I bake meatballs on a silpat. Nothing sticks, ever. :) I would be afraid of turning off the ignition when I meant to turn off the radio while driving. Is that possible? Is there some sort of safety to prevent that? Love the umbrella! I had a similar one as a kid. I'm not superstitious.

I say things that are all true, Marnie. I hope one day you and Michael will come to Toronto for a visit and we can meet face-to-face. You are the friend in my head that I've never met, and yet I watch your videos and feel a sense of familiarity. You remind me of many of my friends; we had similar upbringings; and I guess being Jewish also lends to the comfort factor. I forgot to say Chag Pesach Sameach and may the 8 days of matza be kind to your stomach. Our lives are so discrepant as I am single, no children, but all of my friends are just like you, balancing work and life and family. I am glad to see you celebrating 45 as my friend just lost her mother, quite suddenly. Not to put a sad twist in this message, but what choice do we have BUT to accept ageing? Most of us want to do so gracefully and I am all for doing what makes us feel our best, but at the end of the day, what REALLY matters is that we are loved, have loved and share love. Hi again, I forgot to tell you about a really good tea. It is from England, but you can get it in the USA at some grocery stores or online. It is called Yorkshire Gold and it is the best tea I have ever tasted. I drink it with just a little milk no sugar. That matcha tea didn't look so great.

My husband passed away suddenly five months ago, and Marnie's vlogs, and those of some other TH-camrs have really helped get me through some very long days and nights. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. It's so good to see normal life going on when your own life is in chaos.

Yup...my Safeway’s has a beautiful floral department. One stop 🛑 shopping. Add a punch of salt for the matcha. Now I’m hungry ....🤦🏻♀️. Yikes don’t even mention the word lizard 🦎..I would have jumping up and down like a crazy women. There are lizards in Hawaii too.

It was fun seeing the prom kids. My daughter is 40 so it was a long time ago that I experienced that. My oldest granddaughter is 21 today, but I do remember her prom. Matcha tea has a really grassy taste and it is definitely an acquired taste. Try putting the matcha powder into whole milk Greek yogurt with a little honey - it makes a wonderful face mask.
Hi Marnie, there are other matcha mixes that taste much better. I think the mushroom definitely makes it worse! The Starbucks matcha is yucky unless you get it in frappacino form, that one is delish!
Boy proms have changed. I went to my senior prom in 1987. We went with another couple to dinner and to the dance. I believe the school hosted an after prom, but we didn't go to that. I am amazed at the parental involvement these days. It's nice I guess that you have it all on video.
Try regular Matcha without the mushrooms and add some Honey rather than the stevia. They had some really nice Manukau honey at Costco the last time I was there!!! Shan looks like Frank Sinatra with the sunglasses!!!

Way back in 1979, my best friends mom was going to do my hair for Sadie Hawkins - she had been a stylist but had not worked at it in years at that point; needless to say, I wound up with a teased and rat combed bouffant up-do ala 1960's go-go girl and she slapped on some bubble gum pink lip gloss to go with my Gunne Sax Maxi dress that I thought would make me look like Stevie Nicks, except the bouffant hair-do had to go without my friends mother knowing it was not appreciated. My daughter has junior prom on May 11th, they aren't allowed to take party busses or limos. All the kids get bussed to prom from the high school and then get bussed back to high school around 1130. Tried matcha tea once and it made me sick so I was literally cringing while watching you drink yours🤢
I just purchased an umbrella like that. They are so cute! Also, curious (I always think of this when I hear your crickets text tone) does that tone ever get on your nerves? I downloaded the shortest, least annoying text tone I could find next to it being silent, because I can't stand it when my phone makes noise. Don't even get me started talking about a phone ringing. That is pure torture for me. ha! I would probably throw my phone across the room if it made that cricket sound. I think I should have lived when there were no phones at all ;)

How did the Salisbury steak turn out? I used to have the frozen dinners when I was a kid and loved them. I don't open umbrellas in the house, I'm not really superstitious but my mom was so those things were instilled in me, she would freak out if anyone put shoes on the table. Oh, my, goodness, a lizard on your chest, I can't imagine how shook up you'd be, I know I would be! The memories with that group of kids will last a lifetime, they all looked so beautiful and handsome in their finery and what a good bunch they seemed. That was a full busy week, phew! On to the next one.

Have you tried parchment paper (which you can buy pre-cut) when you bake meatballs. No sticking, even right out of the oven.

I just purchased an umbrella like that. They are so cute! Also, curious (I always think of this when I hear your crickets text tone) does that tone ever get on your nerves? I downloaded the shortest, least annoying text tone I could find next to it being silent, because I can't stand it when my phone makes noise. Don't even get me started talking about a phone ringing. That is pure torture for me. ha! I would probably throw my phone across the room if it made that cricket sound. I think I should have lived when there were no phones at all ;)
The glass chiming one makes me nuts. I change it every few years but in general they all annoy me! 😂

Oh darn, I wish that ice cream had turned out better! Elana's Pantry has some good and simple ice cream recipes (gluten free). I have tried many of his ( the one I sent you ) recipes and they turned out, but I didn't try that one. I thought of Shane when I saw it and that is why I sent it to you. How did the Salisbury steak turn out? I used to have the frozen dinners when I was a kid and loved them. I don't open umbrellas in the house, I'm not really superstitious but my mom was so those things were instilled in me, she would freak out if anyone put shoes on the table. Oh, my, goodness, a lizard on your chest, I can't imagine how shook up you'd be, I know I would be! The memories with that group of kids will last a lifetime, they all looked so beautiful and handsome in their finery and what a good bunch they seemed. That was a full busy week, phew! On to the next one.
The steak turned out great! Definitely keeping it in the dinner rotation!

You and Michael are so good hosting after prom. I did it once my youngest sons senior year. 1 kid snuck in a bottle of fireball ....and his girlfriend was puking in my basement. Luckily my son got me at once to help.
