Brilliant! Saturnia 2005. Park up on the newly opened motorhome aire and walk to to falls. Have our time in the pools, get dry, dress and head back to the van. Realise that we are walking alongside the hot stream with reeds growing along the banks. Decide to have another dip but, not wanting to put wet cossies back on and nobody about, whip our clothes off and get in. So far so good until the time comes to get out and there’s a continuous stream of traffic going by our pile of clothes!! Bit wrinkly by the time we manage to get out. 🤣🥴
Hi Michelle & Andy, I'm loving your videos of Italy. Thank you for all the information & fantastic scenic footage - particularly the drone. From your vids I'm madly planning our 5 week campervan trip Sept - Oct 24. Many thanks.
Thanks 😊 it's great to hear you're enjoying the videos, Sept-Oct is a great time of the year to go travelling and 5 weeks is a really good amount of time👍🏻 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Wow loved this video, love following your adventures. Really enjoyed seeing you drinking a New Zealand Oyster Bay wine. Look forward to the next video. From a New Zealand kiwi fan in a caravan following your extreme adventures. Cheers 🥂
Thank God you bought Katie and not that Winnebago!!! Those access lanes to the campsites are tight. Ahhh Florence beautiful city. Loved your excursions.
For a moment at the beginning I thought you were counting the pigeons 😂🕊️ not the amount of turning required, absolutely fantastic 😍 much more than this i did it my way ❤
Ha ha pigeon counting!! there were a serious amount of birds at this campsite actually, thankfully they were well house trained and didn't leave their mark! Yes that moment with the Italian guy was really special❤️ Cheers...Andy&Michelle
The campsite we are on now in the North of Italy is even tighter to get out of😱, have a chicane of olive trees to negotiate out of the campsite and then a wall'ed road for 50m so tight , the wing mirrors have to be in🤣 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
That really is the weather to experience the Hot Springs😀, after the last few weeks hiking and skiing in the Alps we now know how difficult deep snow can be, we've had to turn around on the mountains a few times because we just couldn’t get through it! Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Really, oh dear and there was me calling it a Hi-de-Hi moment! I can't imagine a UK campsite playing the national anthem at 8am in the morning, good on them for being patriotic 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Another great video guys. It looks like you had a great time. You can’t beat a bottle of Oyster Bay even when in Italy ha ha. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc all the way. Loved the hot pools and you stopped off at many beautiful spots. Irvine & Karen
Thanks Irvine & Karen, it was a great time had in all 3 locations in this video, looking back we should have had another day in Florence, so much to see, cheers...Andy&Michelle
You had wonderful Italian weather and the crowds were quite unaware when you were on your bikes! Love teh beer and wine at every turn. Do you have any Schengen problems? It is one that we Canucks will have to deal with when we finally get over.
Hi Allan, no one seemed to bother at all about the bikes, even when we were riding the wrong way on a one way street! I guess anything goes in Italy! We are restricted to 90 days in a 180 day period in the Schengen, it hasn't been a problem for us yet but as we take longer and longer trips it will start to get in the way. Is that the same rule for you? Cheers...Andy&Michelle
One of our favourite places is North Wales, we were there just over a month ago near Borth-y-Gest, but now in the Italian Lakes😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Italy just has it all 😍 You've Really got the juices flowing now were nearing the end of our winter season 🏂🚡 and the start of the Spring touring season is around the corner.. Cinque Terre is our 1st scheduled stop when we head off 🇮🇹 (Cant wait for that vid 😬) Still wondering wether to do Saturnia - What do you think, was it worth it 🤔 Florence was majestical - We got chatting to a couple of locals in a cafe and ended up having dinner with their friends in a very traditional Florentine restaurant, way of the tourist trail.. It was our first experience of Bisteca all Florentina (Best steak ever) - The owner brought a huge thick steak, enough for 6 of us, and cooked and seasoned it as we were chatting and drinking local wine (probably cheaper than 1.30 😀) and served it with simple vegetables 😋 🚐💨🇮🇹❤Bounasera
Italy really does have so much to experience, we are beside lake Iseo right now and having a fab time. The Cinque Terre is amazing, are you taking bikes? The ride through the tunnels is something special. The hike is a lot to do in one day, we only just made it. Just working on the video now 😀 If you are in two minds about Saturnia then maybe your time would be better spent enjoying something else, it's a bit out of the way and realistically you wouldn't want to spend more than 1-2 hours there. Don't get me wrong though its a great to see and bathe (but not so good to smell!) Love those moments where you get off the beaten track and have the local experience👍 those are special , cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures - Yr in one of my fav places right now 😍 Yes we upgraded to E Bikes after watching how much more accessible yr adventures are with them 🚴🏼♀💨⚡ We cycled through similar tunnels in the south of France (think they are old railway tunnels turned into cycle routes) Thanks for the advice and the great content Iän & Angie 🚐💨❤
Lovely video, great shots of Florence. Would you recommend the Hu Firenze campsite? I ask because you are doing my upcoming trip to Italy in reverse and I have booked the Hu site in both Florence and Rome (then onto Sorrento).
Hi Steve, we booked it for convenience and solely for location which it was good for, we prefer not to use commercialised sites like Hu Firenze but it had good links to the motorway and a shuttle to Florence. Ok we'd say for a few nights. 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Thankyou, glad you enjoyed it. Oh dear...did we say Oyster Bay is Italian!! we drink enough to should have known better!🤣 Thanks for correcting us😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Most important is to have fun ! We are travelling as a small young family in a rented motorhome in Tuscany mid October for a week. Your videos have been very helpful, thank you. Any special places in terms of great camping sites (specially for kids) and Agriturismo (staying in the vineyards) will be greatly appreciated.
The only places we've stayed in Tuscany are Florence and on the Cinque Terre, there are lots of nice villages to hike between or you can catch the train between them if too much for children. The app "searchforsites" is very good for lists of the sites and the facilities
Great vlogs, we are just starting our motorhome adventures and wondered what ebike security measures when out on your excursions? Many thanks a motorhome called Avabel.
Thanks Martin 😀 re our e-bikes we store them in the garage and when we are out and about we almost never leave them, we do have very strong D locks but they are heavy to carry around , it would be nice to ride to our hike start points and leave them locked but unfortunately we don’t live in that kind of world, there’s usually good public transport from sites so it’s not too much of an issue for us, happy travels in Avabel😀 Cheers…Andy&Michelle
oh thanks for that 😀 we were at Bracciano in October when it was closed, by chance we are now back in Italy on lake Iseo, on the only campsite open at the moment - lovely lake views😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle

The architecture and history is incredible! Definitely on my list of must visits for sure, brilliant video mate 👍🏻
Thanks Daz, we seriously needed to spend at least 2 days more in Florence, so much to see that we didn't have time for, Cheers😀
What a stunning tour. We loved Florence, a real highlight of our Tuscan adventure. 💙 Trev n Sue
