Aaron, any theories on how Rutgers has increased their recruiting efficacy? Why are higher ranked players suddenly committing more frequently? Why are they cancelling other visits after visiting Rutgers? What is Rutgers doing better of different? Do you think higher ranked players tend to ‘cluster’ or ‘team up’?

Old money vs new money. NIL is new money. There is no excuse with being in NYC buisness market that Rutgers does not dominate. You go on top floor of business school and there is a gigantic monument for the number of CEO's of Fortune 500 companies. No excuse #1 ranked buisness school in NE should help. Old Money is tough. Rutgers didn't become a large program until 90's and donating to it is not in there makeup. But Rutgers NIL should replace this. It's why some large schools in smaller markets are complaining about NIL NIL should be Rutgers equalizer.

I don’t know I’ve never understood why people think Fortune 500 companies would find any use to market Rutgers student athletes with their brands. Big donors from those companies wanting to individually contribute is another story and is certainly something Rutgers could use in a big way.

@@thescarletfaithfultend to agree. Large public companies have national or even international focus which doesn’t immediately fit with state university student athletes. In cases where companies have partnered with athletes, it tends to be with singular athletes with no state or city ties like most pro or college teams have. And it it tends to be around lifestyle. An example I can think of off the top of my head might be Roger Federer.

@@thescarletfaithful I have been asked multiple times if I want to go see Alabama play and invited to corporate sponsored tailgates down there. I know CEO's in NYC who fly to see Notre dame play on weekends and donate heavily / use ND interns/. And they didn't even go there. Success brings success. If Rutgers starts beating the likes of Ohio state / Oregon / USC and Michigan - NYC likes winners. You don't think local car dealerships / hospitality services wouldn't want to advertise RU. It's just we haven't got to that point...yet. Rutgers can have the best story. Rags to riches. Marketing is there. Disney, when you wish upon a star. It just has to keep trending up. When the five starscome, and they will. Billboard on time square. Rutgers does need nice corporate suites and corporate tailgate areas. Display Cut outs of Nil sponsor athlete. It's there, we're not quite there ....yet. Need to get those people on the wall in buisness school to buy in, bring them in and treat them like gold and let them have fun. Successful people are surrounded by successful people. They are your bird dogs. It will be the best football story ever told...marketing.
