered to go there. Good to know their milkshakes might be good though.

Makes me wonder what your take on 'Lone Star' would be, a New Zealand owned restaurant chain with an American theme. There's one in Petone.
I had the best surf n turf Oxford pub in Adelaide in Australia back in the day
Valentines 😂 try that
Dennys in porirua is yuck
Try peaches chicken
The price for mains is too expensive!
You need to come to the farmers market in Christchurch lots of different foods to try
Try the smoking barrel in motueka. It's the best
Good afternoon from New Zealand 🌅
Never understood why Denny's is still around, ridiculously expensive for the quality of food you get but the desserts are okayish
Really enjoyed the video!!!❤
I only go there for buffalo wings and curly fries ... thats been my order for over 10 years lmao
The curly fries are great value. With a milkshake. Great combo. Affordable.

I Ate at that Denny's once and enjoyed the burger quite a bit.
In my experience, the best thing to order at Denny's are burgers or breakfast! I'm glad you enjoyed your burger! Thank you for watching!!!
@@GlobetrottingBrock 100% 👍

Denny's is probably the worse place to eat in NZ. Food is not fresh and most of it is fake. Very processed.
wow that’s exquisite
Did the Denny's in NZ have a cleaner bathroom than the ones in the US?
I'm not sure, I didn't have to use the bathroom when I was there
I have never been to Denny’s. I have been told it is total crud.
Nice!
You gotta ask for a thick shake not a milk shake. Two different things down here.
Denny’s is crap throughout MZ such low quality dirty restaurants

No flavour on the steak? It was probably frozen when they cooked it.
You should go try rosie's red-hot cantina & taco joint it’s on the waterfront In Wellington
Dennys NZ is crap. Service poor food poor. Worst restaurant chain in NZ
The Denny’s where I live used to be good but now it’s awful
Never enter a Denny's sober. Only order Oreo shake, Millennium burger, curly fries and or BLT
BROCK MATEY THEY'RE PRAWNS NIT SHRIMP TO ALL AMERICANS
It could be Shrimp. You can catch and buy Shrimp in New Zealand just as you can catch or buy prawns.
Well put salt on your steak then bro duh

Please try a proper Indian restaurant (Indian hot! Want to see you say Kiwis can't handle spicy food after that!) ❤
